I just wanted to thank you for all of the information and inspiration you share in your videos! I am a watercolor "newbie." I mainly do alot of DIY projects and thrift flips. I usually do alot of projects using Iron Orchid Design products. My favorite being their silicone moulds and stamps. I never realized alot of what I create when not "flipping" a thrifted item is considered mixed media. I have a love for decoupage as well. One of the team members for IOD and Roycycled (my favorite decoupage paper brand) is a watercolor artist named Lexi Grenzer. BAM! My curiosity and now new obsession is watercolor.
I have invested in good supplies, such as Arches paper and Daniel Smith watercolors. I have also bought a few Amazon palettes out of curiosity.
I have realized over the last few months I have no idea how to draw or paint. I have had this desire to just journal or practice without having to get out my stamps or stencils everytime I want to practice or paint. I am so grateful for videos like this. This gives me the inspiration I needed to just pick up my brush and practice actually painting without a guide and ENJOYING watercolor the "real" way. It is such a "different" medium. I think that what has drawn my attraction to it. It is so cool to watch how it does "its thing" on the paper and every time is a beautiful result! Thank you for this video especially! It is so fun to just ....well...paint!
I look forward to finding time to binge watch your videos! 2 of the latest DS colors I bought were from your recommendation. They were exactly as you described!

My favourite flowers are the giant bushes of hydrangeas in my garden. They're like hundreds of tiny flowers packed into one! I would have no idea how to paint them though as my Type A brain still hasn't worked out how give the impression of detail without actually doing all of the tiny details 😅

Glad you liked it! I’m using paints from a new set I got from Roman Szmal. I believe the colors are Quinacridone Cherry Red, Quinacridone Magenta, Green Gold and Indigo. If you don’t have Quinacridone Cherry, any warm red will work. Also, green gold is lovely but a traditional sap green would work just as well 👍
