Just as he said, you have no idea what you are talking about. What does iPhone just WORK mean? S24 ultra is better than the iPhone in every respect except for night time video and photography. Use both, and then you will be in a better position to know which is better instead of being an isheep or fandroid. We do ourselves no favours when we become blind followers of these 2 giants.
What I hate with iOS is you can only swipe from the left side of the screen (I am right handed) and at times, I have to tap on certain options at the very top to go back further. And that this differs depending on what app I am using. Just got my S24U violet yesterday and it is just dope.
Oh the horrors! Can’t put icons where you want, that’s just the worst thing in the world! I just long to sit on my ass all day, endlessly moving icons around on a smartphone.

@@jmr1980 this phone is a beast. You'll love it. I had a screen protector but hated it. I had the Spigen EZ. Fingerprint is slow and all the glare is back. I'm just not using one now. About a week in with zero.. absolutely zero scratches. I know that won't last forever but the anti glare is so worth it. I know Samsung has a proprietary protector but I'm good. I do rock a case tho. Hmu for any other questions!

Just watch from the sideline for a bit. If the ecosystem aspects of samsung become better in the future or it becomes even more to your liking, i suggest giving it a shot. You can always return the phone later. I love my s22u, but im looking to go to iphone just to try it again next time i need a phone.

I have been using Galaxy phone up to Galaxy 5 before switching to iPhone, and what keeps me from switching back is that my photos are on iCloud and my family has iPhones, so it makes it much simpler to share things together. Apple really needs to step up.
If I were to switch, the Samsung Galaxy 24 Ultra would be my choice. However, I'm eyes deep in the Apple eco system and products. I would go broke switching brands. I currently own iPhone 14 Pro Max, M1 Mac Mini, 11" iPad Pro M1, Gen6 iPad Mini, 3-Apple TV 4Ks, 6-HomePod minis, 2-Gen1 HomePods, Apple Watch S7 SS and a Apple Watch Ultra G1. Not to mention all of the home tech running on Apple Home. Yes, I'm an Apple fanboy, but glad that Samsung pushes the envelope as it pushes Apple to do the same.....eventually.

Stay with Apple. I did the switch and already regretting it. The S24U on its own is an incredible device. But in the couple of days of using the galaxy watch, buds2pro and tab s9 I had several irritating hickups in the connectivity of the devices. I am used of the flawless interaction with all my Apple devices and Samsung failed on that one.
I’m using the S24U and 15PM side by side. both are very good. However, I continually find myself doing things on my Ultra that I wish my ProMax could do. Btw - rocking the Pikata on both - not cheap but a great case!
I went back and forth between iOS and android for a while but the last android I had was the Note 7 that ended up being recalled. I didn’t like the curved screens of recent years but this new S24 Ultra with a flat screen had me thinking about switching again. Only problem is that I love my Apple Watch and I’ve spent so much on music and movies through Apple and I don’t know if those transfer over to an android device. Also don’t know how the galaxy buds work compared to AirPods. The desire to switch is there, but the feeling of being stuck where I’m at is very real.
Apple did a darn good job with trapping people in their ecosystem. That being said, it's really not that hard to switch (even regarding watches), and in the future, NEVER buy anything that you can't access from any device. Apple preys on people's complacency to just default to buying things on Apple services.
I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and it feels exactly like the iPhone 13 Pro Max which felt a lot like my iPhone X. I was in the same boat. I was thinking which color would be the best. In person most of the other colors look a bit weird and clashes with the frame. The only other one that looked interesting was the violet color: it had a black look in certain lighting and deep purple in others. At the end I just preordered the grey.
Back in 2019 it was a religious experience for me to switch over to Samsung S9 from an Iphone. Mainly due to the versatile features and desktop experience that came with S9.
I use 2 phones. One work phone, one personal phone. One is an android and the other an iPhone. I prefer my android. It has better simple features you'd expect the iPhone to have. Little things like bringing up a contact from the dial keypad or using a split or floating screen make a lot of difference for me. There are more examples. Android is easier to use in my opinion. But I'll agree that the iPhone has a better camera.
you're correct on Apple innovation speed, Apple has short change it users so long, some don't recognize better innovation and products when it presents itself, i was tired of hoping year after year would be better, i wanted more than a camera and processor upgrade, i went to Samsung and haven't look back.

How is it for eye strain? I had to return the s23 ultra because it hurt my eyes. The 14 pro max I currently use is fine for my eyes so I'm hoping the s24 ultra will be better on my eyes as I will be switching to that phone.

I loved it Most of the time and never felt the need to upgrade singe every new iPhone felt like the exact same as mine. I use the 10x very frequently and believe it's one of the best Samsung features. It's useful in so many ways like checking whether the bus stop I'm going to is the right bus stop or not by zooming to the bus stop sign, checking deals infront of kfc or McDonald's from far away to see if there's something worth checking out and especially during my Classes I need it to see stuff on the board like when the professor's handwriting is bad gotta zoom extra to check tf they be writing.
Valid points for Samsung (Or possibly Android in general), being screens and cameras might be better on phones other than IPhone. Personalisation is so much better on Android. Completely agree that IPhones can be boring with the same design year in year out. Personally, I love the S pen, but would it be a bit of a gimmick after time? Despite the positives for Android phones, I’m just too far into the ecosystem to change, call me daft, but it just makes sense for me to stick. We’re all different, we all go for what we like…that being said, Patrick, it’s disappointing you’ve gone to the Dark side(!)😂

I still always use my S-Pen as a remote camera shutter or for quickly solving some equations when I don't have a piece of paper on me. My recommendation for cases to try are the magsafe mous (I like the black leather), magbak (what I order for my 24 ultra), and Dbrands magsafe case (2nd place of these 3).

Personally don’t get how people get so worked up over a phone whether you like apple or Samsung - I’ve decided to change from Apple to Samsung to try the Ultra S24 - no that doesn’t mean I’m changed for life - just means I want to try something different to what I have now
I use the 10X zoom (and beyond). I live in Central Florida, and it's useful for taking photos of space launches. Also when I go on trips, I enjoy using the zoom to identify off-shore cruise ships. (The shots don't have to be crazy clear, but I need to read them. The 5X just can't do this ...). I don't understand how Samsung had a great differentiator here with the 10X, and just gave it away. The 5X on the S24 actually helps between 5X and 9X, but it leaves those of us that frequently go beyond that in the dust. It's a major reason why I decided to skip the S24U.
If you already have the 23 Ultra, then there is no real need to upgrade to the s23 Ultra! The big difference in the s24 ultra is the AI features, which will be added to the s23 Ultra via a software update down the road!
I love the Samsung phones but my biggest issue is ecosystem. I’m too interlinked with Apple. Quite annoying That said I personally find most smartphones pretty dull these days. Plan to keep my iPhone 13 until the battery becomes too bad or until there’s a problem
My S23 ultra just got shipped today to get fixed. Acquired a very loud noticable rattle from my 10x optical lens. Could not even slightly move my phone without a rattle. All you could hear during video was rattling. Now I am stuck with an old LG K30 or something that's garbage for the next 5 days.
Depends what you want, iPhone's stay smooth and fluid. Samsung might be better brand new but they don't age as well, they become laggy and glitchy. Going from the Galaxy S8+ to the 11 pro max was a huge upgrade. (Had the 11 for over 4 years)
I daily drive an iPhone 15 Pro, but always have an Android phone of some type just so I can keep up with what's going on over there. Currently a Pixel 8, though I did have a Z Flip 5 for a while. I feel like innovation has slowed on both sides, but that's not a bad thing! Tons of innovation usually means an immature and unstable platform, and iOS and Android are both past that phase. Most of the innovation now is modest year-over-year improvements (faster, better screens, etc) and that's fine with me. Even flip phones are starting to feel like old tech (so maybe Apple will finally make one? hehe)

The iphone 15 Pro Max actually has 2,000 nits of peak brightness, not 2,500. You said that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has 2,600 nits of peak brightness which is "100" nits more than the iPhone, but really its 600 nits more.

Until he makes this video, I can suggest the following… I’ve had a Samsung since 2020, and I have an iPad and a Mac. I still haven’t gone back to iPhone, and I’m more excited to upgrade to the S24 ultra as I’m pretty comfortable with the Android phone system by now. Plus I love the refined industrial design. When you also have Apple devices, my suggestion is to stay in the Apple ecosystem… mostly… with the addition of Google and third party apps - think of it as a super-ecosystem. On your iPad, back up Apple photos to google photos in settings. On your iPad, add Google calendar to your Apple calendar in settings. Start transitioning to a third party email like Gmail, outlook or other 3rd parties if you aren’t already using. While on your Apple devices, start using a third party password manager, so you’re ready to transition to your new Samsung phone. Keep using your favourite Apple apps on your iPad and Mac, but it will create less tension if you start using a third party notes app you can use on any device - like Notion, Obsidian, OneNote, Keep, etc. So the above allows you to bring up all of your years of iPhone photos and videos up on a Samsung phone via Google photos. Any new photos, video, screen captures you take on a Samsung, can be brought up on your iPad via Google photos, of which you can Save To Device. By syncing Apple calendar to Google calendar, any entry made on Apple calendar will automatically show up on Google calendar… but also every entry I make on Google calendar on my Samsung phone automatically shows up on Apple calendar. Google calendar has the addition of Tasks within the calendar app, which replaced Reminders entirely for me. Remove notifications from Samsung calendar and hide in a Samsung app folder with other useless Samsung apps (Apple has the same issue of useless apps😂). Back up a Samsung phone to Google Drive (or OneDrive) or Other, and also add your drive of choice to your Mac and iPad. I mainly use iCloud, but also a secondary drive on my Mac, which you can drag and drop between drives to get what data you need on whatever device. But mostly, transition to third party apps on all of your devices will be your friend; but don’t worry if you still prefer specific Apple or Samsung apps on particular Apple or Samsung devices because I find my needs for my phone different to my needs for my iPad… in some cases.

I received my brand new S24Ultra directly from samsung yesterday, and immediately after using it i noticed that the screen colors are super washed out in comparison with my S23Ultra, the screen contrast on the new phone is pathetic and in order to match the same screen brightness on my S23U with slider only half the way, on the S24U i have to crank it all the way up! And everything with the exact same display settings selected. I'm repacking my new S24U and back to samung it goes. And this is not an isolated case, all of the internet is flooding with the same complaint, reddit, even the samsung memeber's forums. These youtubers have to talk about it for the sake of tranparency and their own credibility!
I’ll have to admit, the dealbreaker for me for the ultra would be the boxy sharp corners. I just can’t stand squared phones. They are uncomfortable to hold, and even less comfortable when in a front pocket. I would have to choose the S24+ over the ultra for this reason alone.
In college I had the note series. Man that pen comes in handy ! I was able to write on documents, highlight notes, take notes. But now the iPad have a pen and does all of that.

I’m using the S24U and 15PM side by side. both are very good. However, I continually find myself doing things on my Ultra that I wish my ProMax could do. Btw - rocking the Pikata on both - not cheap but a great case!
I went back and forth between iOS and android for a while but the last android I had was the Note 7 that ended up being recalled. I didn’t like the curved screens of recent years but this new S24 Ultra with a flat screen had me thinking about switching again. Only problem is that I love my Apple Watch and I’ve spent so much on music and movies through Apple and I don’t know if those transfer over to an android device. Also don’t know how the galaxy buds work compared to AirPods.
The desire to switch is there, but the feeling of being stuck where I’m at is very real.
Apple did a darn good job with trapping people in their ecosystem. That being said, it's really not that hard to switch (even regarding watches), and in the future, NEVER buy anything that you can't access from any device. Apple preys on people's complacency to just default to buying things on Apple services.
On android side one of the best option is samsung brand if not the best android brand but I think it is at least for me.
I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and it feels exactly like the iPhone 13 Pro Max which felt a lot like my iPhone X. It just is so shameful that Apple doesn’t innovate and I’m seriously considering leaving the ecosystem as I’m bored to tears with my iPhone they keep selling us the same thing over and over again And I think that brand like Samsung and Google deserve a shot. @samsung @google

I was in the same boat. I was thinking which color would be the best. In person most of the other colors look a bit weird and clashes with the frame. The only other one that looked interesting was the violet color: it had a black look in certain lighting and deep purple in others. At the end I just preordered the grey.

Back in 2019 it was a religious experience for me to switch over to Samsung S9 from an Iphone.
Mainly due to the versatile features and desktop experience that came with S9.
The S9 is still the best recent Samsung phone... I miss my S9+ so much
I use 2 phones. One work phone, one personal phone. One is an android and the other an iPhone. I prefer my android. It has better simple features you'd expect the iPhone to have. Little things like bringing up a contact from the dial keypad or using a split or floating screen make a lot of difference for me. There are more examples. Android is easier to use in my opinion. But I'll agree that the iPhone has a better camera.
You cleaned the iPhone camera lenses and camera island from debris and lint, 10/10 for attention to details.

you're correct on Apple innovation speed, Apple has short change it users so long, some don't recognize better innovation and products when it presents itself, i was tired of hoping year after year would be better, i wanted more than a camera and processor upgrade, i went to Samsung and haven't look back.

How is it for eye strain? I had to return the s23 ultra because it hurt my eyes. The 14 pro max I currently use is fine for my eyes so I'm hoping the s24 ultra will be better on my eyes as I will be switching to that phone.

I loved it Most of the time and never felt the need to upgrade singe every new iPhone felt like the exact same as mine. I use the 10x very frequently and believe it's one of the best Samsung features. It's useful in so many ways like checking whether the bus stop I'm going to is the right bus stop or not by zooming to the bus stop sign, checking deals infront of kfc or McDonald's from far away to see if there's something worth checking out and especially during my Classes I need it to see stuff on the board like when the professor's handwriting is bad gotta zoom extra to check tf they be writing.

The Samsung keyboard's writing styles are a valuable feature that I find very beneficial. This feature alone justifies the switch.
Valid points for Samsung (Or possibly Android in general), being screens and cameras might be better on phones other than IPhone. Personalisation is so much better on Android. Completely agree that IPhones can be boring with the same design year in year out. Personally, I love the S pen, but would it be a bit of a gimmick after time? Despite the positives for Android phones, I’m just too far into the ecosystem to change, call me daft, but it just makes sense for me to stick.

If it's not a gimmick at the start, it won't be a gimmick after some time. I still always use my S-Pen as a remote camera shutter or for quickly solving some equations when I don't have a piece of paper on me.

My recommendation for cases to try are the magsafe mous (I like the black leather), magbak (what I order for my 24 ultra), and Dbrands magsafe case (2nd place of these 3).

I use the 10X zoom (and beyond). I live in Central Florida, and it's useful for taking photos of space launches. Also when I go on trips, I enjoy using the zoom to identify off-shore cruise ships. (The shots don't have to be crazy clear, but I need to read them. The 5X just can't do this ...). I don't understand how Samsung had a great differentiator here with the 10X, and just gave it away.
The 5X on the S24 actually helps between 5X and 9X, but it leaves those of us that frequently go beyond that in the dust. It's a major reason why I decided to skip the S24U.

If you already have the 23 Ultra, then there is no real need to upgrade to the s23 Ultra! The big difference in the s24 ultra is the AI features, which will be added to the s23 Ultra via a software update down the road!
I love the Samsung phones but my biggest issue is ecosystem. I’m too interlinked with Apple.

My S23 ultra just got shipped today to get fixed. Acquired a very loud noticable rattle from my 10x optical lens. Could not even slightly move my phone without a rattle. All you could hear during video was rattling. Now I am stuck with an old LG K30 or something that's garbage for the next 5 days.

Depends what you want, iPhone's stay smooth and fluid. Samsung might be better brand new but they don't age as well, they become laggy and glitchy. Going from the Galaxy S8+ to the 11 pro max was a huge upgrade. (Had the 11 for over 4 years)

I daily drive an iPhone 15 Pro, but always have an Android phone of some type just so I can keep up with what's going on over there. Currently a Pixel 8, though I did have a Z Flip 5 for a while. I feel like innovation has slowed on both sides, but that's not a bad thing! Tons of innovation usually means an immature and unstable platform, and iOS and Android are both past that phase. Most of the innovation now is modest year-over-year improvements (faster, better screens, etc) and that's fine with me. Even flip phones are starting to feel like old tech (so maybe Apple will finally make one? hehe)

The iphone 15 Pro Max actually has 2,000 nits of peak brightness, not 2,500. You said that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has 2,600 nits of peak brightness which is "100" nits more than the iPhone, but really its 600 nits more.

Until he makes this video, I can suggest the following… I’ve had a Samsung since 2020, and I have an iPad and a Mac. I still haven’t gone back to iPhone, and I’m more excited to upgrade to the S24 ultra as I’m pretty comfortable with the Android phone system by now. Plus I love the refined industrial design. When you also have Apple devices, my suggestion is to stay in the Apple ecosystem… mostly… with the addition of Google and third party apps - think of it as a super-ecosystem. On your iPad, back up Apple photos to google photos in settings. On your iPad, add Google calendar to your Apple calendar in settings. Start transitioning to a third party email like Gmail, outlook or other 3rd parties if you aren’t already using. While on your Apple devices, start using a third party password manager, so you’re ready to transition to your new Samsung phone. Keep using your favourite Apple apps on your iPad and Mac, but it will create less tension if you start using a third party notes app you can use on any device - like Notion, Obsidian, OneNote, Keep, etc.
So the above allows you to bring up all of your years of iPhone photos and videos up on a Samsung phone via Google photos. Any new photos, video, screen captures you take on a Samsung, can be brought up on your iPad via Google photos, of which you can Save To Device.
By syncing Apple calendar to Google calendar, any entry made on Apple calendar will automatically show up on Google calendar… but also every entry I make on Google calendar on my Samsung phone automatically shows up on Apple calendar. Google calendar has the addition of Tasks within the calendar app, which replaced Reminders entirely for me. Remove notifications from Samsung calendar and hide in a Samsung app folder with other useless Samsung apps (Apple has the same issue of useless apps😂).
Back up a Samsung phone to Google Drive (or OneDrive) or Other, and also add your drive of choice to your Mac and iPad. I mainly use iCloud, but also a secondary drive on my Mac, which you can drag and drop between drives to get what data you need on whatever device.
But mostly, transition to third party apps on all of your devices will be your friend; but don’t worry if you still prefer specific Apple or Samsung apps on particular Apple or Samsung devices because I find my needs for my phone different to my needs for my iPad… in some cases.

I received my brand new S24Ultra directly from samsung yesterday, and immediately after using it i noticed that the screen colors are super washed out in comparison with my S23Ultra, the screen contrast on the new phone is pathetic and in order to match the same screen brightness on my S23U with slider only half the way, on the S24U i have to crank it all the way up! And everything with the exact same display settings selected. I'm repacking my new S24U and back to samung it goes. And this is not an isolated case, all of the internet is flooding with the same complaint, reddit, even the samsung memeber's forums. These youtubers have to talk about it for the sake of tranparency and their own credibility!
I’ll have to admit, the dealbreaker for me for the ultra would be the boxy sharp corners. I just can’t stand squared phones. They are uncomfortable to hold, and even less comfortable when in a front pocket. I would have to choose the S24+ over the ultra for this reason alone.
It's actual frame is still rounded so it doesn't feel sharp in the hand.

100% depends on that other devices you use. Mostly apple? Go with the iPhone. PC etc? Definitely the Samsung.

In college I had the note series. Man that pen comes in handy ! I was able to write on documents, highlight notes, take notes. But now the iPad have a pen and does all of that.
