I hate to be that guy, but this is what I love about the fallout universe, us younger folks would never have heard of these great songs that changed the 40s and 50s if it weren't for the game. Thank you Obsidian and Bethesda!
I just learned about this song! My great-uncle Addell Cote's B-17 was nicknamed Mr. Five by Five, must've been named after this song. It was lost with all hands in 1943 over the Zuiderzee. RIP.
She was really one of the great - mostly unknowns. It's great you guys put this stuff up on youtube and a whole new generation gets to hear her - and many like her. Brilliant voice and a cutie too!
I could listen to this and Cow-Cow Boogie every day, a couple times a day for forever. Put the two back to back and my day just improved. I even like it when Freddie Slack joins in. He's got kind of a "every-man's" voice that sounds great paired with Ella Mae.

Played the Fallout 76 beta last night, and this was definitely one of my favorite songs on the radio. Glad I found this great song.
Elvis Presley to Ella Mae Morse: "Lady, you taught me how to sing."
Sammy Davis, Jr. to Ella Mae Morse: "I thought you were one of us."
My dad use to tell my sisters. If you eat too much you will end up like 5 by 5.
Mr.5x5 an absolute unit, you cannot deny
This song survived 11 decades. I doubt any modern songs can do the same.
What a fucking beautiful voice.....worth every cap....
Thanks Fallout to show me the best music in the world <3
Heard the reference to this on "The Great Gildersleeve". Seemed like everyone in Summerfield was singing it and it annoyed Gildy to no end
Fallout got me here...this girls got soul. Now I have to check out her other stuff. She is awesome!
A rock n roll, pop music pioneer. A shame she doesn't get much recognition.
What an awesome voice! Just perfect! She should have reached the top of the world -- she was robbed!

Why I have I been denied the sound of this woman. I've a simple version for the piano, but have never heard it sung before. What a lovely voice.
