I feel like I’m the only one that still remembers the Pacific Rim tie-in game for the Xbox 360. To be fair, this never saw a physical release and was only available digitally on the Xbox Arcade storefront. It was also available on the Playstation 3 but I’ll only be talking about the Xbox version here. I was eleven when this game came out and I was addicted to it. At the time, I was equally as hooked on the movie this game is based on so it was a match made in heaven. The fact that you could create your own Jaeger as well as the combat being fun, I couldn’t stop playing. However, as time went on, I eventually moved on to other hyper-fixations and quickly forgot about this strange tie-in to “Pacific Rim”.

I think that this game had potential. Especially if it released at this age where feedback is a core part to games today.
I would like a Pacific Rim game today somewhat similar like this but much more vastly more improved and a story mode, so it feels like you have your own adventure but due to the reputation of Pacific Rim right now it won’t happen

i personally dislike the limitation of being a fighting game, having 2d movement

I know right? Gigabash is basically the new home to Godzilla and Ultraman when it comes to games. It absolutely could and should be that for pacific rim too.

9:40 this... is soo true, its soo damn true, the onyl Godzilla game we asked was a kaiju fighting game and we only got either card games, parqur games (hmhmhm roblox official legendary pictures game), or playing as a human instead of kaijus, even the game legendary is going to release is based around humans, we only see kaijus do 1 single attack when the level ends, like wth... godzilla save the earth was better than all these games combined and its not even close,
thank god modders are making a mod of godzilla save the earth i think, where they are going to add like alot of kaijus including the new interations one, minus one, legendary, heisei, can't wait for the mod

I remember seeing playthroughs of this back in the day. I thought it looked like the coolest thing ever, but I had no idea how to get it for myself (I didn't realize that it never had a physical release). I ended up just downloading the phone-app version, and (even though it was a cruddy app game) I actually had a lot of fun with it. Thanks for letting me know why I could never find a physical release of this game!
The Jaeger isn't controlled by two players, why even 😔

I always wanted to play this, but it feels like lost media, can't find it anywhere...
It’s delisted from digital storefronts so it’s unavailable for purchase legally. I was able to play this since my old Xbox 360 still had it downloaded. That being said, there are some ways to emulate it however! I would recommend looking at playing it that way.

I remember having the demo for this. Just having one jaeger and kaiju was enough for me and my brother to play against each other for hours
i watched this is as a kid but i didn't know everything was pay walled i wanted this game but didn't know where to get it
I remember playing this game back then, I got a couple kaiju character dlc and a couple dlc stages and that’s it. The micro transaction part of the game is what ruined it the most

Honestly the 1st override mech city brawl is the closest we'll probably get to an actually good pacific rim game it has the individual buttons for the limbs when it comes to fighting, a arcade mode where you can fight kaiju and ontop of that most maps have the ability to be destroyed by the players actions tho the second game despite the dlc is so stiff and lacking

Eh, I thought it was alright
I didn't like this one as a kid lol. I played it, bought some DLC, quickly got sick of it and went back to playing save the Earth.
Game definitely underdeveloped. And nowhere near as terrible as you made it out to be lol. And honestly? I am not even a BIG FAN of the game but from the sound of it as well, you seem to suck at playing it as well. The jeagers play very well with a lot of different unique set of moves and techniques. In fact? For its price, and underbudget aspects, VERY good game. You are definitely reaching now and got super spoilt by modern games materials. Also, how many other games out there that exist with giant mechs control by humans fighting GIANT monsters? Literally none. Same with movies. You really reached about this game lol.
