'Ghostmother' is probably the most beautiful song Moderat has ever made.
in line with "last time"
Rusty Nails too, that song is too good too (no pun intended)
Portishead
What a strange way of typing "Let in the line"
dang joanna newsom's ys as pfp surely my type of music taste
This song is absolutely haunting. It makes me feel a profound, bittersweet sense of loss.

I could not describe this better than you did a year ago. #Hannah Smart.
Could be, but, that felling is yours.
on the contrary. I think this song is about letting you haunting ghost go and overcome the fear of them, letting go and jump of the ledge into an new life, free of you ghost of the past.
Never or less,.. interpretation is up to everyone personally and moderat created an absolut bliss of a song here.
when masterpiece isn't good enough of a word.
this is srsly one of the finest moments in german music creation,.. if not of the world. What Moderat created here is the purest and deepest emotions, cast into a wonderfull song about letting old ghost (traumas) of the past go and be brave enough to start anew.
you gotta love those guys
i probably listen to this song more than 500 times a year
Damn. Since yesterday I can't stop listening to this live session. It has litterally become my morning lullaby.
Same!! this is like so inner touching.. just can't explain!
:P listening to it at 8.18am......
Céline Chuche do u have Instagram?
Me too
I walk in-between
What do I see
Blank-eyed angel
Staring through me
The room filled with stars
On astrology cards
Porcelain figures
Of what used to be
The ghosts that haunt
Were in there with me
I walked to the edge
And all the fear left me
I went to the grass
Searching to hide
The song’s clear and
Dazed from my mind
The ghosts that haunt
Were in there with me
I walked to the edge
And all the fear left me
The ghosts that haunt
Were in there with me
I walked to the edge
And all the fear left me
Oh, I saw it
Standing in a sigh
Went through the grass
And there on the edge
All the fear left me
Whoa, I saw it
Standing in a sigh alone
I ran through the grass
And there on the edge
All the fear left me
I ran through the grass
And there on the edge
All the fear left me
I ran through the grass
Jumped off the ledge
All the fear left me
Thanks a lot

Awesome, fucking awesome
FETT!
Wahnsinn! 😱❤🕉☮
Vocal and music in general is awesome! Love this!, it's 3rd day im listening on repeat few realy awesome songs.
Can anyone suggest me something similar to this? Lovin this!
Juris Balandins lorn, Jamie xx, apparat, nosaj thing, Bob Moses, darkside, Nicolas jaar, massive attack. I personally think radiohead has some very similar qualities, in fact, I think apparat's singing is pretty influenced by Thom Yorke. I think this song is even a direct nod to pyramid song with lyrics "I jumped in a river and what did I see? Black eyed angels swam with me"
Atoms for Peace
Nosaj Thing
Rone
Apparat lol
fucking fantastic
🙏💓🙏
What kind of 'reverb' is it ? Great performance as always.
I put this song on for my bf that’s currently on 🍄 and he’s minded blown rn
i love this song so much... but has anyone noticed how much the lyrics copy pyramid song from radiohead?
Whoa, good catch. They're conceptually identical, that can't be a coincidence.
That moment you get mad that the like/dislike bar is unproportionable to the numbers.
👍🔝
omg omg.... i am done with this vocals...
Sascha meu amorzão ♥
Hey! Where can I buy this version of the song ? It really should be released. Much better than the other LIVE version available.
sounds as good as the studio version... very less artists can do this!
only love
Not my favorite kind of voice but fuck, it's great dude
What about this song ?
HOT
This lyrics are so similar to Pyramid Song of Radiohead...
it's only one lyric let's not get too loose now.
The line about "Black Eyed Angels" immediately brought me back to "Pyramid Song". Thematically they feel like kindred spirits to me, but they are otherwise quite different. Unique (and beautiful) takes on a similar prompt.
😎🙏💤💤
ma sei proprio tosto... complimementi 😀
moderat chidar
Wow standing around awkwardly while nob twisting/button pressing... So impressive to watch live it blows my mind......
literally no different than standing around with any other instrument, and the awkwardness is all on your end
bam
No it really is different than standing around with an instrument. Do you play an instrument? It actually requires more skill than finding the correct nob and turning it left or right. I know there's gonna be a ton of people defending this group on their own video page and that I'm not gonna have the popular opinion here but the fact of the matter is it takes a fraction of the skill and practice to do and that just makes it boring to watch. At least for me. Not to mention how limited it becomes if you want to put any kind of expression into your playing
When you see an actual skilled musician live one of the appeals is seeing how intricate as well as how fast he can pull off what he does. Not everyone listens to music for the same reason but for people like me who want to actually see something compelling live, this just isn't it. Idc if I'm the turd in the punchbowl on this one I'm not gonna blind myself to the reality of what's happening here. A couple of tools using buttons on machines to play the music for them... Vocals are the only skilled part of this group as far as I'm concerned. But that's just my shitty opinion \o/
3:41 _Press button_ *Stand around and wait* _Press button_ *Stand around and wait*.......... Real mind blowing
you obviously know literally nothing about actual music production
