    You know it's a legit advice when it's coming from an Olympian and world champion.

      James Ambrocio Hes more than that, hes the absolue Goat of Long distance running. been watching him since beijing

      James Ambrocio that sounds a little sarcastic, if you read it with some certain tone

      Actually he isn't tell us shit. Because he wants to remain a champion. Smart move but he's misguiding people with his 3 to 4 minute superficial rambles about general exercise. It's good for people that don't have a clue, but it's not the most helpful advice for anyone that is more serious. You're awesome Mo, but this youtube channel is not.

    The key element is that he does not stretch his muscle for a long duration. He warms them up for few seconds (10 seconds or less) and then, he moves to stretch other muscles.

    I like it...no complex terminology/verbiage, no fancy moves, no contorted stretching, just simple and to the point and this type of warm up 80% of the time will get the job done! Thanks, man!!!

    Very simple, non-injurious stretches that anybody can do. I was amazed at how comfortable and effective they were.

      @TheChris69er 7 лет назад +2

      LOL, Omar did you not know that Nike now make special shoes that change colour just when you want them too even bouncing of a wall. In reality I actually found it rather annoying and distracting from the content of the video.

    • @fn4957

    Those of you asking for breathing advice. Have your lungs work for you, not you work for your lungs. I have long strides so i in a sequence of two strides i inhale and then exhale in another two strides. It basically gives your body and mind a rhythm that does not put as much shock on your lungs as it would if you’re constantly breathing in and out rapidly or slowly. I improved my 5k from 22 minutes down to 19:30ish in a matter of a month or two. Im 220 lbs so if you’re a smaller individual, you should run even faster using this breathing method.

    I'm enjoying all of these videos at the moment, thank you! I have some ideas for potential new videos:
    - Cooling down from a Long Run or Interval session - what sort of stretches would you do?
    - And also one about injury, whether it's about avoiding injury or how to help treat injuries.
    Any of these would be great!

    I was analyzing Mo's physique as he was going through that routine. its interesting how well defined his thigh and calf muscles are. An indication of a low body fat percentage.Though defined they are quite small relative to a bodybuilders physique. I assume he doesn't do a lot of resistance training, so all that dense compact muscle should have come from thousands of hours of pounding the road or pavement. A sickening work ethic no doubt.
