그래서 이번에 YBM 우리 한테 연락해서 영어 가르치는 비디오 같이 만들자고 했을때 여러분에게 유투브로 영국 영어 가르치는 비디오 만들수있으면 너무 좋겠다고 생각하면서 YBM이랑 같이 English Lesson 비디오 3편 만들기로했고, 첫편은 이거입니다!

솔직히 미국 영어보다 영국 영어 발음이 뭔가 겁나 멋짐ㅋㅋ
Bun Li ㅇㅈ 좀더 발음이 강하고 고급지다고 해야할라나
개인적으로는 영국단어는 단어단어 알아듣기는 하겠는데 전체적인 문장을 들었을 땐 미국이 편한 거 같음. 미국식으로 교육받고 미국 컨텐츠에 익숙해진 거 때문이겠지.
박진현 와 진짜 개공감 단어하나하나는 영국이 더 알아듣기 쉬운데 문장으로 듫어볼떈 영국은 뭔가 중간중간에 먹는듯한 소리가 많아서 못알아듣겠음 ㅋㅋㅋ

그런데 한국인들이 발음하기 쉬운 건 영국 영어라는 말을 영어 선생님께 들은 적이 있어요. 미국 영어 특유의 굴리는 발음? 소위 버터 발음이 영국 영어에는 적기 때문에 더 용이하다고 들은 것 같아요. 우리나라 정규 교과 과정 자체가 미국식 영어에 기반한 탓에, 영국 영어가 조금 생소하게 들려서 그렇지 실제로는 영국 영어가 더 쉽대요. 근데 어찌됐건 전 미국 영어, 영국 영어 둘다 못함 ㅋㅋ
영국영어가 더 고급영어지요..
미국인들이 영국영어쓰는 영국인 흑인여자를 가장 섹시하게 본다는...

***** 호주는 엄밀히 말하면 영국식이라고 하기엔 좀... 미국식과 영국식의 중간단계 같아요..

영국발음은 정말 생긴 그대로 읽는 구나.a같은 경우에는 정말 아에이오우 할떄 처럼 정말 아로 읽는 걸보면

예외는 있습니다. 무조건 그런 건 아닐 겁니다.
주로 -ar 로 끝날때 r을 생략해서 아 라고 발음됩니다. -tation 같은데서는 다르죠.
jh p 꼭 그런건 아닙니다 대표적으로 water는 와텔 또는 와테르가 아니고 우오터인것 처럼 생긴 그대로 읽는 언어는 많이 없어요 그나마 있다면 독어정도
그대로 읽는 거 한국어 있네요(?) 'ㅚ' 발음 제외하면 거의 문자 그대로 읽으니 ㅍㅅㅍ

와 진짜 이 영상 정말 잘 만드신 것 같아요! 영국영어와 미국영어의 발음차이도 궁금했고 영국드라마인 마이 매드 팻 다이어리를 보면서 왜 고등학교를 컬리지라고 하는지 궁금했었는데 궁금증이 한꺼번에 해결되네요:D

영국에서 어학연수 중인데도 정작 영국인 친구는 없어서 잘 몰랐는데, 마지막에 영어로 직역하기 어려운 한국어 표현들 다룬 거 엄청 엄청 좋았어요!!! ㅠㅠㅠ 그런 거 더 다뤄주시면 좋을 것 같아요 얘기할 때 머릿속에 있는 한국어와 정확히 대응하는 영어단어를 찾게 되는데 이게 안 좋은 것 같아서 ㅋㅋ 예를 들어 한국어로 그녀는 만삭이야 말하려 할 때 만삭이라는 단어는 없고 She`ll deliver a baby soon. 이렇게 말하는 것처럼요~~
생각의 차이, 표현의 차이라 보시면 될 거 같습니다.
한국식으로 생각해 보세요. 만삭이란 표현을 어떻게 쓰나....
만삭=출산일이 다가 옴 이라고 생각 하시면,
있는 그대로 영어로 하셔도 그 사람들이 알아 들어요, 희안하게도요.
한국식으로 그냥....almost born, fully nine months(영국은 9개월이라 합니다.), time to be mother, ready for new family.....그냥 직관적이라서 알아듣구요, 그리고나면 영국식으로 어떤 표현을 쓰는지 알려 줄 겁니다.

영국의 존재때문에 미국이 생겼고 그때문에 영국언어를 사투리로 발음하는게 오늘날의 미국영어..미국이 세계1등나라가 되서 미국영어를 쓰지만 진짜영어는 영국..영어의 원조는 영국인데 미국식으로 배운다는게 함정...
함정이 아니고 ... 미국영어를배워나야지 나른 나라 사람들과 소통가는 대부분 전 셰계 사람들이 미국영어를 쓰니까요

한국은 영국영어와 미국영어가 섞인 잡종 영어를 쓰죠, 제 생각에는
영국 영어가 많이 바뀐 것이고 오히려 미국이 원류에 가까워요.
이 친구 일전에 TV에서 본것 같은데..대학에서 한국어를 전공했나봐..한국어 표준악센트로 제대로 말하네..듣기에 전혀 부담이 없군.
고려대에서 국어국문학 전공 요즘 우리말 잘 하시는 분 많지만 억양 액센트 이렇게 정확하신 분은 드물죠 ㅋ

영국은 발음은 둘째치고 억양부터가 너무 넘사벽이라 따라하기가 너무힘듬 발음은 영국발음이더라도 특유의 영국영어식 억양이 아니면 필리핀식 영어가 되버리더라
이거 ㄹㅇ 내가 그 화상영어 해봤는데 필리핌 쌤이 영국 영어 배우신분이었는데 가끔 영국 발음 들리려다가 그냥 필리핀식 영어 되는 거

What's funny is some of the things you said for American words are words I don't actually say. XD It's hard to talk about American words for things because it varies a lot in different regions.
For example, in America people might say "coke," "soda," or "pop."
Another one would be for trainers - where I live people don't really call them "sneakers." We usually say "tennis shoes."
I'm not saying you're wrong though, because those are totally true as well! I just mean that American vocabulary isn't limited only to that. :)
And I call them gym shoes.
It varies depending on where in the USA you live. Midwest usually uses "pop".
Also in the midwest people stand IN line at the grocery store, where as (and I dont remember where) some would say they stand ON line at the grocery store
***** Oh yeah, I also say gym shoes sometimes!! I live in Dallas, and I think as this is an area to which more people move from other places in the country (as compared to other cities in Texas) we tend to say more of a mix of things from different dialects.
Wait, people actually say "stand ON line?" Huh, that's interesting! I haven't heard that. :)
Another one I know is "grocery cart" vs "shopping cart" vs "buggy." I usually say shopping cart, but occasionally (and I hear others say this too) I will say buggy.

ForeverCellist No problem. I find these things very interesting as well. I took a sociolinguistics class so I'm a little more familiar with variations. You should too, I think you would find it very very interesting.
If you have to write for an American audience, it's usually best to stick to "soda" and "sneakers". I'm from Canada and there's many variations for a lot of vocabulary here too, but, if you have to talk to a wide audience of people, you really have to know the big ones. The troublesome one is "pants" vs. "trousers" online when you don't know where the person is from.

as a person that lived in England, this was a really fun video! I was really confused in school when they taught me that trousers were pants in Korea lol. When I was talking with my American friend we were talking about how chips refer to different objects. It would be fun if you talk about it on another 영국영어 video

♥♥ I really wonder how to say '아쉽다/AShipda' as English. (Can u see Korean in ur phone or laptop?) For example, I want to take a bus and when I go to Bus stop, I see the bus in front of Bus stop. But I am far form there about 50meters so I can't catch the bus and I miss the bus. Or second example, if I get 90 score in a test, I can get A+ on the subject. But after I check the test, I see my score is 89. If I get 1 point more, I can get A+, But I can't. At that time we usually use this expression. when when I went Phillipines and Australia, I sometimes wanted to express this kind of meaning. But I couldn't fine that also my friends who can speak English very fluently couldn't find the expression. One if my Fillippines teacher also doesn't know that, even though she understand that meaning because also they have same expression("Nongda-"). I really want to know the expression! And I'd like to learn how to say directly and clearly when I'm feeling sorrow because of my friend's leaving to their country. In detail, we could keep in touch and meet again someday but feeling is NOT peaceful, happy and comfortable.
