It really does! It has that early 60s surfer vibe! Sounds like a song that have easily been in Pulp Fiction. Great song and many thanks to the guitarists covering it.
I think it was Ventures influenced. This sounds like something Don Wilson, Nokie Edwards, Bob Bogle, and Mel Taylor would have thought up. R.I.P. to all four members of The Ventures.
"Since she's been gone I want no one to talk to me It's not the same but I'm to blame, it's plain to see So go away, leave me alone, don't bother me..."
Everyone talks about the I Feel Fine/Watch Your Step connection, but it first occurred here - one of the first rock songs to use thematic riffs. Also the modal harmony was way ahead of its time.
Favorite George song and one of my all time fave Beatles songs. All the parts are amazing but Paul’s bass lines really make the song extra amazing. Great job on this.
Man....just what my Isolated Arse needed! I'M IN MANDATORY STAY HOME ORDERS! SO...."DON'T BOTHER ME!" Oh...and by the by this was FAB! The Country Gentleman has such a cool sound. And the little American Surf music guitar effect I never really noticed on vinyl! Really great job on Georges first song! BE SAFE EVERYONE! " STAY WELL--STAY HOME!"
Wow. Even this early in their career, the Beatles were already innovating new percussion techniques in rock music. I never noticed it before this video. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work, and be safe out there!
My favorite Harrison song. It's rather complicated if you listen carefully. A few years later his Magnum Opus "Here Comes the Sun" would solidify his calibre of talent rivaling Paul and John in my opinion.
This is so awesome. I'm so close to putting an order in for an actual vintage Country Gentleman online. They're so expensive but I've needed one for the past 20 years lol.
You’ll be turning cartwheels on the front lawn once you crank up “That Great Gretsch Sound”! I have a pro line Jet, and would love me a Gent as well, but you know, $$$£££€€€
I'm looking for a performance for this song all month! I even searched your channel, because I hadn't watched all the videos !! I'm surprised! excellent videos, guys :)
You read my mind. I was planning to learn the lead for this today and was wondering how I was gonna figure it out. Now I’ve got your video showing me, thanks!!!
Man, that is some crazy bass playing! McCartney at the top of his game here. But not only him, all of the lads shine. Such an underrated and unappreciated song. Not surprising, I guess when you consider the sheer volume of material the guys churned out back in those days - some true gems were simply lost in an ocean of greatness.
This is the BEST one you blokes have done! Not just the guitar & drum parts, but you nailed that extra percussion sound this song has! Very unique. They say this was George's first (self written) song recorded after their EMI contract. They said (George said?) it wasn't that good.....are you KIDDING ME? This, along with 'Something' are my 2 favorite Beatles era songs. Louise really helped him & them on their way. Amazing. [:-)]
Sounds as if the first three notes of John's intro are the same, but in a slightly different order as the intro of This Boy! What an astonishing 'lead' rhythm part he played on this song. It verges on being the part of the fabric of the composition more than say his triplets on All My Loving. It borders on an argument that he's a (small) co-writer of the song. Great video as we've all said.
Since she's been gone I want no one To talk to me It's not the same But I'm to blame It's plain to see So go away and leave me alone Don't bother me I can't believe That she would leave Me on my own It's just not right When every night I'm all alone I've got no time for you right now Don't bother me I know I'll never be the same If I don't get her back again Because I know she'll always be The only girl for me But 'til she's here Please don't come near Just stay away I'll let you know When she's come home Until that day Don't come around, leave me alone Don't bother me I've got no time for you right now Don't bother me I know I'll never be the same If I don't get her back again Because I know she'll always be The only girl for me But 'til she's here Please don't come near Just stay away I'll let you know When she's come home Until that day Don't come around, leave me alone Don't bother me Don't bother me Don't bother me Don't bother me Don't bother me
I hate to burst your bubble but it’s been well established that John plays lead minus the solo. Also, I don’t think George is playing a B minor, it’s B major.
Whoa. Without the vocal it sounds like surf music.
It really does! It has that early 60s surfer vibe! Sounds like a song that have easily been in Pulp Fiction. Great song and many thanks to the guitarists covering it.
Yeah definitely has a beach boys surfy backing track feel , though they’d have been using fenders!
listen to money on the decca tapes and you hear it kinda sounds like surf music as well due to how Pete Best did the drums for it
I think it was Ventures influenced. This sounds like something Don Wilson, Nokie Edwards, Bob Bogle, and Mel Taylor would have thought up. R.I.P. to all four members of The Ventures.
Such an underrated George song, probably because it was overshadowed by the other hits on the LP. So glad you guys covered it!
💯 💯 💯
I don't even think George liked it much.
The vocal part of the song wasn't great.
Who's George?
@@ktcarl he said it too. I forgot where I saw this but he said that he didn't like this song too much
"Since she's been gone I want no one to talk to me
It's not the same but I'm to blame, it's plain to see
So go away, leave me alone, don't bother me..."
the lead guitar made this song. Owesome as always. A bass tutorial would be great
Everyone talks about the I Feel Fine/Watch Your Step connection, but it first occurred here - one of the first rock songs to use thematic riffs. Also the modal harmony was way ahead of its time.
Extraordinary cover

EXCELLENT!
Love the bass line

The solo... This is THE SOUND! Congratulations man!
The first song written by George. I love this song!

What a band... what music...! when a song like this gets lost amongst other greats. Great rendition. Thanks.
I'm looking for a performance for this song all month! I even searched your channel, because I hadn't watched all the videos !! I'm surprised! excellent videos, guys :)
Excellent. All the other videos of this song that I've viewed miss the Eb in the solo. It's the secret note that makes that solo.
Wow
My favourite music
Out of all the hits in the album you guys covered this one, nice.
Another great song and thanks for the instruments.
Great
Good Thing we have Takes 10-13 preserved online to hear a bit of the process to make a fantastic song
Amazing! As always
Beautiful song! George Harrison was a great guitar man.
Congratulations!
AWESOME!! Great tune very underrated!
😎🎸 🎤 😎🎸 😎🎸 😎🥁 the Beatles
Mannnn...that was awesome!! Love that dom, dom, dom, dom, dom, daddadadada, dom!! And that trevalo sound!!
OMG yesss! Can't wait for the isolated bass.
This tune has always been one of my favorite George numbers. A surprisingly complex arrangement too. Love it!
Good work guys. Sounds just like the recording.
George knows all the chords.
absolutely love it ! George's solo is so good
Nailed it, I watched the studio tracks video earlier today, very nice mix on the guitars and Paul's crafty melodic base lines 👍👍
Way to swing guys!
Amazing 😎💪
I’m a 21 year old from Canada, huge beatles fan and love the channel! Would love to hear you do ‘I Me Mine’
Math multiplied by feelings.
GooD)))))))
You read my mind. I was planning to learn the lead for this today and was wondering how I was gonna figure it out. Now I’ve got your video showing me, thanks!!!

This Definitely Sounds Like The Real Song From The With The Beatles Album.
Another flawless reproduction! Educational and inspiring!!

Well said sir!

My boring days are gone LOL
Absolutely love this song. An amazing cover as always!
HELL YEAH

Very good. Excelente , Bravo! That Rickenbacker makes a big difference.
Nice job! There’s a lot more going on in the song than I realized
That percussion, great.
Ya should cover Octopus Garden!!
Upload the isolated guitars please
Keep up the amazing work. It would really be awesome if you made a cover of Some Other Guy. I love the recent videos of the early Beatles songs.
To me this is the only Beatles song that had a surf rock influence
Thank you. Top quality stuff😊
#Ablyhouse another great cover lads

These covers in the credit screen will be uploaded next
Can you guys do Kansas City please
Please do a full recording rundown. Would love to see how you're micing the drums ect!
Pleease play mister postman😀
Love your videos if I had on wish it would be to meet all of you
Great job!
Nice !
Learned on The Beatles Channel that this was the first Beatles tune to feature only one Beatle singing. At least that what they said 🤔
That's something I've never thought about, cool!
As a non-musician, I thought that the percussion part was played on castanets. And, I didn't know that there was a second rhythm guitar.
In the actual take there’s only John’s Rickenbacker as rhythm guitar playing what the non solo Gretsch is playing
Where has this website been?!! Too Awesome
😎🎬 😎
You guys should do the whole abbey road medley
This song and music instrumen i like very like ❤🎉👏👏👏👏
Are U Going To Use The Beatles Gear that they played in Hamburg?
Helter Skelter please 😎
"You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" please
Since she's been gone
I want no one
To talk to me
It's not the same
But I'm to blame
It's plain to see
So go away and leave me alone
Don't bother me
I can't believe
That she would leave
Me on my own
It's just not right
When every night
I'm all alone
I've got no time for you right now
Don't bother me
I know I'll never be the same
If I don't get her back again
Because I know she'll always be
The only girl for me
But 'til she's here
Please don't come near
Just stay away
I'll let you know
When she's come home
Until that day
Don't come around, leave me alone
Don't bother me
I've got no time for you right now
Don't bother me
I know I'll never be the same
If I don't get her back again
Because I know she'll always be
The only girl for me
But 'til she's here
Please don't come near
Just stay away
I'll let you know
When she's come home
Until that day
Don't come around, leave me alone
Don't bother me
Don't bother me
Don't bother me
Don't bother me
Don't bother me

They actually mentioned the John lead playing around the time this came out, in fact I think they were early proponents of that fact
I'm looking forward to the cover of "Old Brown Shoe"
Will you guys eventually do pre-Beatles stuff?
Nedle Eidnam Like From 1957-1962?
@@kodiachrisvt9099 Yeah, those eras
do lady madonna please!!
It’s my favorite Harrisong.
Can you try if i fell?
Duane Eddy guitar styling, but the harmonic structure a quantum leap forward.
u should cover strawberry feilds. That would be awsome
