I think we could be looking at a horrifying miscarriage of justice in the Letby case. One thing you don't cover though is Letby's diary, which the press at any rate made a great deal of. Personally I don't consider it compelling evidence of guilt - it could equally be evidence of mental breakdown or brain-dumping under pressure -, particularly since on the very same page she appears to confess to the crimes she also appears to deny them, but it would be good to have MD's take on this. Could this even have been a failing department seizing on a convenient scapegoat?
Lucy Letby agreed in court that there was undoubtedly a poisoner working her shift. There are also no deaths when she wasn’t around. There were actually 13 deaths in her final year, she was present at ALL of them. There are also two children here who have serious liver trauma, an expert likened it to something you’d see in a car crash.she falsified medical notes and stole confidential paper work relating to these baby’s and stored it under her bed in a box labelled keep… she searched for the parents of these babies on social media years later in clusters, and remember no one had grouped these babies together at this point, she wasn’t just searching for dead children’s families, how does she explain grouping these children together before anyone else. You have her in her police interview denying knowing what air embolisms were, when she’d taken a course explaining them in the months before the murders… babies do NOT die unexpectedly at such an alarming rate. There are exceptions to the rules but there aren’t 7 this is a coincidence too far, Lucy is guilty, she did this on purpose because she is not good enough to care for them, she is evil
One of the key thing that was not talked about here was the keep sakes/trophies being saved for these children and research into the families after the deaths by Letby. There is also a confession written out although it could be that she was blaming herself for a mistake not a deliberate action. I was actually quite disappointed these were not raised in the discussion here. These do have possible explanations too but are very suspicious.

Thanks. Got to hand it to team Trump though, who've come out with the nickname Commie-La. That was a stroke of genius. Never suspected they had the brains or the wits to think that one up.

Anyone know of similar content on podcast or RUclips for Canadian politics ?! I love this channel and should get into my domestic politics
Hmm, Rational National is canadian but he mostly covers US politics. You could also try The Deprogram podcast which is international and has guests from all over the world. They've had a few canadians on, perhaps seek out those episodes and go from there if they say anything that strikes you as interesting?
@@satyasyasatyasya5746 thank you ! I’ll check these out … tvo with Steven and JMM have a great RUclips channel but they are on summer hiatus and focus only on Ontario
Can Canada do satire? Is Mike Myer's rather puerile comedy as good as it gets?
@@stevemitchell9176 No, the list is much longer.
@@youtubewatcher2 Yes I know. The comment was very much tongue in cheek. I lived in Buffalo, NY for 15 years and am very fond of Toronto and Ontario - although not the QEW or the Leafs (Go Sabres). I was really just riffing on Canadian stereotypes.

@@hermatred572 completely false, we have two babies deliberately harmed with insulin Lucy Letby herself accepted this and that it happened on her shift
@slingo1246 care to share that evidence
@@hermatred572 Police interviews
Letby was interviewed by police in July 2018 about that night shift.
She remembered Child F, but had no recollection of the incident and "had not been involved in his care".
She was asked about the TPN bags chart. She said the TPN was kept in a locked fridge and the insulin was kept in that same fridge.
She confirmed her signature on the TPN form.
She had no recollection of having had involvement with administering the TPN bag contents to Child F, but confirmed giving Child F glucose injections and taken observations.
She also confirmed signing for a lipid syringe at 12.10am, the shift before. The prosecution say she should have had someone to co-sign for it.
"She accepted that the signature tended to suggest she had administered it."
"Interestingly, at the end of this part of the interview she asked whether the police had access to the TPN bag that she had connected," Mr Johnson added.
In a June 2019 police interview, Letby agreed with the idea that insulin would not be administered accidentally.
Can we move on from comparative laugh styles to comparative dance styles. please.?
How many cliches can be used in a podcast in 20 minutes?
I swear Ian Hislop brings up Sarah Palin more than Alaskan politicians do. He'd better buy a gun, I don't think momma grizzly will date a man who doesn't own one.
I put a large bet on Biden . I'm hoping he changes his mind , storms to the nomination and beats Trump .
Ringo Starr - 84 yrs old, Mick Jagger - 80 yrs old (just wrapped up a big tour), Keith Richards - 80, Ronnie Wood - 77. Lets drop the age comments and go with how they are.

Private Eye Front Cover 'TRUMP STEPS DOWN'........ page 2 'dont be stupid'
More likely Trump needs to be very careful from now on making any public appearances with his VP choice.... Vance is the sort of guy where "accidents Happen" and a flight of stairs or an escalator etc. are hazardous places to be....
British people talking about US politics is so depressing
And vice versa.
Dr Hall’s conclusion is extremely flawed. He says he thinks these babies were far sicker than the prosecution portrayed, however in his report for baby K. He cannot rule old the prosecution experts conclusions of air embolism as this baby’s cause of death, he also can offer no alternative to what the prosecutions regarding cause of death, if the babies are “sicker” than portrayed then why can’t he put forward a cause of death? Ultimately we are left with no one putting anything other than air embolism forward as a cause of death for at least baby A. What are we supposed to believe? Dr Hall does try to mitigate this fact though by saying the air embolism could have been “accidental” and i mean you might get away with that once, but not for 3-4 deaths…
The babies had perfectly normal autopsies - there was no suggestion of foul play of any kind
@@yingyang1008 there were two babies in this case that Lucy Letby herself AGREED were deliberately poisoned with insulin, so we already have foul play. SOME of the babies that died did have post mortems yes, however many of these post mortems didn’t end in a cause of death being recorded. Granted foul play wasn’t found at the time, but you have to remember these children NEVER left the hospital, pathologists, rightly or wrongly are looking for natural causes with a biased eye, again these babies never left the hospital.
@@slingo1246 The fact is that there is no proof of a murder having taken place
There is also no proof of any kind of Letby ever harming a child
Call me old fashioned - but if was a juror on a murder case, I would first what to see proof that a murder had actually occurred
All we have is a hypothesis by a very dubious 'expert' - a hypothesis which is found to be ludicrous by plenty other experts
The entire case is a shambolic embarrassment and actually quite terrifying
I genuinely find it terrifying that people like yourself may one day be required to serve on a jury
Gave up on this one i'm afraid.
Bye Genocide Joe.
There was other evidence in the case beyond her work schedule.
Her behaviour witnessed by parents and doctors and other colleagues.
Her presence in the wrong room where a baby died instead of being in the room she was supposed to be in providing 1 to 1 care to another baby.
Her written entries in documents found at her house showing her true thoughts.
AND her work schedule.
None of that proves her guilt.

You've done well
Premature articulation.
Why can't you pronounce Kamala's name as she does, i.e., correctly? Is it that large an intellectual leap? I don't even think it's an accident. I think its a pompous English choice - 'I'll say it as I think it should be said'
You caaaaant be English if you don't stretch a vowel or two, deeeear. I lived in that country for 4 years. I was regularly referred to as "that Irish guy" because the non-rhotic English had trouble with an R in the middle of my surname. Or suuuuhname, if you will. They call Fiorenza "Florence", Munchen "Munich" and gay Pareee boring old "Paris". It's just their thing, mispronunciation. They have their good qualities, too. Sometimes. I recall.
@@johnmckiernan2176 The Italian for Florence is Firenze and the German for Munich is München (the umlaut is not just decoration like it is with heavy metal bands). I'm sure your colleagues were trying their best with your surname and the contributors to this podcast are doing the same with K'muhlla here.
@@FoggyD Fiorenza was the medieval name in the Florentine dialect which gave rise to standard Italian and it's been "Florence" in English since that time. I'm old school like that. And I have no idea how to type an umlaut because it appears in no language I speak, read or write. So ner ner ne ner ner. As for my colleagues; not a chance. Not even with palate surgery. Be assured ""that Irish guy" was about the most polite thing I was called...
@@FoggyD Also, you'll notice that there is no city called Paree. Your pedantry is miniscule compared to mine. Microscopic, in fact.
