Yay, a new video ❤ Sam's pasta looks delicious. Kale is the very best and also so good for you. Bucatini is my favorite pasta. My mom used to make perciatelli (very similar) and it brings back wonderful food memories for me. Very disappointed about the dessert and NO BREAD SERVICE??? Especially at an Italian place... come on Disney. I was very happy to see a cappuccino available, my favorite. It would be interesting to try and see how that is. You guys are awesome. Thanks for another great video ❤🎉😊
Disney has been skimping on the bread service for the in park restaurants for awhile now and it's disappointing to us. Both pastas and appetizers were solid. Dessert was not good. All in all we had a great time for what it was. I wouldn't go in expecting an Italian masterclass but most dishes were good and the asthetic is on point. All Italian restaurants need a cappuccino! It was just a little to late at night for us to have caffeine. You're awesome! Thanks so much for helping us make these videos 🙂.
Omg yay! I’m excited to see your Disneyland content, currently in the process of planning my first official Disneyland trip and can’t get enough Disneyland content right now, hope you have a great time! As for hydraulics new place I’ve seen all poor reviews on it I vote you go eat the new crepes at universal instead and save yourself the pain of eating at the hydraulics place lol.
Yo, that cheese pull!!! And that banger you guys have playing at the start of the video!! I always find mozzarella sticks be very hit or miss. These look like a hit. Also, Christina loves the Olive Garden as well. You guys are some weird Italians. Lol but I love you all.
The new music website we've been using really has had some hits. These mozzarella sticks were definitely an upgrade. The thing about Olive Garden is, I don't see it as a good Italian food. It's just solid Italian themed comfort food if that makes sense. The bread sticks and salad are undeniable. We love you guys too ❤.
The atmosphere is on point and I can definitely see this being a great downtime spot. Hopefully they bring back the artichokes! We love the pizza emoji 🙂.
Thank you Amy. Yes, last time we went to Turf Club they did have bread service. While we mostly enjoyed our visit to Mama's it's definitely not a must do!
Hey guys! Great meeting you the other day at Disneyland. We're thinking about eating here versus Trattoria al Forno. Primarily because this lets us not leave the park and we can get a reservation for closer to our ideal dinner time (5 PM). Thoughts? Previously, we wouldn't have even considered Mama Melrose's given the reputation, but with a new menu we're intrigued enough to consider it.
Hi Traver! We're so happy we got to meet you. Your videos were so helpful on our vacation and we really appreciate them 🙂. In our opinion, Trattoria Al Forno is far superior cuisine wise compared to Mama Melrose. Mama Melrose has great atmosphere and the Mozzarella Sticks were definitely a step up but it still falls short a bit on some dishes. Not bad for a quick bite with the family in a nice environment but for Italian Food on Disney property our top pick is Il Mulino in the Swan Resort. Trattoria Al Forno would be our next pick based on our experiences there. Hope that helps! Excited to see what you and your family get up to on your WDW trip.
@@ThemeParkFoodies Thanks! I hadn’t even heard of Il Mulino. Maybe perhaps once or twice out of context, but didn’t know where it was or that it was even Disney. We’ll look into that one too! Much appreciated.
Thank you guys for hitting up Mama's. This is one of the restaurants we plan on going to in October. Cheese sticks looked like a solid try and the pizza also looked yummy all the while receiving a solid (7) My wife loves the Olive Garden because of the salad and the bread sticks. I think its "OK". As always, looking forward to your next review and thank you for what you guys do. I have to ask, did you watch WrestleMania XL?
I did! And I really enjoyed it. Did you see it? Happy we were able to get here. Our suggestion is to skip dessert. Everything else was pretty solid. The mozzarella sticks were definitely a highlight 🙂. Your wife can join our Olive Garden gang 😎. Thanks so much for your support!
@@ThemeParkFoodies I saw bits and pieces of it, was a good show. I can imagine you watch it in a different light. Olive Garden Gang, I like it !! Thank You
I'm still waiting for a review where the atmosphere is kinetically satisfying while you eat bombastically elevated food. Merch idea! This was a fun review, thanks!!
Great review!! Artichokes over kale... that dish having kale seemed like an odd choice for them to put together... spinach seemed like it would've worked better. How is their red sauce? That's my problem about Disney Italian, is their red sauce is just worse than Prego or Ragu (which I don't like). I'm a Queens Italian girl, so I'm just very critical of that kind of thing. We tried both Tony's and Mama Melrose in 2016 and didn't like either :( Except, Tony's Tiramisu was really good!! But I couldn't book it just for that.
Definitely agree that spinach would work better than Kale here. The red sauce on the pasta was better than the marinara they brough out for the mozzarella sticks. If your from Queens this food and the sauce is definitely not going to impress you 😆. I think we've found with both Tony's and here is that they do one or two dishes very well but overall, if you've had real Italian food previously, these spots aren't places to go out of your way for. We do love the asthetic here though.
Pre Covid I thought the food at this restaurant was great. After Covid it was extremely poor quality, really not eatable. Does look a bit better now. Glad the canned artichokes are gone and fresh greens replaced and a reduction of amount of sauce.
Rant away fam. You’re on point - the least they can do is offer a couple of pieces of bread and some olive oil with those prices. I mean fettuccine with shrimp for 30$….and no bread. Shame
That was a great review guys thank you ❤

That’s so exciting! The food really is so much better. We’ll be filming a ton too. New crepes seems wayyyy better than dry cinnamon rolls!!!
@@ThemeParkFoodies omg yay lol can't wait to see where you will be eating at!
Another great video!!! Wishing you both a great day! 🙏🙏
Thank you Cara ❤️ Have a great week!

artichokes😀 over kale yes! the seating in mamas Melrose is one of the reasons why i like it there for a little bit of down time for the kids

@@ThemeParkFoodies the pizza emoji rocks🥰✌
Great review. I also like having a bread service. I think Turf Club still offers the bread service. Still not sure I'm ready to try Mama's.

Never ate here in all the times I came to WDW, finally eating here in this December
Hope you enjoy!

A lot of restaurants went down after Covid, but slowly things are getting better and more normal.
How is the food going?😊😊😊
Pretty good!

No bread service especially at an Italian restaurant is always SO tacky to me.
Wouldnt walk over there to eat
you don’t have to 😂
👏👏🪻👏👏
🙂 thank you!
Zesty
I hate any cake make with almond flour!
I can see why!!!!
artichokes taste good. kale does not.
We don't dislike Kale but feel artichokes complemented the dish better. Still good!
