- Demolition began around 3 a.m. Friday morning. Crews planned to bring in equipment to remove the bridge's pillars later in the day. The road itself will also need to be resurfaced.
These kinds of accidents seem to be happening more often.
The governor lies saying it won't come from the taxpayers who do you think funds the department of transportation?
How can they possibly have a spare bridge on such short notice…? 🤔
The traffic is insane
I know that it's wishful thinking, but I hope that the Gov. of Ct and CTDOT would contact the Gov. of PA and PennDOT on how they dealt with that tanker explosion and the highway rebuild on I-95 in NE Philly.
A YELLOW TIE, A BLUE SHIRT, AND BROWN SHOES. HMMMMMM.
No way they're actually demolishing the bridge
They have to it’s not safe to drive on it collapse if someone drives on it
85% of crashes are due to 4 wheelers = CARS driving to fast and cutting off trucks. I drive a truck and I'm cut off many times a day, I've had cars pass me on shoulders at highway speed, sometimes half there car is in the grass doing that, running lights and stop signs as they pull onto roads I'm on so they can get out in front. it never ends well for the person in the car and all this money that taxpayers will have to spend now is because 1 person in a car couldn't wait or pay attention. When they talk about cost, this bridge removal will cost upwards of 5 mil just to remove it and get I-95 reopened. Also Every big rig out there these days has front and rear facing cameras so if you think your cutting off a truck and no one will know, think again. that's how they know the car cut the flatbed off and caused all this as the video from these trucks is uploaded in real time to the company so even if the truck burns up the video is already safe on a server ...
