Wow! Both talent and beauty!! You can always tell in the first few seconds if a drum cover is going to sore......or suck!lol! This one got way up into the stratosphere👍👍
I remember when you first started posting videos to YT, I said this lady is going to be something special, I am glad to see I was right. Well done my dear:)
You've got nice fluidity...one of the best song openings of the late 70's...anyone with a Rush poster behind them is awesome in my books...Geddy Lee is my third cousin and Rush is my band of life...16 concerts including R40 in Toronto, June 19th, 2015...their last...good work rockbandmom...
I swear 2 days ago I said to myself, "Self, we haven't seen a new Rockbandmom vid in a while". And this time we got the extra cute look up at the camera and smile that we didn't in the last vid if I recall. I like that! Very coincidently right about the time you started your drumming journey a co-worker of mine just about begged me to take the old drums out of his basement for $200 that the wife wanted gone. I have played guitar since 1968 when I was 9 but always wanted drums. Turned out the drums were a 1965 4 piece Ludwig champagne sparkle kit with all the hardware, some cheesy English made cymbals and some early 60's Zildjian hi hats. I went drum crazy for several years after that. Added 3 more kits to the house and one was made into a kit for the grandkids by making a bass drum out of an 18" floor tom. Over a few years time I managed to Ebay a good amount of stuff, way too much really. It was almost the "Ebay cymbal of the week club" for a while here. Had to get one of those store display racks that only fits in the living room. Only because the "Ebay guitar of the month club" collection already used up the music room space. Oh well the grankids will inherit some good vintage stuff (hopefully very vintage) when I go. My avatar is a pic of my 2 fav snares. My 71 supraphonic that I put a die cast top hoop on. Tunes like a dream and the die cast gives a crack to this thing the old hoop couldn't. The other one is a pre-serial acrolite that came with a chrome over brass top hoop. The pure "drum" sound from the acro is incredible. I like it especially for that R&B type sound over the sup for heavier rock. Not sure how much the age of the shells account for sound but the hoops seem to, at least the die cast on the sup for sure. You can still get a decent mid 60's acro on Ebay these days at a fair price if you're interested. You may not need 3 like I thought I did but you'll like it! I love what your doing and it's fun to watch. One little bit of advice and not criticism at all. Your left wrist is doing most of the work. Try sharing that work with the rest of your left arm and shoulder a bit. There are a few Joe Morello youtubes where he shows good arm and hand mechanics and how it's works with timing. Check out some old vids of him playing with Dave Brubeck while your at it to see a master at work. Well this got long! Keep rockin Mom! And I'd like to request some Steely Dan. Hope to see you soon!
Omg!!! Again!!!! I love it!!! RRRRRRROCK!!!!!!!! Yeah! #SALUTE P.s. Being a fellow lover of the ROCK,and this song,I AM LITERALLY CRYING at the joy I am feeling seeing and hearing u on my Dr. Dre BEATZ-headphones. Like lead singer Mickey Thomas,I wanna just say...UHHHHHHHN!!!!!! Yeah. Keep Rock'n yo. Word.
That's my favorite by Airplane Jefferson "Jane". It's gonna sound kinda funny it got think about that movie "The Warriors" idk why I guess it's because the sound of the music. Now I know that the music doesn't have nothing to do with that movie but it got think about that movie. But other than that, that was awesome great drumming my friend 💜👍👍👏👏👏👏✌✌

Are there any right handed drummers (drummers who keep the beat with a right hand)??? Is drumming just a right brain/left handed talent???
