daisy!
Jenna Rainey my favorite flower is the phormium.
I love the one that you added the black center at the end of the video, please let me the name and please do more videos of that flowers
Oooh, that's a tough one!! I love them ALL! But if I had to pick just one, I'd go with the cherry blossom. Reminds me of several April Vacations in Washington DC and my childhood in Japan. Sooo beautiful!
@@SistersHobbies sunflower i believe
I am a total newbie to watercolors and I have watched a few beginner tutorials on RUclips with OK results. Jenna, I painted along with 6 of the 10 flowers and was so pleased with the results. I even created "Happy Spring" postcards with the flowers I learned to send... and.... they don't look like a kid painted them! Here's the best part: after I watched this lesson I made my own lavender postcard... my own creation based on what you taught and it is the FIRST time I am actually PROUD of one of my watercolor paintings! Thank you, you took me there!
I've recently decided to try art as an outlet for anxiety. I'm definitely not an artist, but I can't wait to get started in watercolors after watching your video! Thank you for breaking this down into simple steps and making it possible for anyone. :)
super cool! art can be a REALLY good way of relieving stress
Same x
I enjoy watercolor videos of yours too. Also helps with anxiety for me. I have P D so it’s a challenge for most daily activities. 🙋♀️💜
Exactly why I’m trying watercolors

It’s appreciated!!!❤
Girl you are the shizt 💯💡🙏 bless you for taking the time to do this for the rest of us 😘 you are truly an amazing human being ❤️💯💡😘
Thank you for sharing your amazing talent. This is the first time that I tried since 10th grade Art Class. Now, 64 years old and simply amazed that I can do this. Very fun, very fulfilling. Bless all you people who put this on the internet.
I never thought I could paint a rose in water colour but with your tutorial I just did and loved it ... thank you for making it seem so easy ...
You're a natural at teaching, Jenna. I feel so fortunate to be learning from you. Thank you!!☺
You are so welcome Eileen! Thank you!
I am a super beginner and totally enjoyed this tutorial. Flowers have always been my interest and I really like watching Jenna mix colors and laying down her brush in ways that make the flowers look neat!
This was AWESOME, thank you so much Jenna! Poppy, Rose & Black-eye’d Susan were my favorites! I think you are probably helping so many people through this difficult time, appreciate all you do! 💗 🎨🌹🌼🌷🌺🌻🌱
Aw so glad you loved it Sheri, thanks!
Looks wonderful and quite easy when you break them down. I like all of them. Thanks so much.. I think I like the bottom purple one. but truly I love them all.
Aw thanks Billie!
Rank beginner here, but you've given me the confidence to go try these myself! Thanks! I think the cherry blossom was my favorite, then the lavender.
Best side-facing sunflower I've ever painted. And the delphiniums are lovely. Thank you!
Thank you Jenna, I absolutely loved painting these flowers. I have been painting for about 2 weeks and under your instructions (which are so very helpful) I am now able to paint a range of flowers that look like flowers. My favorite flowers were Cherry blossom and Sun flower. I look forward to keep practicing. Love your videos
I haven’t painted in a long time, and watching your tutorial makes me want to open up my watercolor palette again. This was the most relaxing thing I’ve watched in recent months.
Firstly, I'm so glad this was relaxing for you. Second, I DO hope you bust out that watercolor palette! Happy painting (if you do decide to get back to it)! ❤️ ❤️
I’ve been watching and enjoying many of your videos this week.
I’ve learned more watching them, than I did in a year of taking a course (20 years ago).
I don’t know whether I will try watercolour painting, but everything you teach, is so valuable in all aspects of art.
Thank you so much and especially for making it free.
You are a wonderful teacher. 😇
Thank you so much for sharing, watching, and supporting! I appreciate it and am glad you enjoy!
You have such an excellent teaching technique for those of us who are trying to learn to paint with watercolors. Thank you from a 70 year old beginner.
The lavender is so lovely! Love watching you mix colours ❤
Thanks so much 😊❤️
A fun tutorial! My favourite flower in this tutorial was the zinnia and the hardest flower for me to paint was the rose and perhaps the anemone, but I will bee practicing this tutorial again. I have learned quite a lot from this tutorial, so thank you.
I have no words for how grateful I am that you share your skills with us. You are a gifted teacher. Thank you! The flowers bring me great joy! I am fascinated how you can move your arm and hand so freely to paint leaves and petals on the left side. I always turn the paper! Practice, practice! Once again, thanks to you and your husband for making this tutorial.
Wow, Rene, thank you so much for your kindness and appreciation! Comments like these really keep us goin!
I absolutely enjoy these watercolor tutorials! I am a beginner to painting all together, but these step by step lessons have helped me to confidently create beautiful art on my own. Thank you Jenna!
I don't know that I could pick a favorite flower. I am going thru the video and doing pages in a journal of just that ONE to help me with my techniques. Your work is so inspiring, and you describe what to do just right!! THANK YOU!!
Jenna, you are such a good teacher...thank you for making this video. Stay safe...
Thanks Betty! You stay safe too! ❤️
Thank you Jenna. I am enjoying painting a purple bearded iris from your Everyday Watercolor Flowers book for a birthday card for a friend in Canada.
That's awesome, Cindy! Have fun painting the card! Love that.
Wonderful! Roses still elude me but my lavender actually resembled yours. You are so encouraging yet forthright and specific. For folks like me who have difficulty processing directions it's such a helpful adjunct to your books to *see* how you hold and move your hand. Everyday Watercolor is excellent: this is a perfect complement.
Every one was a learning experience for me, thank you. My favorite was the cherry blossom. They are truly lovely each and every one.
Jenna, this my first time seeing your videos, and I love how detailed your directions were!! My sister and I are just starting out with watercolors, and I can't wait to see more! The sunflower is my favorite, though I may change my mind when I try it myself! Lovely, but looks challenging! Thanks! I have subscribed!
Thanks SO MUCH Marcy for your kindness and for supporting my channel! Have fun painting!! ❤️
I loved all ten loose flowers. Thank you. I have also greatly enjoyed your books; I love to study the flowers in hope that your talent will touch me via the written word and the oh! so beautiful illustrations.
Aw thank you so much Mariangela! ❤️❤️
Really loving the black eyed Susan, thank you for sharing your skills on this platform! The lavender and rose are the toughest ones for me!
Not only are you a gifted artist, but teacher as well. Extremely well instructed. Thank you 🌺
Ok I have been watching it twice and I have practice it twice, the second time was a way better!!!!!! I'm satisfied!!!! I deserve a glass of wine now....🍷🥂😁🌿🥀🌷🍂🌼
Great job! Go get that wine and celebrate! lol
Thank you so much for sharing your talent. I learned more from this video than I learned from an expensive online watercolor course I bought last year. I still struggle with flower petal shapes, and you explained this very clearly. Love your painting style and your teaching style - so calm, clear and informative. I can't decide which flower I like best - they are all lovely.
Wonderful! Peggy, thanks so much for sharing! I am so glad these videos are helpful for you!! Thanks for supporting my channel!
Thank you so much Jenna, I learned a ton watching you paint and explain details. I struggle with drawing flowers in different directions. So grateful ❤
Thank you. My first time painting with water colors and I can identify the flowers 😜 My favorite was the sunflower.
Loved ALL of them! Love your tutorials! You are so calm when you paint and this Type A REALLY needs that right now! Lol It’s really soothing and encourages me to slow down when I paint and enjoy the process. Thank you for sharing your awesome talent!
Aw thanks so much for sharing, Delaine! That means the world. ❤️
ooooo
This channel is so underrated , she is an amazing teacher . 🌹
Aw thank you! ❤️ ❤️
♥️
Great instruction!
Thanks ! So fun I liked the tulip!
I love the lavender and. The poppy! I love that you explain how to hold the brush and the. Direction to pull from. You are making it easy for a beginner like me!
My favorite is the Anemone although all ten are beautiful. I found this tutorial very helpful as I am enjoying both of your books.
I’m glad to hear this is helpful!! Thanks Olga!
@@JennaRaineyChannel Can you recommend else brush brands you liked
@@JennaRaineyChannel Can u pls tell which *Water colour* *Brand* You had used.
Every single one of em look beautiful, inspired me to paint more floral Watercolor paintings..💝😊
Go for it! Thanks for sharing Keren!
Thank you ...I loved this and will practice more..I love the black-eyed susan and tulip
Loved having Hossa say “hello”! Your videos are great! Please keep them coming. I’m a beginner trying to teach my self and these are so helpful! My biggest challenge is the water/pigment control. I like how you show what you are doing off the paper with your brush and water. Thank you!
Hi Jenna! I really enjoyed all of them, but my favorite if I have to choose would be th Black Eyed C
Susan! Thank again for all your help!
You're welcome, thanks for watching Ginger!
this is Norah I'm 8 I am so exited to see what we paint last time I painted with you I did really good that my mom framed it so I want to see what I create
That’s awesome Norah!! I’m so happy to hear your excitement for painting! Have fun!
I just started painting two days ago, and I painted along with you. I think my rose and Black-eyed Susan turned out the best!
Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this tutorial video! Thank you, Jenna!! I appreciate your step-by-step teaching - so helpful! I too love the W&N paints and have begun to use them and your list of colors exclusively so I can learn to mix any color. Keep up these simplified, yet very lovely floral lessons. BTW, I so loved your sweet hubby's Valentine video and your heartfelt reaction. Valentine's Day is my birthday and when I was married, my hubby spoiled me thoroughly each year - outdoing himself. I am now single and REALLY miss those Valentine birthdays. May I encourage you to continue celebrating this holiday to remind each other of the love you have for each other. Life is too short! :)
Aw Linda! Thanks for all the love and encouragement. We’re both so glad to hear you’re loving the videos and we appreciate your words! ❤️❤️
I have finally started using the mixing area of my tins! They were clean and unused! I'm using Art Philosophy tins. And watching you mix all those colors together in that pallette has taken me a minute to not get tense over 🤣. So yes, this was fun! I like my sunflower best too! Thank you!
Same here..I need to clean that palette jaja
Thanks Jenna for making this tutorial, lately I have been in to floral watercolor and this video really help me improve my work.❤
Of course, Darlene, I am so happy to hear you're improving!! Have fun painting!
So in love with this tutorial! I'm just getting into watercolors, so I saved this to try SOON! Thank you!!!
I bookmarked this video a long time ago and finally painted these today. So fun and relaxing! Agree w everyone that seeing how you move the brush and hand really helps. Thank you for simplifying watercolor for us beginners and for a beautiful selection of flowers.
thank you for the instruction...I loved the slow explanation of how to form the strokes for the petals :)
best sunflower i've ever done
LOVE hearing that, Sherri!! Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you're loving that sunflower!
Wow that palette is well loved 😍 thanks for this, my therapist suggested I try art and I've really been enjoying learning. Thank you for the generous tutorials
❤️❤️❤️
Lavender and delphinium were my faves. Thank you for the fun lesson.
Truly can't choose a favorite. Each one tugs at my heart - no kidding. Love that you leave the colors that have bled into another. Also appreciate your artfully messy paint wells. That's the way mine look. Have tried painting simple flowers for years but I used many strokes for each bloom and most were a disappointment. Excited to try your method. Thanks so much for making this video
I just discovered your channel! Aaahh! I love it! I’ve just discovered watercolor and I’m obsessed. Your videos are perfect for me.
Aw thanks for sharing Morgan! I’m so glad you’re loving my videos! ❤️❤️
I love all of them! Thank you, Jenna!
Thanks Patti! ❤️
Finally I can paint a flower! Found your video and I love it! Discovered water colour on a recent holiday and have been slightly consumed by it ever since! This is one hobby I’m going to enjoy. Thank you 🥰🌸
I've tried painting flowers here and there and have always thought sunflowers are beautiful to paint so I never really paid much attention to other flowers but I found a new favorite now. My eyes are set on delphinium😍 thankies for giving us a video that is really easy to follow and understand😘
Yay! thank you for this resource!! excited to paint.
You're welcome Janel!
Love the lazy susan! I need to practice the 'point and lift' (mine are a little rough on the 'lift' part), but this is a good starting point for me. Thanks so much for sharing this video!🤗💖
Glad you enjoyed, Mariam! ❤️
Thanks for showing how you mix colours, very helpful. Such vibrant beautiful work. Loved them all!
I’ll need to do this again and again. Sunflower turned out the best.
Being on lockdown I am running out of things to keep me busy, So I ordered me some watercolor paints an paper. Now to be honest I can't draw a straight line to save my soul, but your video made it look so easy an I know mine won't be perfect to begin with and it will take time and patience to learn, but your video was so easy to listen to and your slow explanation of the strokes were amazing. Thank you 4 a great video Hugs Ps. blackeye was my fav.
I'm so glad you are using lockdown to get into watercolor and creativity! I hope you find my videos helpful! Thanks for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!! This video was in such an easy way to learn to paint flowers. I'm a beginner!! 😍
I love them all, but, I think the delphinium has my heart this time. Don’t be afraid to get the blow dryer out.
Nice, thanks for sharing Susan! Yes, def gotta bust out the blow dryer, especially with limited time (ie. napping baby!) ❤️
I love how you make it so clear and simple. The anemone tutorial you did for the single flower was absolutely awesome. Roses are the hardest for me. I just decided to practice a page of just roses and it still doesn't come easily. I've painted many and the muscle memory you talk about just hasn't clicked in yet for that flower. Thank you Jenna!
You are so welcome Maggie! Take care!
So enjoyed your painting... thank you !!!!!
This was amazing. Thank you so much!! 💕
Glad you liked it!! Thanks Pippa!
I find you so much easier to follow than other painters. Thanks for your great instructions!
Thanks Dell! I'm glad to hear these instructions are easy for you to follow!! Happy painting!

Love the delphinium
I have been watching watercolor tutorials almost non stop trying to learn the art. Your tutorials are the best I have seen. This one has been so helpful to me as a beginner. Thank you!😊
I love your humor, talent and ability to teach. I can’t wait to try these!!
I love them all! I am very frustrated by the rose so that is what I'm focusing on right now. I am going to watch the video on just the rose next! Thank you! I am doing the exercises in your book and I love having the video back-up!!!
So glad you're diving into this, you'll get that rose!
I also have problem painting roses, see if Donna Duberry roses technique which is beautiful can help you. She used to be in PBS in the 90. It seems to me many people did very well but not me. Try it you'll enjoy it👍👌
the black eyed was my favorite to paint, Its like 2 am and I cant sleep
Well I am glad this watercolor is keeping you company! ❤️
Your tutorials are fabulous. So many questions answered tonight. Can't wait to try these flowers in the morning. Thank you so much from the UK !
I have been searching around to look for a tutorial to teach how to draw flowers by water color, and I found your channel. I appreciate you shared this tutorial as it is very detailed and show a number of different flowers. I particularly like the blueish flower, i love the combination of different blue shades and your strokes are really nice. I will learn from your tutorial to try to complete a flower bouquet including all these flowers and i hope it will turn out pretty.
Love the loose flowers. Although my hand has a hard time being that loose with control. Practice, right?! I would love to know what the other colors in your palette are - I know you top 12 from the download but what other colors do you love?
You’re right, Stacey, practice practice - enjoy the process! All the paints that use are linked in the description, I really don’t use anything else. 😉
Thank you for sharing, they are beautiful.
You are so welcome, glad you liked the video!
You give so many amazing tips in this video, from how to hold your brush at a particular angle, envisioning the stem when painting the direction of the flower to varying the color slightly between petals or areas of the flower cluster - honest these things seem like a given but when you’re in the moment sometimes you can forget these things and then wonder why your watercolor looks so flat and boring, THANK YOU!!
You are so fun & such a great teacher! I think my favorite was the cherry blossom🌸 but they all turned out so pretty! I love the way you simplified each one. Thank you for doing this. (& thank John too❤)
Your tutorials are amazing!
I really enjoyed this. I painted while my children did some other art work, drawing with pencils, soft pastels and coloring. We all had a lovely time. Which of your videos is a good place to start with water colours? What products do you use? What do you suggest for beginners?
Fiona.
Hey Fiona! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. Good place to start: I have a "Watercolor Basics" playlist that will be a great start. A series of videos that will give you very important tips on how to approach watercolor < ruclips.net/p/PLdb2U9SHuFlLKHCUZIzzSsvd8_z8I9JcR >, I also have a watercolor supplies playlist, a series of videos that share what supplies I use and why I love them < ruclips.net/p/PLdb2U9SHuFlKJwcKAzcOqdJXbxwnmF2H6 >, and lastly, if you want to know what supplies I use, I always link them in the description of every video, so it's nice and easy for you to find! I hope that's helpful, have so much fun painting!!

Your work is just so beautiful! I don't know if I have a favorite. I'm inspired to go back to my studio and paint though! :)
Have so much fun, Carolyn!!
Thank you!!! That was perfect! Not too fast, not too slow, and not too complicated!! I'm gonna go paint now!!
You’re amazing, you’re a good teacher, thank you for giving clear and concise directives in how to handle the paint brush. I’m a beginner and it’s not easy! Massive thank you 🙏
You are so welcome!
I'm so rough on m painting, being day 2 with a brush in my hand, but I love your tutorials. Definitely just need to continue to work on my shapes and strokes!
I know the early stages of painting can be frustrating, but what an exciting time to be learning and growing and diving into this hobby. Stick with it and enjoy the process! Take each brush to paper as a learning experience. Have fun!
@@JennaRaineyChannel That's such good advice, one I am going to adhere to going forward! Thank you, Jenna!
Watercolor flower painting is so beautiful and beautiful.
You're a great painter.
Enjoy, and I always cheer for you.
Thank you so much 😀
Had so much fun following along! My favorite was the cherry blossom!
I just wanted to say thank you for the free e-book, it was way bigger than I expected and packed with wonderful information. I also wanted to say that I really enjoy how you teach especially tips on how to hold the brush, you make it look so simple. Thanks again!
Me and my art teacher are doing this right now and we both LOVE this
❤️❤️❤️
This is visual therapy 💕💐🌺🌻
So glad it's some art therapy for you, Michelle! ❤️

I did my first try using watercolor watching your tutorial, and it made me feel like an expert artist. Thank you
I haven't used water colours paints for years.. Always gone towards acrylics but the way you explain and teach I am looking forward to getting into water colour painting. So peaceful and there really is no mistake in watercolour. Makes it looks beautiful and original. Thank you for teaching and explaining the techniques and the colours used.
Favorite flower was probably the zinnia!
Heard that! That was fun!
Im just painting My favorite is definitely the Anemone!!
I love this.
I was really happy with the results
👍❤
I love all the flowers
Happy to hear that, thanks!
I can't get over how you don't waste a single stroke- every brushstroke is perfect and intentional! Even just watching how gracefully you use the brush is as cool as the art you're producing!
