RUclips has been doing this shit for months and plans for it have been going since Trump won 2016 in an attempt to burying political dissenters and push main stream media. The excuse is they use "new algorithms". I too was unsubbed from Falco just this morning.
I use joking as a coping mechanism, so it's understandable. A superior in my cadet corp died last year and all I did was joke and look away. I still don't know if I've dealt with it. So I understand
I have found over the years that it's just easier to joke around about something than actually say something seriously. This is cause its alot less demoralizing to hear "Was that a joke?" And have them explain the actual topic instead of making a wrong statement/assumption and hearing "Are you stupid?" And have everyone in the room silently judge you for getting something wrong, while the people you were talking to make you feel like trash
Scott WE LOVE YOU, we wouldn’t be here if we didn’t. Maybe some only want you to do the same stuff over and over, but you have loads of people who are here for your personality.
Hey I like that Scott Falco guy, he’s a talented animator with an interesting view on a lot of my favorite properties. He’s really good at making fun of or criticizing something without being toxic. I love his videos and I’m glad I found him. Thanks Scott!
This comment might be buried but I still wanna write in. This piece hit me hard. Although our topics are different on RUclips, this video relates to me 100%. This year, I too have been consistently struggling with numbers, the performances of my videos, comparing myself to others, and creating content that I think will do well not necessarily what I wanted for the same reasons you listed and it killed me. I broke down in October and had to take a break from everything. Though the break wasn't as long as I wanted, I'm doing my best to slow down drastically for the sake of both my mental and physical health to figure out how to create content for myself again. Thank you for making this video. Thank you for speaking out. I felt as if you were talking directly to me. I, too, am looking forward to 2020 for myself and for your content! Good luck Scott! Can't wait for the MM animation!
"you joke more than you should because often when you don't joke you often say the wrong thing and at that point you don't have an excuse" is definitely something that emanates with me.
That shit is violent, if you’re smart in coal mining and want to continue in it consider applying to teach coal mining at uni’s that have that course open, ironically it won’t actually help the people you teach but it’ll give you money
"The shortest path is the detour." This is an important lesson to always remember, Scott. Don't try to rush for success, and don't worry about trying new things. Life is full of ups and downs, but as long as you keep getting back up after every hardship, you'll eventually reach the top.
"Learning takes time, and noone wants to wait these days" that hit me like a truck because it's so true. I don't know how to say something that will help but keep on trucking scott that's all we can do these days
"Scott Falco with a side of sadness and a hint of hope" Happy Holidays and a very good New Year, Scott. Take all the time you need to keep _yourself_ happy, not just the systems. We're all rooting for ya.
" _Learning takes time, and no one wants to wait these days_ " This single quote hit me hard, this whole video hit me hard. Made me question myself. But one things for sure, ill be sticking around scott. You're videos are insanely good, keep going scott.
"Inspired by" isn't the same as copying Scott. You're an inspired thoughtful and genuine animator. As well as doing millions of other unique things. Something that is truly hard to find on youtube. We love you man. Your on your way Just keep on chugging
“Inspired by” it isn’t the same as copying DP you’re an inspired thoughtful and genuine animator. As well as doing millions of other unique things. Something that is truly hard to find on RUclips. We love you man. Your on your way Just Keep on chugging
Scott, the fact you realize what your problems are, is something that gives me a great amount of respect for you. Keep going man, love your work and what you do. Keep going scott
Ikr? i cannot admit to so many ppl half the stuff this man did xd. At one point i was "i wish i would have half of Scott's determination to do this side of salt about himself"
Honestly, this is why you’re my favorite RUclips animator. Yes, you have fantastic opinion pieces with Side of Salt. Yes, the Totally Legits are a great look into speedrunning. However, what makes you the best for me is your honesty and self-awareness. You aren’t afraid to look back on past personal shortcomings in order to leap forward, and I can’t think of a better trait for a creator to have.
Scott honestly dosent deserve to be smashed like he has. He needs to realize his health comes first. Hopefully he sees this and remembers to take mental health days. And to remember that ine should only look to the past to learn from it, not dwell on it. And hopefully he can manage to get through the vicious 'what if' cycle. Everyone has one, and those who say otherwise choose to ignore it. Stay strong Scott. Keep making good content
I personally loved your 2019 work I’ve had a really shitty year too but your videos helped me get through that, you made me laugh when I thought that it was impossible you made me happy when the opposite So what I’m saying is thank you Scott you are amazing and here’s to 2020 being better for all
Here's something i've learned this year: You can't make everyone happy and maybe even someone might not even appreciate what you do, especially these years. BUT there's always people that will love your work. You're an awesome animator and i've loved the stuff you did this year. And I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one who thinks that. Do whatever you like, pal. While it's good to have some follows and keep those numbers up, but you should focus on doing what you want to do and makes you happy first. I'm sure most of us will like it anyway.
Alex64 i wanted to say that I and many others will stand behind him regardless of the content he creates. I want him to succeed, but what I want the most is that my favourite creator feels comfortable with the content he creates.
@@simonkiemer113 Ah, well that makes sense cause what i thought when you said the first comment was basically saying that you were just messing around with him by hatting on him.
Hey Scott, i don’t know if you’ll read this, but I wanted to say that you making these types of videos really helped me a lot, and may help more people than you think. Last year’s ScottFalco with a side of salt really impacted me. Hearing you talking about the things you don’t like about yourself, but then using them to bounce off of and reflect on yourself encourages me to do the same. These videos have also helped me be more confident in my art, and helped me realize that as long as I enjoy making something, it’s okay to put it out there in the hope that someone enjoys it too. I hope you continue to make what you love making, as it inspires me to do the same. Thank you for what you do, Scott, and I hope you have a wonderful 2020.
Scott, I love your style of animation and I took inspirations from you and other animators like Jeremy, Twisted Grim, HBruna! I'm from Brazil... I got depression because of some "failures" (that I thought as a failure but it is only the algorith of RUclips screwing me!) I had luck and a bigger channel named "5algumacoisa" hired me and I could keep working with animation! unfortunately the numbers messes up with our minds. and I watched your video about anxiety of artists..makes me feel a little more confortable with my "failures" I love make stuff and I hope that I could keep doing! Thanks for your hard work! if you could keep with it...will be wonderful! (sorry if my english is bad...I had a course for 2 years but I don't know if the accuracy what I say is 100% right. but I tried!) A Huge Hug bro!! good luck!
Man it's sad that he might see 2019 as regressing when it was filled with such great videos this channel is the only channel I look forward to seeing a new video from
No he is right, he was lucky that Zelda became a huge topic at that time. Nothing wrong with it at all, but RUclips means you need to be lucky or trendy and we all know Scott is the farthest thing from trendy. His self-awareness is refreshing, and we all should be so brave to see our flaws and lucky enough to see where we were blessed.
Sadly he is right, even if you make one of the most entertaining videos on the internet, something else stupid like a dog on its hind legs would probably trend faster. It's the sad truth, but it's just another hurdle we need to jump over.
I mean, it was lucky, but he also earned it. The Wind Waker video was hilarious and he worked very hard on it. Honestly every time a new Totally Legit comes out I’m super excited.
@@CombatSportsNerd You misunderstand, I am in no way denouncing the work he put into those videos, but with RUclips's algorithm being what it is it was pure luck that his Totally Legit series blew up like it did, and Scott acknowledges that. The reason his other videos were "failures" as he put it was because RUclips didn't recommend them like they did TL Wind Waker. I was merely stating the cold fact that Scott was unfortunately right...he was lucky.
Hearing how you really feel in these kind of videos really just makes me see you in a better light. Unlike some, you have the guts to say how you feel and that makes you even better than the others who can't. You've been one of my favorite RUclipsrs/animators for so long and I can't wait to see more from you and I hope you get to 1 million soon. You deserve it.
I actually really love this video. Self reflection and self awareness? A recollection of your growth? This is actually really good. Thank you, good sir.
Hey there friend... I know- you've been having some troubles lately... But, I need to to be the person I know you could be... Don't leave anything up to chance... I believe in you pal- we *_all_* believe in you... You're a winner kiddo, and don't you ever forget it.
I think everyone should be able to speak to themselves in this way. Learning is progression, and accepting your personal flaws is a massive step to overcoming them
As a guy in his twenties, 2019 was the year I discovered the idea of mental health and self-care in the “field” for lack of a better term. As an attempted military dude and the generic “boys don’t cry” person, I really struggled with feelings. I now go to therapy, and am going to try and pick up acting and drama to articulate certain feelings. I know I’m just posting personal shit on a completely unrelated medium, but this video spoke to me so truly. I obviously cannot relate on an intimate level, but I understand the broad strokes of what you said very deeply. And I now love to talk about it myself and feel the want, need and desire to post comments like this. There is now nothing I love more than seeing person growth. It is literally my favorite thing in the world. And this video is exactly that. Finding love and passion in what you do, and the ability to properly convey emotions is so ridiculously important. Thank you for making this. So fucking much. Also, literally every totally legit speed run is side splitting humor, imo. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You make fucking amazing shit. You brought me so much light, relief and humor in a relatively dark year. Before I watched this, I loved ScottFalco, the RUclips Channel. But 13 minutes later, I respect the fuck out of Scott Falco, the person. And love him a lot too. God. Fucking. Bless. My dood. Keep on keeping on. I’ll leave you with my personal favorite quote. Wake up every day, as if it were on purpose.
Been subbed for 3 years and that’s not changing. Your work is some of my favorite throughout all the different series. Make what you want and I’ll watch.
“Gotta have opposites, light and dark and dark and light, in painting. It’s like in life. Gotta have a little sadness once in awhile so you know when the good times come. I'm waiting on the good times now.” sometimes need someone to look up too, but you have to believe that they don’t look down on you. You made it through a dark year. people came and let you know that you no longer only look up to others, but others look up to you. And that is one of the reasons these videos are so impactful. These people that look up to you can be sure that you don’t look down on them, that you support them and that you went through the same thing, which I think is extremely considerate. You got this!
"Inside the brain of Scott Falco 2019" ftfy Glad your outlook has changed. Your worth is so much more than you realize. You've made people laugh and you've connected people. Your panel was a testament to that. Take your 2019 with a grain of salt, instead of a side of salt, because through hardship, as you said, you got stronger. We are just human. We have times where we fall and it's hard to get back up. I know I speak for a good portion of the community when I say, we are here through the trips and falls, and will always be here for you.
This mans channel has made me get through hard times because he made content that both inspired me and made me feel happy, so I'm with you man Scott Falcon will always be a amazing person
*“A delayed game is eventually good while a rushed game is always bad”* *-Shigeru Miyamoto* *Dear ScottFalco,* I’m sorry I’m late but I have to apologize if my comment on the “Totally Legit Pokémon Go” video caused you to feel rushed and upset about holding the video back. We all care for your well being and want you feeling well. You’re a truly wonderful individual and we all want you to make animations because you want to yourself and not at our requests. Don’t stress yourself out man. Us as your fans don’t want you to feel pushed and pressured to create a rushed product. Take your time and out will blosssom something beautiful. Listen to your heart, and it will speak back. This quote can be applied to this or anything else in life. Be yourself and we will truly love you for it. Don’t beat yourself up for not cranking out videos every week on RUclips. You’re a great RUclipsr and I hope that the next decade will prove to be one of success and happiness not just for your channel but for yourself. - *Sincerely, a fellow fan.*
Goddamn, this is something I wasn't expecting. I honestly did forget that there is a person behind ScottFalco. Hope you end up feeling better this new year, and the new decade.
This might be unseen anyway, here we go. I literally just found you, your art is great , your honesty is inspiring, your humor is new and lovely. No human is perfect ,this probably sounds cliche, all the flaws a person could have are either beautiful and makes them human or even may give them motivation to go on...rather than weigh them down...No one is compelled to satisfy the picture of those around them, if people keep this attitude up probably everyone would become the same or they won't stop complaining anyways....there is a saying that says :chasing people's satisfaction is a goal that can't be reached...sorry if this made sound in anyway rude or something like that.
2019 was my favorite stuff you've done. I get that you're scared to lose people. But honestly I've been wanting to see the original stuff you've been wanting to work on. I hope to see it in 2020! The ones that actually care will stick with you. We love your stuff
I honestly liked all the new content this year, totally legit speedrun and side of smash and everything that was new. It was original and so entertaining to watch. Don’t bash yourself too much man, you’re a great creator and the introspective look is amazing and interesting to watch :)
I never understood the "you made a thing i dont like, unsub" thing. that being said, i dont know when youtube unsubbed me, because i like your content.
Personally, I loved your 2019 content. It had been a while since I've been able to sit down and watch most videos, so when I finally came upon your channel again I was so psyched to see how much you've grown as a creator! Sure, you're still learning, everyone is after all. I can't wait to see how much you grow in 2020. Here's to a new decade, and here's to hopefully learning to produce what makes YOU happy
Yet another year. Congrats. You did something good with your life. Be happy. You are worth it. We all love what you do, and though not all of us show it, we love it, and appreciate everything you do, so don’t be ashamed, and be happy you did so much and made so many laugh, or even just smile. -A random ScottFalco fan on the internet
You've been a big inspiration for me. I love the side of salt series. Your animations are officially an important part of my day, week, year, life. Thanks for everything. Stay positive!
It's hard to ignore the small stuff that stings. I too want to make everyone happy, and it's unfortunate that that's unachievable. Just do the best you can to be yourself. Progress, not perfection.
Brutal honesty like this is something I thrive in, especially via self reflection. Saw your Wind Waker video initially and started viewing a few of your other videos until eventually I lost interest. This video however reminds me of alot of what I myself have been going thru these last 5 years. ( The progression of personal self, being around people that aren't the best to be around, figuring yourself out, immense depression ect. Not anything to do with being a animator. I can't really relate to that. ) Thank you for the video Scott. I don't like to post comments unless I have something meaningful or passionate to say. I hope 2020 is a better year for you. And you've got me interested in watching this year play out for you. So in short, Subscribed.
Scott anyone who cant wait is most likely 10 years old most people who can wait can be loyal fans but remember the real fans will stay and wait and will not leave your a great animator who deserves more respect so dont feel bad on numbers I know your videos are great
I know you’re having a hard time Scott...but most of these guys in the comments are here to support you man. I loved all your content and have been subscribed since 2017. Do what you need to do man. Have a nice day!
I wish I got to meet him I bet he was a awesome guy. If I would have met him I was going to cry because I final got to meet the man of many who gave me inspiration.
Mario1upboy it was one of the funniest things because he was signing next to this famous fashion RUclipsr and looked so nervous. His autograph was just print “Scott Falco”
I'm crying because this hit way too close to home. 2019 sucked for me too, massively. But like you, I'm working on myself and also have hope for the future. I need to focus on other people's validation less, and with the exception of a couple of moments of weakness, I've achieved that thus far. You're truly inspiring, I've been a fan for a few years, ever since your scribblenauts vid . Keep doing what you can for yourself, and stay strong
I would honestly LOVE to see where you take Sig and Tessa And I remember the “I’m gunna make them cry, and it’s all majoras masks fault” I want to see what you do with them, can’t wait brother.
The moment you said "a child with a stolen avatar" I realized that you have worked to earn your "face" as your icon. You have worked hard to try and please us, which those who are loyal appreciate, but those who are loyal will love it more when you do what you like. I enjoyed your Sonic racer video and due to that found a fun game and some hilarious videos because of it. Don't be afraid to talk about uncommon or hated games and show how you might have enjoyed it. I haven't earned an icon, which sounds preachy or philosophical, but I don't feel deserving of drawing myself or hiring someone to draw some random squirrel. Know that your work has been some of the best I've seen all year and I come back o your videos all the time Edit1: having watch hundreds of people over the years, I've seen trend come and go. Very few manage to survive after their main source of veiwers is gone. It's hard to say but you were one of those too. But yet I look up to you. Your funny animations constantly just get me smiling at a clever detail or just funny joke. Those who are big on RUclips, I don't look up too. Those who have small followings and communities who care about the one behind the video matter more to me because of that. I care about you and would happily meet you in person given the chance. Not because of Fame or some crap. Because you just sound like a friend I would hang out with Edit2: I commented in the middle of the video, jumping to conclusions. I make mistakes yet it can help me. I am an awkward highschool teenager, wanting a dream so big that it hurts me. Watching you, or other unnamed creators, or just my friends just fail to make a video has brought me so much joy. Make what you want, and this IS very selfish to say, but please make something that make others just feel good. Not in the sense to make more views or viewers, but to connect with those who already watch you daily Edit3: this is for me now. I made this so long because I hope that being this long will get me a like or a comment from you. I tell myself it's because I want to share my "love", or some shit just so I can feel better about myself. I want to be a youtuber but I can't imagine the weight it might carry. I wish I could be a friend, or someone to give a good hug or just a high five too if that can help. I wish I could draw or edit so I can help with your videos and health as a bonus. I wish I can help others so much that I want to be a youtuber
I'm so fucking invested in seeing the day Scott uploads a video saying "I'm pretty happy with myself and what I've made." it's insane. I can't sit through a 2 minute video on how to not destroy a recipe, but I sit through each of these recaps.
Scott, i've been watching you for years now, and i've seen you struggle with your content, with depression, anxiety, and a whole host of other issues. We love you, and love your content. You don't need to worry.
God...that was beautiful. This video is such a showcase of humans most beautiful trait. the ability to realize our wrongs and to better ourselves, the ability to see what we lack and be honest with our selves. 2019 hasn't been the best for me either scott but I've really tried to improve myself and seeing your raw honesty made me tear up. its moments like these that remind me the about the true good in humans, no matter how bad we mess up we can live up to those failures and continue to grow.
"Work on being in love with the person in the mirror who has been through so much, but is still standing." Scott, while I've never had the chance to meet you, I have followed you for a long time, through good and bad, and I haven't forgotten one bit that you're still a human behind a screen... heck, as someone else with anxieties, I can honestly say that I know a few of those feelings you have.... but remember that anxieties aren't defining factors in how you should look at anything, they either a lens of how to look at something, a warning sign, or, most commonly: utter fabrications due to, as you said, how we perceive ourselves against others in our fields of specialty. That being said; I remain a follower of your work because you have your own insights and feelings, and anybody who says that you are copying another person or group of people are, in fact, more hypocritical than you: we live in an age where almost every form of media has been done; from cartoons, to reviews (to more focus the list on what you have been making)... it's extremely difficult to have a media genre that is entirely new... so best advice is to work with what is available, and, again; as you said in the video: "don't let 1 bad comment ruin 100 good ones." tl;dr: Above is a lot of words to say "don't stop being who you are and want to be."
Just an addendum: thank you all for the likes, I'm operating on the assumption that all of them means someone who feels the same for Scott and it means a lot knowing I'm not the only one who has the same thoughts about this.
"You wanna be the person that they think you are" - waiiiiit just a second here... You do you, Scott. Don't try too hard to be someone else. You did get a good understanding of what's going on and what needs to happen (numbers... urgh). However, don't push yourself in the wrong direction that won't bring you happiness. Because in the long run of your life, you should strive for happiness, even if that won't bring out the greatest of numbers every time. You got a lot of attention with the totally legits, and several people sticking around for the content you mostly create, even your streams. Not to mention all the people that stuck with you already before that time, so be proud of what you accomplished sometimes :)
I always feel bad about how much Scott talks down to himself and how little self worth here has. I fucking love this dude, and I know where he is emotionally, because I think about myself the same way he talks about himself. Look dude, you just gotta think about you and your following. If something isn't up to your standards don't worry about it, cause I'm sure it's above ours. Very few of us have the talent you show, and if you see this just know we're here to enjoy what you make, no matter what! Have a great year, here's to 2020 let's make this the best year.
Scott Falco nitpicks himself the entire year of 2019. I mean, self awareness is one thing, but if you just have it to pick yourself apart it’s a bit of a self destructive mess. I’m not a therapist and I don’t intend to be. All I know is that from what I see, you don’t seem all that terrible. Hell, your “Scott Falco salt” vid inspired me to be better than myself. I respected you more because of it. I hope you can find a work balance that... works really. And I hope you learn to appreciate yourself more. Don’t worry about getting narcissistic or whatever because they have low self worth in the first place. I can sit here and prattle on with all of the self help platitudes out there, but all I’ll say is that you’re worth it. Keep up the great work.
Scott, I really loved all of your 2019 content. I found myself excited whenever you posted a new video. Please Scott, don’t let other people get you down, have fun this 2020.
Honestly, never stop doing these videos, they give myself, for one, a sense of closeness( it makes you feel more like a person and less like a "channel"). And it also brings me comfort as a person with anxiety. Thank You.
"Pokémon's not for my age group anymore." True, but neither is Mario and I will always love playing those. EDIT: This is not a bash, Scott. I love your videos and I can't wait to see what you make in 2020.
You're one of my favorite content creators because you're so caring (anxious or not) and down to earth. Especially since you only wanna make people laugh and make them happy. We need more people like you Scott
It's amazing to see a content creator be self aware and be able to analyze themselves. I truly respect people that are able to be critical of themselves for the sake of growth. I hope people can appreciate everything you do and have done. I know I do. Thank you.
Dammit Scott, I come here for funny and interesting breakdowns of various nerdy/geeky topics, not to be sad. That being said, the fact that you can make me feel like that is a testament to your skill with writing. You’re wayyy too hard on yourself, I honestly can’t recall the last time I didn’t enjoy a video you made. Your videos are well put together, flow nicely between visuals and audio, make me laugh and teach me things I never would have learned. How many other channels do you think can do that? It’s not many. Experimenting with your content is a good thing, if the numbers decline look for what may have caused it from an audience’s perspective, not a creator’s. Was the humor off? Were the visuals lacking? Did your pronunciation sound strange? Notice these things but don’t think “If I fuck this up even slightly, it’s over.”, we don’t care overly much about that, it’s like a nice dessert after a delicious dinner, it’s great to have, but doesn’t really matter. I love your work, I hope you do as well. Chill the fuck out, stop worrying about “will this make my numbers increase?”, we’re here for you, what you are and what you bring. We really don’t give a shit about the actual topics for the most part, we care about your approach to them. Hopefully, you enjoy 2020 and relax a bit about perception. Love you.
Honestly as an animator with similar Hope's and fears you're definantly an inspiration. You're not fake and you actively try to improve yourself. I hope you're feeling alright and hopefully things get better in 2020

This year, I too have been consistently struggling with numbers, the performances of my videos, comparing myself to others, and creating content that I think will do well not necessarily what I wanted for the same reasons you listed and it killed me. Thank you for making this video. Thank you for speaking out. I felt as if you were talking directly to me. I, too, am looking forward to 2020 for myself and for your content! Good luck Scott! Can't wait for the MM animation!

"The shortest path is the detour." This is an important lesson to always remember, Scott. Don't try to rush for success, and don't worry about trying new things. Life is full of ups and downs, but as long as you keep getting back up after every hardship, you'll eventually reach the top.

Scott being so open about this kind of stuff, despite his fears insecurities, is really inspiring.

I got depression because of some "failures" (that I thought as a failure but it is only the algorith of RUclips screwing me!)
I had luck and a bigger channel named "5algumacoisa" hired me and I could keep working with animation!
unfortunately the numbers messes up with our minds. and I watched your video about anxiety of artists..makes me feel a little more confortable with my "failures" I love make stuff and I hope that I could keep doing!

Man it's sad that he might see 2019 as regressing when it was filled with such great videos this channel is the only channel I look forward to seeing a new video from
Dude the Legit Speedruns was your best choice for new content. They’re hilarious, don’t say you were just lucky, you earned it.
It's kinda sad how people feel like he didn't earn that win. Like damn at least acknowledge the work he put in
@@CombatSportsNerd You misunderstand, I am in no way denouncing the work he put into those videos, but with RUclips's algorithm being what it is it was pure luck that his Totally Legit series blew up like it did, and Scott acknowledges that.

2019 has been a year of learning hard lessons on the road to a better self. I hope your journey continues up for you too Scott!
“Gotta have opposites, light and dark and dark and light, in painting. It’s like in life. Gotta have a little sadness once in awhile so you know when the good times come. I'm waiting on the good times now.”
sometimes need someone to look up too, but you have to believe that they don’t look down on you.

Glad your outlook has changed. Your worth is so much more than you realize. You've made people laugh and you've connected people. Your panel was a testament to that. Take your 2019 with a grain of salt, instead of a side of salt, because through hardship, as you said, you got stronger.

I’m sorry I’m late but I have to apologize if my comment on the “Totally Legit Pokémon Go” video caused you to feel rushed and upset about holding the video back.
Is that a Dunkey reference.

I love it when Scott opens up about being a creator he's such an amazing guy and I hope he sees that as we go into 2020 and on
Scott I'm honestly impressed, most people would refuse to admit alot of the things you have to try and better yourself, good on ya!
I can't really relate to that. )
Thank you for the video Scott. I don't like to post comments unless I have something meaningful or passionate to say. I hope 2020 is a better year for you. And you've got me interested in watching this year play out for you.

Scott most of us love your 2019 content
Know that your work has been some of the best I've seen all year and I come back o your videos all the time
Edit1: having watch hundreds of people over the years, I've seen trend come and go. Because you just sound like a friend I would hang out with
Edit2: I commented in the middle of the video, jumping to conclusions. Not in the sense to make more views or viewers, but to connect with those who already watch you daily
Edit3: this is for me now.

Scott manages to talk about mental health without it EVER feeling like "wah wah woe is me, pity party"
Yes
Yeah
"Work on being in love with the person in the mirror who has been through so much, but is still standing."
Scott, while I've never had the chance to meet you, I have followed you for a long time, through good and bad, and I haven't forgotten one bit that you're still a human behind a screen... heck, as someone else with anxieties, I can honestly say that I know a few of those feelings you have.... but remember that anxieties aren't defining factors in how you should look at anything, they either a lens of how to look at something, a warning sign, or, most commonly: utter fabrications due to, as you said, how we perceive ourselves against others in our fields of specialty.
That being said; I remain a follower of your work because you have your own insights and feelings, and anybody who says that you are copying another person or group of people are, in fact, more hypocritical than you: we live in an age where almost every form of media has been done; from cartoons, to reviews (to more focus the list on what you have been making)... it's extremely difficult to have a media genre that is entirely new... so best advice is to work with what is available, and, again; as you said in the video: "don't let 1 bad comment ruin 100 good ones."
tl;dr: Above is a lot of words to say "don't stop being who you are and want to be."

Love you.
Sir Apple a-f*cking-men brother.
Honestly as an animator with similar Hope's and fears you're definantly an inspiration. You're not fake and you actively try to improve yourself. I hope you're feeling alright and hopefully things get better in 2020
“A drunk, dumb, potato”
Wait.... are you secretly Irish?
Yes you fool was it not obvious from the get go
Nah, he’s secretly Russian.
Nice. A s s
It’s good Scott can have a therapeutic episode every year
"Kid with a stolen art profile pic'' Me: oh sh** he knows
U know what that is at least better than u actually making it
@@hahaurdum9961 Hey I find that rude since my profile picture actually was just an edited picture I took way too long ago, dug up, and said, "You know what, that should be my profile picture."
@@faeire0 not you the other guy
Thank you for sharing. I went through something similar over the last few years. Feels good knowing I'm not alone.
