    ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Margot and I am a professional artist and graphic designer. My parents like to joke that I was born with a paintbrush in hand. I started my career after graduating from the renown Parsons School of Design in New York City and spent over 15 years creating and designing for many of the world's top Fortune 500 brands and companies. My painting journey started as a side project and a creative outlet for me to step away from the computer, go back to my "roots" in fine art and to hone my skills as an illustrator and painter. I started posting some of my work on instagram and the rest is history. My work is inspired by all the things that I am passionate about. Ballet, travel, graphic design, color and finding a world of beauty in all facets of everyday life. I hope you'll join me in this RUclips journey as I take you through all the tips, tricks and trade secrets I've gathered throughout the years. I hope I can teach you some of what I know, help you discover your creative voice and I hope you enjoy this Channel!

The little dotty branch accents remind me of sweet huckleberry twigs in dry flower arrangements (I had a wee obsession last year with painting dried arrangements 🙃)

Wow! I have been struggling with a watercolor of pale purple-tipped white cosmos with the view taken from lying in the field of flowers looking upward toward one large flower with several others of smaller sizes receding from the main one against a harmonious blue sky with a big clear spot of light coming from the center-right.
Watching your video showed me exactly where I have gone wrong and it's not completely fixable at this point, although I will finish it anyway. But now I am inspired to do it all over again using the techniques your shared here. I want to take a photo and use it to make a digital birthday card for my sister-in-law. Thankfully I have until October to pull it together - lol.
I have been watching several of your videos and have enjoyed them immensely! You are not just super-talented as an artist, but your teaching style is both informative and inspiring - and I love your sense of humour! Thank you *so* much for this tutorial. I am also going to paint this one, too - it is just gorgeous. The coolness of the colors is paradoxically warm because of the overall feeling. I love it when that happens. :)

Beautiful in a dreamy sort of way. Love the large peony look. How would you go about painting a hydrangea in a larger size like this? I saw your video where you did several flowers one being a hydrangea but it was much smaller. Would you still paint the 4 petals in a ball shape? I tried it but it looked too contrived. I like this looser feel.

Hi Margot, I painted this one this past weekend. Everything looks good except for the peonies. Can't seem to get them to look like yours.
The two petals in the middle stand out too much. Even my husband says he doesn't know how to look at it, is this from the top or side?
Anyway, I am open to suggestions. I was hoping to give one of these paintings to my girlfriend for her birthday.
