    the only video that showed how to change sway bar, never would have tried if you didn't post this clip. You have saved me a lot of money. thanks!, I will try to repost when the job is done, im a slow one xD

    Great and helpfull video. Most of the time I heard the bushing were not replaceable and you need to change the whole bar. But you proved the opposite🙏
    Thank you.

      Brother I still need an advice before I start work mine.
      Is it really necessary to loosen the sub frame if you only need to replace the bushings instead of the whole sway bar? I mean isn't there enough space to drill away the bushing holes once the 4 bolt are loosen?

    I was looking to swap out swaybar bushings on my 2015 Jetta SE. Just discovered the sway bushings are not available separately. Option is to go aftermarket bushings but have to remove the old ones either way. This video will be my guide when I get the parts. Thanks for these great videos on your channel they are very helpful

    Thanks man, this video was so helpful. I got halfway through the removal of my sway bar before I realized I needed to go MUCH further than just disconnecting the frame mounts. Thanks for the great video.

    I just did the bushings replacement on mines , I just dropped the subframe and called it a day .

      you did a bushing replacement on the stock sway bar?

    • @72onez81
      @72onez81 2 года назад +2

      @@CraftyWorkshopBuilds thats correct was able to find the bushings online , drilled out the brackets and replace the bushings , I did videotape the process, not all of it but will see how I edit it to explain to viewers lol sometimes in the heat of it you forget to pull out the camera

      @@72onez81 Yea, I removed the bolts and dropped the subframe as low as possible, and there was still not enough room, and I didn't want to disconnect the steering rack and such, lol. Yea, working a recording at the same time, can make the process stressful.

      @@CraftyWorkshopBuilds lol yea I know 🤣 I did a full complete front suspension upgrade , and alignment might do a drivehaft rebuild vid if I dont forget to pull out the go pro hahah 😜

      Did you change them with polyurethane bushings or OEM rubber type? Also when you drilled the bracket did you reuse the brackets or buy new ones?

    Did you undo the bolt behind the pedals on the driver's side? That is the instruction from another video from the RUclips, to be able to lower the subframe.

    Is it safe to jack it up from that spot on the pinch weld? It's not reinforced I was always told you have to jack it up from the pinch weld and put the seams under the control arm mount or risk the pinch weld rolling and the stand going through the floor

      I've been jacking up my cars like this for years, without issues. Definitely jack up your car which ever way you think is best for you, and be safe.

    Thanks for your explanations. I just have a question about the stock bar. After drilling the support, the nut is "free" how do you screw from below the subframe and prevent the nut from turning with the screw?

    • @CraftyWorkshopBuilds
      @CraftyWorkshopBuilds  2 года назад +3

      You could use a wrench or socket to hold it. It should slip into a little slot and stop turning once you start to tighten it.

    • @bartuurk
      @bartuurk 2 года назад +2

      @@CraftyWorkshopBuilds yes you are right, after looking closely the original bracket has a nut shaped hole on one side. This will block the nut after a few turns of screw. Thanks again
