That's disappointing news about M3 not being available through the group finder. Personally, I believe they should give it a try and see how it goes. If it doesn't work well, they can always reconsider and stick to the other Mutations. I was really looking forward to experiencing M3 through the group finder
Im just excited that at some point my characters bugged journal will be getting worked on soon. Being able to do artifacts, seasonal quests, and finally being able to explore the expansion since paying for it, will be exciting. Heck i might not get nuked in opr so much if i can gear up.
Just remember there are some of us who never even got to experience the current content in the game since purchasing the expansion killed the ability to quest itself.😊
I mean they tried to temper your expectations. They said/implied heavily they'd have content at the end of the year with the new expansion, but nothing till then really besides a new raid and a new dungeon, some seasonal events and whatnot.

Part of the reason I believe AGS is not allowing it currently is due to the loot tables dropping better gear and more gold. To me M3 and War need organized groups or else your taking the challange out of them. I do understand the gate keeping for those peices of content. I just think if your going to remove the incetive to form groups without a group finder you should do it for all peices of content.

One thing is consistent in NW. They almost but not really give you the opportunity to get BIS gear, play end game content and so on. This just ads to the feeling of content that just dont make sense. Dont gives casual players clear direction when it comes to gear progression. The devs have a fundamental misunderstanding on what actually keeps players in the game and way they leave.
This game is ding dong deadzo, xpac failed to bring in the numbers, the roadmap is empty, pvp abandoned, player counts have bottomed out, cross platform is the last big sales income before LOTR refocus and divestment/possibly shutting down. Anyone remember crucible?
It's not overly relevant to the metric, the ratio is simply gold generation to gold being deleted. But I take the point, less gold flowing can cause issue but I suspect they have a different metric for that.
I can see a case for excluding M3s since they are what leaderboards are based on. Otherwise, premade groups could coordinate their queue timing to get the bonus damage and gain advantage on the leaderboard attempts. For the abandon penalty, I think this is very good to help reduce queue times overall. If players dodge groups immediately without a queue penalty, you get a ton of churn on matchmaking and it's a bad time.
They seam to think that Cross-server expeditions should function as a tool for casual expedition enthusiasts, while M3 is considered the arena for hardcore players aiming for high performance and fast clears. The belief is that these two distinct player groups should not be grouped together in the same expedition queue, as it becomes challenging to anticipate whether the group you join will align with your preferences. For seasoned expedition enthusiasts who prefer a hardcore approach, joining an inexperienced group of casual players could result in a frustrating experience. On the other hand, inexperienced players may find themselves among hardcore players expecting advanced skills and experience in expedition clears, which they might not possess yet. I wish you could create cross-server M3 expedition groups that players from other servers could join (Not Auto-Join). So that M3 could benefit from the cross-server player pool.
I just want old bugs fixed and a new opr map, sadly this is just not happening anytime soon. The devs are just to slow and this game should have been in beta for the first 2 years.
I'm glad they're not putting group finder for m3's, they put a deserter penalty...imagine having me deciding to do a group finder just because im bored and then get into a group that doesnt even know how to make a proper build for their role for m3s..spending like 3x the amount of time it should take to clear a dungeon aint it maybe in the future we can see how it goes with reg-m2's..but m3's we'll see..not that im having issues getting into groups for m3's it probably wouldnt be ideal

I stuck around for a bit, but GuildWars2 I was dabbling in and after the post xpac nerfs where they basically made all the gold spent on new armor and weapons worthless I really leaned into the game and found it's way better than wow in every way, and the PVP modes, maps, etc blow wow, NW, FFXIV, ESO completely out of the water. WvW is basically OPR + influence race on steroids across 5 expansive maps. We literally run the map for 2.5 hours capping forts, fighting battles, defending forts, fighting more battles, while also they put in rewards that make up for the time you're doing pvp vs. pve so you get materials for your legendary gear from PVP. You can level in PVP maps too.
Majority of the player base aren’t capable to do M3s making it random queue would make it so bad. Plus if you had buffs wouldn’t be fair for leaderboards.

Typical AGS. I would bet no M3s because of leaderboards... and they just blocked M3s because they have no path to exclude the GF pugs from the leaderboards yet. Totall an AGS move.
Depends what you define as dead. Yes, less players than most MMOs in total, but only need one full world to enjoy and it’s a blast. PVP is just on another level compared to other mmos

For example Ruin scape has like 3x the amount of people as new world but I would never play that game for how bad it looks. Everyone has their opinion but judging a game off of numbers it will just make you look dumb ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The main reason as to why they are not doing it for m3s is because the amount of rage quits mid expedition would be crazy since all these "elitists" whos gatekeeping current players with "link gear" type of stuff not always have a 5 man group and they will be the ones ragequiting when paired with not so experienced players after couple of wipes. On the other hand i think group finder will be a disaster anyway people trolling and things like that.
You can *EASILY* switch this take. Do you know how many completely incapable players will sign up and ruin M3 runs for others? Even with gear linking this happens..imagine with NO real filter? Being too bad to play the mode isn't being gatekept.
