- Linus Gorpe is seeking an investment of £72,000 in return for a 5% equity stake in his business 'Raw Chocolate Company'. The Raw Chocolate Company manufacturer and retail their 'healthy' raw chocolate bars that use unrefined sugars “which won't raise blood pressure levels”. All of the Dragons want a chunk of Linus' raw chocolate, but who has more to offer?
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

This guy missed out. Could’ve stored a tonne of chocolate bars in Touker’s office space.
Ready made warehouse facility.
Hahah
Because HE LOVES WOMEN
😂😂😂😂
More then a tonne, I would say about 100 Tonnes 😂😂
Laughed so hard at infinity foods brighton when Toukar wanted him to say Marks and Spencers.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
That guys definitly doesn't need a plane to fly to peru...
Where are you from KK?
He can fly anywhere 😂
Your handle reminds me of the show _Löwenzahn._ 😍
Yeah because hes already high as a kite
Kekskopf Keks *guy *definitely *Peru 😎 ✌
I feel like poor Touker offers to invest in like 70% of the pitches but no one ever picks him. He's got free office space too in case you didn't know . 😉
Also dude he usually wants like half the company every time.
That's mostly because he always tries to get a huge chunk of the company, frequently more than double of what the contestants are willing to give away. You have Peter Jones there, that always asks for a higher percentage but mostly to allow for some wiggle room during negotations, while Touker frequently asks for 35, 40 or even 50% of the company, just based off who he is, as if bringing him on board is in any way a guarantee of success. Any reasonable entrepreneur would frown upon his demands, since such high percentages completely destroy their current valuation of the company and give him too much power in decision making, plus a big slice of the potential profits. And if contestants try to negociate more reasonable terms he immediately declares himself out.
I don't dislike the guy, but his negotiating style is the definition of greed.
@@sorrenblitz805 I think he's just gauging the entrepreneurs. If they try to negotiate down, they have good spirit and might be worth investing. If they just straight up turn him down, he dodged a bullet.
That’s so true. The Deb’s n Peter show isn’t it
Touker is really awkward. You can tell in this episode by his controversial talk, first saying that he has more to offer than anyone else, and then saying he would split with nick.
I think that is quite offputting to most people and definitely to this guy who is all about feeling things. But that's not right in business specifically. Business is about evaluating the best opportunity and definitely Touker, made the best arguments.
If this guy was born in the sixties he would have been a religious cult leader
he LOVES the women
The spiel at the start reminded me of that creepy hot yoga guy.
@@Staplegunner Who doesn't?
Totally. He's like some creepy, arrogant, controlling sociopath and he could have loads of women.
He can make more money as a leader but can have more women as a follower.

Update on this company. He should've made the deal with Peter or Touker because the deal with Deborah fell through. Three years later (in 2018), the company stopped trading due to heavy losses. It then merged with another chocolate company, "Conscious Chocolate." It still trades/sells today as of May 2021.
Thank you
Touker’s deal is the best fit here. Sad though
Thank you. I hate that I always have to scroll down so far to see legit responses. Again, thank you
@@jane111608 yep, him and Peter seemed especially interested and could offer legitimate help which they clarified. He probably just went for the one that charged the least or didn’t like their aggression
Quite surprised he didn't choose Touker or Peter offer. Yes, both asked for a quite high value, but he could at least ask for a counter offer once the money paid back. But, what could I say? He loves women.
Entrepreneur: Marks and Spencer’s Cameraman: Zooms to Touker
he should've obviously picked Suleiman's offer: -10% extra but he gets the perfect expertise to make his business a super success.
Why Touker?
Deborah clearly has more to offer as a dragon with her background in retailing and leisure industries and she was offering a smaller equity like this guy obviously wanted.
The best offer here would've been Nicks and Touker's joint offer. But Touker got too eager and tried to one-up Peter which screwed that up.
@@bakersmileyface his company fell through and got bought by a rival company so she clearly didnt do a good job
@@way2375 damn
My exact thoughts. I wouldn't be surprised if Linus was high before he came into the den :P
I think he was too greedy with the second offer. He would probably have been the better dragon, but he was asking for twice the equity Deborah was asking for and only offered an extra 36,000 pounds.
0:00 - 0:10 - And on that basis, I'm out.

I would've taken Toukers offer, he by far seems the most enthusiastic and willing, giving great tips off the bat, and willing to spend time helping in growing the business. - Clearly that's why the "Raw Chocolate Company" was sold off. - Chose the wrong investor for the type of business he had.

@@jimmybaldwin737 The same thing lol, just look it up, I couldn't find financial details. It looks like they were bought by another company "a "friendly competitor" which is very rare in business.." so it depends on how much they offered and still hand down to him...
I believe he struggled with financials after the deal he was offered on the show fell through due to issues with the company name. He then sold the business to one of his friends who also owned a similar chocolate company. That’s all I know, I very rarely see him.
Good for this fella. Hows the company doing. Is it in Marks and Spencers and if so is it ok for diabetics to eat as diabetic chocolate is not all that from what i gather and im type 2 diabetic. I feel bad for suleman. He rarely gets picked and yet he seems like a genuine guy
I like Touker too but I think he's quite greedy in most episodes, usually always wants a lot more more equity than what's being offered and/or what the other Dragons are offering.
David Mcloughlin I think it’s cuz he wants to be more involved in the business as opposed to a passive investor, and so he probably feels he deserves more as he will be putting in work (which I understand)
He’s richer and more successfull than Deborah. This guy should’ve went with Tourker as he’s experienced in this field.
@@davidmcloughlin6547 Not as greedy as Peter who gets picked a lot. Even if there is a "better" offer on the table, people often choose Peter. I guess it's his confidence.

agreed so annoying, if we dont hear the sales, profits and other financial details, it's so hard to contextualise anything. This episode makes it sound like he's getting big offers just cause his chocolate tastes good.
He has stated that his model is doing well, restricted by available financial capital, has a middle man, that can be cut out with a flight to Peru further improving an already successful business. Nuff said.
Id blame the editor though. 😉

It would be great if Dragon's Den could add value to this series for us by giving a summary of how each deal did or didn't proceed, and how the company fared.
Seems this one didn't finalise, and by 2018 raw was in administration and merged with another company...and it was thought that the combined effort "might" make a success...so, for all the optimism, seems this 'Viking-window cleaner' didn't conquer the world, or even Sussex after all.

It’s very difficult to make cacao taste like chocolate without going over 118°F during fermenting, drying, roasting, or grinding. Conching is particularly difficult at such low temperatures, so it's debatable whether "raw" chocolate is really raw.
