This is an unbelievable interview !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our area has some of the best !!!!!!!!! Peace Quincy I’ve performed on your show before . Guru is one of the dudes I always look up to and learn from (interviews like these) when I’m in the lab. Peace !!!!!!
This is a great interview! We gotta start calling Young Guru "Professor Gu" He's a master at explaining complex processes in a way anyone can understand. On top of that, Fuzzy & Quincy do an incredible job keeping the flow and details of the conversation on point. Branching off to get the back story on a situation, they bring it right back without falling off from the main topic. They even asked questions on little shit right when I thought of it. It was like they were inside my head, for real. I've never seen such a thorough interview. There wasn't a single area that I felt needed more explanation. I literally had no questions. My head was straight humming contently with inspiring and conclusive knowledge. ✊🏽👊🏽✌🏽
Met Guru in LA some years back, spinning at the Pensado Awards. Dude is solid. Always look forward to hearing his speak. I took a couple shots to get ready for this. Gems!
This is my first introduction to this podcast, I’ll def be catching up on the catalog! And when he got Dre on the phone; Love to see two geniuses in their field show respect and admiration for each other.
FU**ING AMAZIIIINNNNGGG interview ...man i really enjoyed this convo. Guru's 1 of my fav engineers (him and Ali) and the insight on here was gold. Thanks for this. **subbed and turn the bell on**
Shout out Wilmington, De..had Lotta fun there..1st state bowling alley...Elsmere skating rink...Thunder Guard...Safaree bar on 5th & van buren...The Catpaw
One of the most informative and genuine hip hop conversations I've listened to in a looong time. This was gem after gem of insider knowledge on what it takes to put together all those classic records. Thanks for making this happen! Subscribed on the spot too BTW. Pure quality.
Favorite music interview I’ve watched this year by far. And that tip Dre gave on how he mixed 2001 is very true! In Scratch magazine interview he said the same thing and I always use that advice when I’m mixing my beat.
yo I love using hard ware drum machines to create my music , just yesterday I dugg up my old beats that I made from my drum machine yo my beats sounds real thick and im playing it from the computer but it sounds so analog it sound like im playing it from the cd player , nothing beats that analog feeling
Fuzz I love u.. south central ni66a grew up on u.. but stop interrupting big dawg, let the guest finish there thoughts.. and stop reverting everything back to a story about yourself.. show has real potential otherwise
Guru from Gang Starr and then this great producer. Respect 2 the producer but to call him Guru is kind of taking away from what hip hop stood for from the beggining. Can't just debo someones name and run with it. Is crazy that he is referred 2 as if the original Guru from Gangstarr never excisted. Young guru should have never been calling himself by that name. Foul
Guru is very important for the culture man. Full of knowledge and wisdom
Guru a legend. I’ll watch anything he’s involved with.
Solar wants to have a word with you.

So many 💎💎💎💎💎’s
That’s a heavy Lo piece.
I wonder if Guru was ever spoken to about the popular hip-hop biopics we have, now. A doc or a biopic on him would be sick.
Salute Guru, Chester in here.
