I am 100% sure Jason would love hanging out with Golden Age Batman. For those who don't know, the first version of the character is very violent towards criminal and does not think twice before ending the life of a threat, like when he shot the Mad Monk while the undead was sleeping. In fact, when he threw a criminal into an acid pit during his first appearance, the only comment he made was "A proper end for someone like him"
Dude even after he got his "no kill" rule Batman was a savage. Remember when he left KG beast to die in a tunnel? He operated more of the " I won't kill you, But don't have to save you either" I wish writers would bring that back, people these days make Batman obnoxiously self-righteous.
This is why Jason Todd is the most dangerous Robin around he's not afraid to brutalized his opponents. I even said this during the event of DC versus vampires where red hood beat of a vampiric version of Nightwing and he was ready to kill him. In a way Red Hood is basically the original Batman/Thomas Wayne Batman from Flashpoint, where he used to kill his villains. Plus many sleep on how intelligent Jason Todd can be when he puts his mind to it.
With enough planning, and if he’d fought each Bat Family member one after the other separately, he’d have beat all of them. Even Cassandra, with all her training and deadly skills may have a weakness. That’s not to say Jason doesn’t have a weakness either, but he’s willing to cross lines others aren’t. Damian would be difficult to contend with, but Red Hood has the experience that Damian lacks. Damian’s arrogance can be used against him, he lost focus in Injustice after all, slip ups like that can mean life or death in a fight with someone like Jason.
I like how they're all ready to square up but as soon as they bump into someone they drop everything to help them out only to continue the beef after 😂
Speaking of "A Death in the Family," I've always found pretty fascinating the alternate page the authors made in case fans voted for Jason to live, which shows a blissful Batman holding Jason's body while yelling, "He's alive! Thank God!" I wonder how the Batman stories would have continued from that point if that page was the one used at the end. Anyway, it was colored and featured in "Batman Annual 25", the special issue that tells how Jason was revived, as "the reality that should have been", according to the narrator. They should have definitely adapted it for the interactive film
I think that what would've happened afterwards is that Jason would plead Batman to kill Joker after what he did to him (and his mother) and seeing that Batman won't do it would give up being robin and a few years afterwards would still become Red Hood. I honestly think him becoming red hood or another character assuming a similar mantle was inevitable, because the idea of a once Batman sidekick becoming a brutal vigilante is just too enticing to not use, especially for writers who need to constantly brainstorm for ideas. If Jason didn't die and still wouldn't have become red hood, someone else would've.

It kinda bugs me how much people over/underestimate Jason. On one hand, seriously, people *do not* realise just how intelligent and meticulous Jason can be when he wants to. I do absolutely think if you left him enough time and motivation, he probably could take out the other Robins. But acting like he could stomp out all of them at the same time like it’s nothing is just plain stupid. Jason shines when he fights dirty, and used every little advantage he can. It’s part of what makes him different outside of his lethality. He’d have to pick his own grounds, and pick them off one by one, and even then Nightwing would be the main test to see if Jason could actually handle the rest, maybe Cass depending on your perspective. Either way, he’d walk out of that extremely messed up knocking on death’s door. He *could* win, but it wouldn’t be a guarantee, and again, it’d have to be on his terms for him to have a shot.

Really, jason is at his best when you try and jump him with a crew. Cassandra-martial arts skills are on par with her mother But choses not To go all out Tim-uses and studies opponents weaknesses Not the best Fighter Dick- Goes Toe to Toe with Batman and in one occasion beats him in fist fight Holds back Jason-will Brutalize you more than rest of the family But Nightwing has Beaten Red hood more than one Occasion
Weird how this could be fun and serious without becoming too silly or cheesy. As far as a fight between the Bat Family goes, this one felt like a breath of fresh air.

But he only reserves that for fighting other Mystic power users, usually outside of Gotham. Feels it would be unfair and separate him from his batfamily role... ...which includes kickin' their ass when the batfamily is being uncooperative, stupid or stubborn, which is usually 90% of the time. Plus, he's more gadget savvy, which is why he electrocuted her so easily.

Jason almost killed Tim on sevral occassions, and put him into the hospital. Jason almost killed Dick on several occassion, stole his identity, and killed a bunch of people dressed as NIghtwing. Jason beat up Damian. Dick went undercover to Spyral to save his family (he was forced to keep in secret the fact that he wasn't dead) Insted of thanks Jason just punched him. Jason is the one who treats everyone in his family like shit, even members who have never hurt him, like Tim, and Dick.

I don't see how using a holding back Batman on dick and a clearly not holding back Batman on Jason (when he punched him and Jason laughed his off saying "Never seen you hit Joker that hard") and Dick has only beaten a holding back Bruce, except for one time and they were barely even. Jason is stronger, more durable, and just as trained as Dick was. They had the same training except Dick is a bit faster since he was an acrobat.
I do think Jason was holding back... But I also think they held back as well and if I had to wager, I feel like it takes more effort to fight 3 people than for 3 people to take on 1. So Jason likely did put more effort in that fight compared to everyone else.
I was waiting throughout Gotham Knights for Dick and Jason to go at it, but I enjoyed how it turned out instead. Surprisingly decent writing in that game if anything.

I knew he didn't just bump into some lady for no reason, figured it would be someone who suddenly joined the fight though. PS: as much as I love seeing Red Hood get a little love, the idea that he was doing this well against Nightwing, Tim, and Spoiler at the same time when any of those 3 could arguably beat him 1v1 is kinda weird (and he claims he was holding back on top of it)
Thing is I'm pretty sure Red Hood, even before this issue, is stated to constantly hold back against any batfamily member unless they're not the same anymore (Like for example if he were fighting a clone of Dick, but didn't realize it was a clone until later on, he'd stop holding back.) On top of that, if he amps himself mystically, you could argue that no one but cassandra and bruce would be able to really beat him, maybe current issues of Dick too, but it'd be super high difficulty, but in my opinion, a Jason with no bars held, would wipe the floor with Tim.
@@mominshah1932 of course he’s holding back but they’re holding back too. I’ve seen some pretty detailed breakdowns that argue every way you can imagine. But the majority seem to say Dick would win and is generally more skilled (received more and better training since he was Robin the longest)
@@natman2939 Honestly it's really hard to scale Jason, because every time he fights, the enemy is usually nerfed for some reason, or he just outright loses in most comics, while on the other hand, its the opposite for Nightwing, but yea it's pretty obvious Nightwing vs red hood would end in Nightwing winning 65-70% of the time, in the time I made that comment I forgot that NW had fought an amped deathstroke while fatally injured and won with ease which is pretty odd, and a bunch of red hoods feats get retconned and unretconned so it's pretty hard to work around
@@mominshah1932The retcons are the worst part tbh. Jason was on absolute demon time in Under the Hood; he even calcs the beatdown from Bruce to lead him to the Joker for that climax. Then he went from boss character to unlockable, then writers didn't know what to do with him, then he became Anakin Skywalker in N52 with mystic amps and the all-blades, then has some insane showings and some jobber showings. I think the most impressive stuff from Rebirth/ present timeline is in Event Leviathan #3, where he dogs Bruce, Damian, Oliver, Plasticman and Martian Manhunter in the same fight. Dick vs Jason is most definitely a 50/50 fight. I think that's the case with any of the top tier batfamily members going at it, anyone from Bruce to Cass, depending on writer, circumstance, etc.

Jason tried to kill Tim several times. He tried to kill Dick several times. He beat up both Tim, and Damian. He stole NIghtwing's identity, and killed a bunch of people in NIghtwing's uniform, so people thought NIghtwing is a murderer. Jason attacked Dick multiple times.
Given none of them were that serious it's fine but Jason shouldn't be better than Dick or Cassandra, I'd give either of them odds 1v1. Pretty cool fight though.
I'd say Jason could take on the bat family except Cassandra and Bruce. He's stronger and just as well trained. Maybe Tim is more well trained bc Bruce wanted to make sure he wouldn't die but Jason is stronger and potentially faster.

Considering Jason is better than Batman and has already beaten all three of them before in 1v1 scenarios, yea, Jason is more than capable of giving them a tough time 3v1. The only thing that doesn’t canonically make sense is how any of them could stand a chance against Jason in a 1v1 when he’s shown to be better than them time and time again.

I expected a longer fight, especially between Jason and Dick, but as you can see, Jason didn't want to. Fighting with his family, even if he has fought with three of the strongest in the Bat-family, that is indeed a feat. I hope that DC continues to give Red Hood more proesas 😎,

I do think Jason was holding back... But I also think they held back as well and if I had to wager, I feel like it takes more effort to fight 3 people than for 3 people to take on 1. So Jason likely did put more effort in that fight compared to everyone else.

They were holding back more than he was, but still it was extremely high end to do as well as he did against them. 💪
I knew he didn't just bump into some lady for no reason, figured it would be someone who suddenly joined the fight though.
PS: as much as I love seeing Red Hood get a little love, the idea that he was doing this well against Nightwing, Tim, and Spoiler at the same time when any of those 3 could arguably beat him 1v1 is kinda weird (and he claims he was holding back on top of it)
I think if Dick came there to kick his ass he definitely could 1v1, but he was basically sparring from what I could tell.
Thing is I'm pretty sure Red Hood, even before this issue, is stated to constantly hold back against any batfamily member unless they're not the same anymore (Like for example if he were fighting a clone of Dick, but didn't realize it was a clone until later on, he'd stop holding back.) On top of that, if he amps himself mystically, you could argue that no one but cassandra and bruce would be able to really beat him, maybe current issues of Dick too, but it'd be super high difficulty, but in my opinion, a Jason with no bars held, would wipe the floor with Tim.

@@natman2939 Honestly it's really hard to scale Jason, because every time he fights, the enemy is usually nerfed for some reason, or he just outright loses in most comics, while on the other hand, its the opposite for Nightwing, but yea it's pretty obvious Nightwing vs red hood would end in Nightwing winning 65-70% of the time, in the time I made that comment I forgot that NW had fought an amped deathstroke while fatally injured and won with ease which is pretty odd, and a bunch of red hoods feats get retconned and unretconned so it's pretty hard to work around
@@mominshah1932The retcons are the worst part tbh. Jason was on absolute demon time in Under the Hood; he even calcs the beatdown from Bruce to lead him to the Joker for that climax.
Then he went from boss character to unlockable, then writers didn't know what to do with him, then he became Anakin Skywalker in N52 with mystic amps and the all-blades, then has some insane showings and some jobber showings.
I think the most impressive stuff from Rebirth/ present timeline is in Event Leviathan #3, where he dogs Bruce, Damian, Oliver, Plasticman and Martian Manhunter in the same fight.
Dick vs Jason is most definitely a 50/50 fight. I think that's the case with any of the top tier batfamily members going at it, anyone from Bruce to Cass, depending on writer, circumstance, etc.

I'd say Jason could take on the bat family except Cassandra and Bruce. He's stronger and just as well trained. Maybe Tim is more well trained bc Bruce wanted to make sure he wouldn't die but Jason is stronger and potentially faster.

Considering Jason is better than Batman and has already beaten all three of them before in 1v1 scenarios, yea, Jason is more than capable of giving them a tough time 3v1.
The only thing that doesn’t canonically make sense is how any of them could stand a chance against Jason in a 1v1 when he’s shown to be better than them time and time again.
