    So it’s bad to inbreed?

yes, it usually makes them live less, and possibly with more health issues.

I have a question for you please. I know a guy that bred an XL bully to it’s mom.He does not have a kennel by any means , he just had the mom and I think bred her out with another dog from another guy and then she had the son(current dad). He is a very big dog and chances are he has a mastiff or corso maybe a bulldog in him and he weighs close to 130lbs cause he’s on a raw diet. Now the son pup impregnated the dam and have puppies and they are beautiful not gonna lie. I only seen the dogs twice and they seemed ok and were very approachable. The only sign I saw that was alarming was when the sire approached the dam while she was near her dog bowl. I am not sure if it was because her pups were around but it did snarl at him and when the owner spoke up they both stopped and called down. I was there to see the pups when this happened. But my question is - is it safe to get a pup from him? I have no intention of breeding him in any way and will eventually neuter him. I don’t know much of where the dam and her sire came from and I don’t think he has papers on them? But they are really nice dogs but again I don’t know much about them. I think my biggest and most important concern is the dogs health and temperament. Will the dog turn on and attack my family and I so many people have said don’t do it and others have said it will be ok? Kingdom bully kennels told me not to do it and why chance it! He said there are a lot of chances of the dog having health issues and I think that was more of his concern which I understand and also said it can potentially turn and attack me and my family as well so why risk it. What are your thoughts? It would be awesome to be able to talk to you about this. I appreciate any and all time and Information you can provide. 🙏🏽

Finally, a clear explanation of exactly what the term inbreeding coefficient means. Why can't more people simply explain that its a measurement of how inbred your dog is,and the higher the COI the more inbred?

Yes , the higher the more inbred they are. I tried to explain it on our site.
