RIP headphones. I love every one of yalls videos! I'm the woman who always has a knife on her. Everyone asks to borrow it or for me to cut something for them. I own a Kershaw Blur Ken Onion. I've had it for 5 years. Its gone through so much and been around the nation. It has also cut me out of my car during an accident. I had the tanto version before that. It was difficult to keep from rounding the corner during sharpening. These might be the solution! My list for knifes right now is: Esee 6, Esee izula-2, Benchmade bugout, Dessert Warrior Kalashnikov, and Gerber Auto 6. Still looking for more to add to the list. Thanks guys!

Thenks for a video. I own a worksharp Ken onion edition with grinder attachment for like 5 years. Now I use it mostly for kitchen knifes and axes.
    On my opinion, advantages:
-speed, sharpen a full set of kitchen knife within an hour,
    - sharpen different stuff like swords or axes.
    - it can fix a geometry of the knife if you broke a tip, or get cracks on the edge. It will not take so much time comparing to other sharpeners.
    - it can do a convex edge.
    Disadvantages:
    - it rouns a tip. Now matter how you sharpen.
    - you will never get a not curved edges.it will always some sort of convex.
    - creates a lot of dust so don't use it on a kitchen, work in the garage or workshop.
    - you need to be extremely precaisious when sharpening a thin edges like 0.2mm. most likely geometry will be ruined.better use more presice equipment like tsprof or edge pro.
    Cheers to all.

So wait does the heat the belt creates on your knife disrupt the temper on the edge? I'm watching sparks fly off so there's definitely a fair amount of heat there, right?

as long as you stick the knife in water between each pass it should be OK. thats what pros do with full size belt sanders.

The precision adjust sharpener screams out for more grits. It isn’t a pocket sharpener like the field sharpener. I would like to see two diamond grits finer than the 600 grit. Like 1000 and 1400. Add a strop to the upgrade kit also. I bought a 3D printed replacement for the stones that you can put lapping films on. Mirror polishes are super easy.

Doesn't the belt grind a rounded edge? Does the belt sharpen as well or better than stones?

How does the band not get cut when you drag across on the opposite side? I am puzzled by this. I am intrigued and this would make sharpening a lot quicker and easier, but just so curious.

The only thing on the power tool sharpener is the price, I can get a dewalt drill with a 5ah battery for cheaper than than belt sander.....you guys price yourself out.

The Blade HQ videos aren’t the same without Ben and Zac. Even after Ben left Zac kept them pretty awesome. But I don’t get the same enjoyment out of them anymore.

Ya so I'm left handed and I do struggle with some power tools. This unit would definitely be tough for me to use. Unless...... There was a way to clamp it to a table top or reverse the handle.
