  • In Episode 3 I'm going through the drawers in the white tower and getting them cleared out. I've also experienced a few other decluttering victories around the house which I share at the end. I'm finding this to be an enjoyable process. There is one area though that I still haven't attempted because it intimidates me a tiny bit. Every little victory adds up so I will continue on! Who's with me?
    We could dub this series, "Confessions of a Cluttered Crafter"! I never thought of myself as a person who hoarded a lot of things or who kept a cluttered home. However, I am having to face some hard truths about myself when it comes to downsizing and decluttering my spaces - especially my craft room. I could get overwhelmed, but I've learned that dividing up a large job into a series of small jobs makes it easier and more likely that I will accomplish my goal(s). Join me as I tackle condensing my craft room a little bit at a time!

    Making great progress!!! I love all your china!! GORGEOUS pieces!! We listen to cds and watch videos when we’re traveling in the motorhome. Sometimes WiFi isn’t fast enough to stream tv channels and our phone hotspots get used up pretty quickly! I’m inspired to go through my craft room and clean, discard, donate stuff I haven’t looked at for the past year! ❤

      I hadn't thought about how handy to have DVDs and CDs for traveling, but it makes good sense! I know you got rid of alot of supplies a couple of years ago, but stuff still creeps in making more to get rid of down the line. Kudos to you for keeping after It! 👌👍💖💖💖

    I've been discarding things for about a year. I'm going to move across the state in August or October to be closer to family members, best friend of 56 years and Godsons. I've been taking it in bite size chunks and it's a slow but steady process. Some days, because of my job, I can't do anything but I dive in the next day. You just have to keep at it. I loved hearing your stories, seeing all of your beautiful vintage dishes, and your china cabinets. Thank you for the inspiration and for sharing your decluttering process with us!

      Exactly, you just have to keep after it until one day you realize that you've reached your goal. You have been on my mind as I am clearing out my things. I'm cheering you on from Idaho! 💖🥔💖

    Thanks for the encouragement! I decluttered one shelf in my craft room this last weekend and condensed my dvd collection from 2 small bookshelves to 1. Small victories!!

    I have enjoyed watching you downsize. I totally cleaned my craft room when I retired 6 years ago. I did a bit of work about a year ago and I did a bit more. Then my mom passed away and I had to go through lots of my parent’s things. I have put that away for now. I am inspired by you to get things rolling again. My craft room is a disaster! I like your small chunks idea.

      That is so tough, I'm sorry for your loss, Kristi. It's okay to pause the decluttering process to address the bigger issues in your life. Take it in small chunks and you will get it all done over time. I have to say that I normally don't break down my projects like this, but I am finding more motivation to continue knowing I won't wear myself out in the process. Decision fatigue is real, my friend (not to mention the physical fatigue)! Prayers for your grief journey - take all the time you need. 🤗🥰💖💖

    Hi Marci💕
    This has been enlightening and we don't realize the stuff we have. I still have baking dishes and entertaining stuff that is still in boxes yup its time to go. I will see if any of my children want them and bye bye. Thank you for this series I have enjoyed it, hope you have a beautiful sunny day. 🤗 Big hugs!

      So true, we don't realize or remember all the stuff we have. I am so proud of you, Celeste, for taking on this job of clearing out your craft room and household. It's a good idea to ask the kids NOW what they are interested in rather than carting it around for several more decades. It's the smartest thing I ever did, and I know you will also reap the benefits of letting go of the unnecessary things now. I'm silently cheering you on!! 🥰🤗👏👏🤛🥳💖

    Watching you sort those small tags reminded me that I have a container of several, various small tags that I never use - mine really should be donated so they can find a happier home. A thought about the wired tags - maybe it would serve you well to put on some gloves and remove all the wires at one time, so the tags are easier to use when you want them?

    • @CreatorsCall
      @CreatorsCall  4 месяца назад

      I pull the wires in small batches but haven't thought of wearing gloves - 💡‼You're a genius, thank you! Now I can get them all done in one last wire-pulling session. You have my unending gratitude! 🧤💖

    I need a new 1/4" hole punch, and I noted that you think the DT punch is nice - have you had it long? I'm willing to pay more for longevity, but not if it's unnecessary....

    • @CreatorsCall
      @CreatorsCall  4 месяца назад

      Hi Kathe! I've had that punch for a couple of years. It seems well made and is comfortable to squeeze with the purple grippers. To be fair, I have only purchased the 98-cent cheapies in the past which hold up just fine. Unless you have an issue with gripping (such as arthritis), I wouldn't worry about paying big bucks for a single hole punch. In my experience they all seem to work and hold up the same. 💖
