Dead on..... Didn't realise how good George was with his lead guitar licks... Until you guys broke it down.... Very educational for beatle fans... Great job...
steve lukather said when he met George and thanking him during late 80's, that this guitar riff george played hit him hard. This is how steve start to play guitar
Anyone aspiring to learn how to play, as The Beatles recorded their songs, would be foolish not to come here first. Always impressed, and never disappointed by the absolute quality that these guys put out. Thanks for the time, and hard work, that you guys put into all of these videos. It's greatly appreciated!!!
One of the more challenging bass parts in The Beatles canon. It must have been a relief for Paul when it came to the middle eight when he played quarter notes.
Well she was just seventeen You know what I mean And the way she looked Was way beyond compare So how could I dance with another, Oh, when I saw her standing there Well she looked at me And I, I could see That before too long I'd fall in love with her She wouldn't dance with another Oh, when I saw her standing there Well my heart went boom When I crossed that room And I held her hand in mine Oh we danced through the night And we held each other tight And before too long I fell in love with her Now I'll never dance with another Oh, when I saw her standing there Well my heart went boom When I crossed that room And I held her hand in mine Oh we danced through the night And we held each other tight And before too long I fell in love with her Now I'll never dance with another Oh, when I saw her standing there Oh, since I saw her standing there Yeah, well since I saw her standing there
George is quoted as saying "When I first met John he only had four strings on his guitar, I taught him you needed six" Well he didn't do so bad after that did he?
I can only repeat what other commenters say: Just friggin' amazing, boys! Not only are your musical skills beyond reproach, your video editing skills are tremendous! Andrew, I love that you caught John's little "skip" in the rhythm at :09 just as Paul sings, "...seventeen." Most guys covering the song miss that. I also love that so many people put so much effort into replicating George's iconic solo...when even he couldn't faithfully duplicate it from take to take. Great job, lads :)
Same man Not many people realize that singing and playing an instrument at the same time is extremely hard. It’s different if you’re just playing chords but if you have an actual melody or a bass like like this, singing at the same time is very, very, very hard.
Not easy, but most musicians do it. Not unique to Paul. George and John had to play guitar while singing which are harder instruments to play. All 3 of these Beatles had to get used to doing it and if you do it enough you get used to it.
And when it was his turn, Ringo, more than ably, could play & sing in that " Ringo" fashion of way in the case of the early years, on such as " Boys " & " Act Naturally " Ringo!!!
Try to think of a new boy band that comes out with their first song (this was their first song I heard over the radio back in 1964) and their music playing is already so superb. You won't see this today, but it did happen in 1964.
You guys pretty much nailed that. Especially the Lennon part. That Cha Cha Cha chunky sound Lennon's time signature. Most tribute bands don't do that they just don't get the right time signature. I wish you would do thank you girl listen to the outro George's bouncy cha cha cha sound on the Gretsch Country Gentleman sounds amazing. Also no reply nobody ever gets that right listen to John j160e George's Tennessean. Very bouncy and swaying. The time signature on that tune is very melodramatic. And you definitely need piano in the mix with a clap track. Also the smothered symbol crashes it was really give it a distinct feel to the song.
Not sure why every other comment repeats this endlessly. Most musicians that sing learn how to sing and play their instrument at the same time. Literally all of them, this is not in any way unique to Paul McCartney. George and John had to sing while playing guitar, a more difficult instrument.
Great job as always! My favorite one to play onstage when my friends band asked me up to play drums with them! Thank you Greg, Sue, Bill, Erik and Mike!
Bravo guys! This the most accurate of these videos I've seen! You got all the nuances & little variations of the guitar and bass parts that many other cover bands miss!
Neil talked about this in a video, it seems hard but because it's all 8th notes. It's easier than most songs. Once you commit the pattern to memory, it's mostly moving that around. Still very amazing though!
Love the disembodied clapping hands! Maybe mix the bass up a little bit... Let George's guitar ring more in some spots.... Tiny things but 98% perfect!
I kinda wish that one of you did that "1, 2, 3, 4!" countoff at the beginning.
One,two,three,FOWA!!!!!

Totally fun watching what they did. Like watching the original members in the studio, recording this. Fun.
steve lukather said when he met George and thanking him during late 80's, that this guitar riff george played hit him hard. This is how steve start to play guitar
Never a huge George fan but damn I agree with you here. His playing, all the layers, is amazing.
The fact Paul played that line and sung at the same time is nothing short of a miracle.
This bass line otherworldly
Damn Paul’s BASS really makes a difference! That didn’t realize to after Stu left how important the entire back beat was!

Its only just one dude playing all the instruments, Stevo !! Jus' say'n !
One of the more challenging bass parts in The Beatles canon. It must have been a relief for Paul when it came to the middle eight when he played quarter notes.
Professor Hamamoto ‘canon’
Guy Incognito ahhhaha
Yep. I am still amazed he could rip thru his bass runs and sing at the same time.
He "borrowed" that riff from someone else's song.
@@williamjordan5554 "I'm Talking About You" Chuck Berry
Damn that is some SERIOUS bass playing! Great work!
Remember, you have to play the bass and sing at the same time to do this song as the Beatles did it.
It’s four different people
@@buckettrent138 actually 3 people
Four guys in their very early twenties coming up with a song like this, and parts like these, is monstrous. Not a slouch in the band.
Well she was just seventeen
You know what I mean
And the way she looked
Was way beyond compare
So how could I dance with another,
Oh, when I saw her standing there
Well she looked at me
And I, I could see
That before too long
I'd fall in love with her
She wouldn't dance with another
Oh, when I saw her standing there
Well my heart went boom
When I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine
Oh we danced through the night
And we held each other tight
And before too long
I fell in love with her
Now I'll never dance with another
Oh, when I saw her standing there
Well my heart went boom
When I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine
Oh we danced through the night
And we held each other tight
And before too long
I fell in love with her
Now I'll never dance with another
Oh, when I saw her standing there
Oh, since I saw her standing there
Yeah, well since I saw her standing there
John laughed at Pauls lyric " She was just 17 and she aint no beauty queen..." John said " Don't say it. Imply it. You know what I mean?" It stayed.
@@robjontay5052 well actually it was never been a beauty queen, but you're right in the second part
That is so good to see. Complete lyrics to the song.
Thanks a lot.

How amazing was George!!! What a band!
His licks add so much to the song!
Freakin fabulous
Your re-creation is completely authentic. Rock and roll never got better than this. Thank you for all the closeup secret ingredients you reveal.
Fantastically fabulous 👍😎
I tried playing that bass run and singing at the same time...very difficult. Kudos Paul.
Such a good song from Paul McCartney. So, simple to play, too. Watching these videos makes the Beatles so easy to play. Thanks.
I’m literally obsessed with these covers 😍👏🏽👏🏽
I didn't notice the hand until about a minute into the sons. Great to include them
With George less was always more, he could always play the notes just at the right time when they were needed, what a talent he was.
This song gives off such 50s sock-hop vibes and I'm all for it
I looked away from the screen and forgot I was listening to a recreation instead of the real thing.
Love this song!!!!!!

How Paul played those bass runs and sang lead at the same time was pure, raw talent. They don't call him Macca for nothin'.
