I agree with you, it's just a great track. It's not the semi-over the top fusion of some of his tracks, but it's still great. A lot of his love ballad tracks aren't' that either, and they're still killin'. What we have here is a great collection of songs, played by very good musicians, with great arrangements and production, and it works. I could list 20 tracks from Gino that I think are all great tracks. Some are funky, some are slow, some are more technical, some are more neo-classical, but they are all very good to my ears. Here's a list of tracks that I think are reaction worthy: Where Am I Going Mama Coco Love Is A Night Mardi Gras Valleys of Valhalla One Night With You A Song and Dance Black and Blue A Pauper in Paradise (movements 1 through 4) Father and Son Keep on Walking Gettin' High People Gotta Move Powerful People Fly Into This Night Love of My Life Appaloosa I Just Wanna Stop Wheels Of Life Living Inside Myself Black Cars Hurts To Be In Love Wild Horses
The Brother to Brother album is just so great! Has some Jazz flare in some of the songs. The River Must Flow is an awesome song. He put on a great concert as well.
Thanks, Justin for playing this track. It's a great groove that lifted my spirits during this very tense time before the November election. I loved the album when it was released, and it hasn't lost its charm decades later.
My reaction by the first few bars and falsetto started: "Oh dear god no!" This is what is playing in the background when background music is taking a break.
Hi Justin. Dave from soggy London (Rainy Days & Mondays...). Really liked the title track and Appalooza that you played, but found this a little bit bland and generic. Storm At Sunup is the album I know best, as a local DJ played it a lot in the 70s when I was at college in Manchester UK. It is more jazz fusion than pop. Never bought it though, maybe because of all the chest hair Gino was displaying on the cover! If you want a proggy long song, how about The War Suite from his Gist Of the Gemini album?
I am a big Vannelli fan but even for me this one is a bit too Vegas-y. I hope you'll try an earlier album next time. Thanks for giving Vannelli some time on your channel, JP. Powerful People?
In my opinion, Storm at Sunup and The Gist of the Gemini are his best albums (although I also really like Crazy Life, Powerful People and A Pauper in Paradise).

Lol!
Sounds best with headphones. Yeah
Revenge of The Bee Gees, lots of falsetto going on up in here. Not my favorite song but it brought a river of flowing memories… river must flow.
👍It's so obvious that it sounds like the Bee Gees in their disco days! Justin mentions Steely Dan but personally that never occurred to me!😉
Suggestion
Route 101 Herp Alpert...
Suggestion. No thanks!

@a.k.1740 Fly Into This Night is a favorite for me!
@@summertime_blooz If I really had to choose a favourite Gino track it would probably be between "Storm at Sunup" and "Where Am I Going".
Yes, Steely Dan.Could be a Gaucho ssng. The Black Sea must flow too , Justin.
Steely Dan?🤨 I always thought that song sounded like the Bee Gees from the same era! (although musically it's a bit jazzier here!).
Funk always gives me urban mental images. As if it should be the sound track for walking a city sidewalk.
For sure :)
Light funk pop. Very bland.
@paulcollins5586 Does our host like everything? He's definitely Mr 99%.
Hated it. Think Canada, think Neil Young! Maybe in a couple of years i imagine as my thoughts turn to The Incredible String Band! 😐
I want a Screaming Trees album. Buzz Factory, by example.
@@jtenazThat would be great, although my choice would be 'Sweet Oblivion'!
@@Owlstretchingtime78 Yes, even better.
