    This is fantastic, thank you!. I am a potter and like to design ideas in Maya first. I have tried taking this and following along in Maya, I get so far using the aiCurvature node, but then am having issues trying to layer/mix shaders to get the same results. Do you happen to know how to also do this in Maya please?
    Many thanks

      Good to hear! Done use Maya I'm afraid but surely achievable with some digging. Would love to see your pottery. Where can I find it?

    Hi Liam! Great tutorial, thanks for that. I have a question, the lights you use are HDRI or you use area light?

    Awesome tutorial! super simple and quick !
    question - Why not use the other files (bump, roughness, reflection etc) that come with the material download to be plugged in for what they're meant for?
    Or does it not make much difference just using the diffuse for everything?
    just curious!
    thanks!

    • @LiamMartinTutorials
      @LiamMartinTutorials  4 года назад +1

      You're not wrong. You'll likely get the same effect with bump anyway, and because I altered the other settings with Colour To Number I felt like using the Diffuse was fine

    Your videos are easy to understand. Nice videos. I have a request. Can you please do a video on lighting silver jewellery video in which you tell us how to get white background renders in perfect light

    • @LiamMartinTutorials
      @LiamMartinTutorials  4 года назад

      Thanks. I haven't done any jewellery yet so I'm probably the wrong person to ask. In terms of the background, check out my lighting metals video. Just use white instead of grey

      Banding could be due your monitor or the image quality. Maybe try exporting in something like a tiff?

      Hey Nikhil! had this banding issue a while back. no idea what causes it. Thankfully my brother is a photographer and knew how to deal with it.
      ruclips.net/video/eJXfahupTi8/видео.html
      For animation you maybe have to repeat this for each frame or find a tutorial for removing banding in animations ;D
      hope this helps! Good luck!
