Thanks for the tutorial! Just FYI, There is a weird bug in Keyshot where using the color gradient in this way doesn't work when editing a multi-material. So you have to make this material as a single material, save it and then drag it into a multi-material list if you want to use it with a multi-material. I can't say if this is an issue for everyone but it was for me.

Yup, in the material properties panel you can hit the 'disc' icon next to the material name to save it to your library

After adding granite to the transmission there is no change in visuals for me. Could it be because I use Keyshot 8.16?

Yes. There's a bug in KeyShot 8.1x where mapping the transmission doesn't work. I definitely recommend to upgrade.
