Just got a DW788 and was confused from all the other videos I watched about blades. You made it easy to understand. I have several types in my Amazon cart now. Thanks.

Thank you for your videos, am learning much. Especially appreciate your "no-fluff" delivery method (hands not flying everywhere, straight to the point and a most lovely voice.) Talked with Miter Mike, Bear Wood, who guided me to an adapter for my scroll saw to accommodate pinless blades; plan to make wood puzzle for my grgrandson's Christmas gifts. Please keep your videos coming and maybe in one you could share about your wonderful framed artwork "This is the day The Lord has made". Love that! Thank you again and have blessed days.

Great advice, especially about the tension. I use jewelers coping saws a lot, and tension is similarly tricky. Success comes with calmness & practice. :)

I like your presentation, It is a common sense perspective on blades and lower end saws. You do very nice work by the way, and if one day you do upgrade to a Pegas saw, it will make your srolling much more enjoyable. I have done several scroll saw presentations over the years. The one thing regarding blades more so than the Blade number is Teeth Per Inch (TPI). As an example You can have a Pegas skip tooth 2/0 blade with 28TPI or a Pegas MGT 2/0R blade with 15.4. And to confuse the matter more some MFG are different.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge about scroll saw blades. Just getting started with scroll sawing and recently purchased a used dewalt 735. I’ve heard that Pegas blades are the best option. Do you agree? Subscribed and looking forward to learning more from the projects you create.

I have one of those Porter Cable saws and it ALWAYS jumps from side-to-side. Only been scrolling a couple of months and already am leaning toward jumping to the Pegas saw.

I’m sorry you’ve had so much trouble with it! It was a good beginner saw for me, but I now know from comparison that it’s not an easy machine. I upgraded to a Pegas 2 yrs ago and couldn’t believe the difference. Very smooth/easy! If you do decide to head that route and order from Bear Wood Supply, the code WENDELLWOODWORKS will save you 5% :).

Thanks for the saw advise. Sorry, buy Pegas is not in the budget, maybe if scrolling becomes more of a money-maker; time will tell. I picked up a Dewalt 20" for $150 on Marketplace...CHA-CHING! Time to watch some more tips videos.

After looking into it more, unfortunately they’re only for Deltas or DeWalts right now. Hopefully they’ll make them for more models soon.

For information: there are no "Pegasus" scroll saw or blades. The name of those superior items is Pégas [pron: "Pay-gar"] and they are of Swiss origin and manufacture.

Hi, Jonathan! Thanks for watching! Truthfully, I’m unsure. I would reach out to Pegas and ask. I’m thinking they have two different models, but I’m not sure what types they’re made for. I’ve heard good things from people who have been able to use them!

@@WendellWoodworks I checked and Pegas does not make one for Porter Cable. I have a porter cable and wish they did. I would like to know who you talked to so maybe I could follow up and see if there is a way to do an upgrade that might not be an approved one.
