Such a gentle way of saying the truth. One thing need to be changed. Nehru's intention was ANTI-HINDU and politicians say but they don't keep words because their intentions are not what they say. Nehru's intention internally and his execution of Anti-Hindu agenda was always there.

But did you guys noticed everyone forgot about people of kashmir that includes kashmiri pandits and muslims. No big step been taken yet for there development, no govt. Ever helped them. If think, raja hari singh was the best ruler for kashmir because after him people of kashmir never been in peace.
EVERY POLITICAL PARTY whether india or pak play same kashmir cars to gain votes, but no solution to the problem- the welfare of kashmiri people. People of kashmir now have 2 different opinions half want kashmir with india and half with pak.
We should focus on what's next, not what blunder nehru did, he had a lot to do, bcuz india was broken that time

In December 1922, Chittaranjan Das, Narasimha Chintaman Kelkar and Motilal Nehru formed the Congress-Khilafat Swarajaya Party with Das as the president and Nehru as one of the secretaries. Other prominent leaders included Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy and Subhas Chandra Bose of Bengal, Vithalbhai Patel and other Congress leaders who were becoming dissatisfied with the Congress. The other group was the 'No-Changers', who had accepted Gandhi's decision to withdraw the movement.

Totally agree with the fact as to how JN was chosen rather than elected as PM and how Vallabh bhai had to give away what should have been his role, clearly Gandhi was enamoured by Nehru’s outlook and charisma.
But the manner in which he has been presented in this clip reveals a very biased view of a freedom fighter who was the longest serving PM of India.
Nehru inherited a different India, an India ravaged by British excesses, an India that still had states yet to accede to the Union of India (like Kashmir, Hyderabad etc). He had a lot of challenges at the time. He played a lot of roles besides PM and was involved in making many major decisions militarily, financially etc. His vision of India was that of a modern, advanced, self-reliant sovereign country. He wanted India to be a secular country perhaps left leaning. He did not want to be a pawn in the hands of US or Russia when they sent ‘feelers’ around to have India’s view on joining the UN Security Council in 1950 and 1955 respectively. Don’t you think this would have been vetoed by other member countries like ROC (Republic of China), France which were already members. The UN charter had to be amended to accommodate India and this would have required all 5 members to agree. When the UN was actually found (created), US, UK, ROC, Russia and France ratified the UN charter to become permanent members. In 1971, when PROC (People’s Republic of China) was recognised by the UN as the sole legal China that they replaced ROC at the UNSC.
Nehru did not want to create an enduring animosity with China, with whom we share our border. He wanted to establish a long-term relationship with it. He believed that India would one day earn its place in the UNSC.
As a responsible researcher of history, he has to present a balanced view and also explain what was or may have been Nehru’s thinking and vision behind the decisions he took.
We owe some respect to a man who spent years in jail during the freedom struggle and helmed the most important role of PM during very difficult times for India. Most women of his household including his mother fought for the freedom of India and his daughter was assassinated as serving PM.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. It is very easy to pick holes in a fabric without understanding what the fabric has been through it’s lifetime- it may have clothed a person, kept food warm, cleaned the worst surfaces, used as a tie if long enough etc.
What I mean it is very easy to pick up on someone’s mistakes and state they should have done it this way or that way and things would have been rosier.
Nehru chose of mix of socialism with private enterprise. He did not go the American way ‘consumerist’, ‘capitalist’ because he did not like American society or culture. Perhaps if he chosen the American way, we would have been a less religious and more agnostic society like the US, UK, Europe and there would less religious conflicts and more cultural acceptance and tolerance of diversity as it is in these countries now

    Nehru has always been HeRo?
The Guy who is *big hearted* that he gifted POK to Pakistan, Coco Island to Myanmar and Aksai Chin to China is truly our National Hero! (Like his own property!)
The Guy who strictly committed to *secularism* such that He allowed the Sufi Imam to make the Mosque but warned Rajendra Prasad to not attend Somnath Temple innaguration is really true Secular guy
The guy who gave up the Permanent Seat of UN to China is *really Big Hearted?* (Today, We would have been more powerful due to that Veto Power)
Our Books show His Contribution in our Independence, I respect that! But Books must not be afraid to talk about the other Facts of our so called National Heroes like Gandhi, Nehru, etc.

Caste discrimination is rooted not in religion but culture. Caste was an ancient system of occupational class delineated in Hindu texts that over the years developed into a rigid social hierarchy. The lowest castes, or untouchables, were marginalized and faced persecution. Caste-based discrimination is not intrinsic to Hinduism and should not be thought of as religiously sanctioned.

Perhaps if he chosen the American way, we would have been a less religious and more agnostic society like the US, UK, Europe and there would less religious conflicts and more cultural acceptance and tolerance of diversity as it is in these countries now

One quality of Nehru ji I admire is that he was very nuch insistent on India catching up with technology ( space research, nuclear power, defence research..etc..) with the western nations even when the liberals and communistsythen arguing India should not be looking towards technological development since it is a poor country. At least that he did not fall for the liberal narrative.

Good to see that in the name of giving respect to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Subhas Chandra Bose we start abusing nehru and Gandhi 👏🏻👏🏻. We thought or true also that in past 70 years government did not pay such respect which sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Subhas Chandra Bose deserved but we also never disrespect and abuse any freedom fighters because all of them are our heroes and all of them are on same page.
Leaders should be scrutinized and criticized for wrong decision and praised for good one but we should not disrespect any freedom fighters at all.
It is very sad to see that we start abusing our heroes.
