the fact you even included the upper stave in that transition passage to create chromatic thirds is wild aswell as the fact that you did ad lib for that c octave gliss
This is impressive! when I was studying the waldstein I tried to octave gliss and it was so painful. I have no idea how you do it. I read on the internet that it used to be less painful on historical pianos.
This is La Valse by Ravel who was a composer from late 19th to early 20th century. Liszt also has a lot of flashy and catchy pieces. I can send some recommendations if you want to but there is a version of this piece for 4 hands played by Martha Agerich and Sergio Tiempo which sounds amazing.
My fingers are saying "Nope. Not doing that. Too painful.".
You slide along with your fingernails. It should not be painful.
@@halcyonacoustic7366 maybe the action on your piano is lighter than mine.
@@halcyonacoustic7366 you can't use your fingernails for a chromatic glissando
Your hands are so mesmerizing through that octave chromatic gliss
For real lmaooo
That looks deadly as hell, bro...
The way you switch your hands going up and down is as smooth as a magician... And the sound is awesome too.
bro casually nailing my dream piece

the fact you even included the upper stave in that transition passage to create chromatic thirds is wild aswell as the fact that you did ad lib for that c octave gliss

you literally have martha argerich's techique so without any effort amazing
i dont think you can say "without any effort" when clearly a lot of effort was put into this
More like so much effort was being put in,
that it looks like no effort is being put in

Is it meant to hurt?? You play it so effortlessly it seems, but my fingers are dying 😢 Can you tell me how you play a chromatic glissando properly?

Is there a genre just for this little bit of music? I know it's part of a whole song.
