  • The Leviathan box included a really cool Librarian in Terminator Armour. I dont run Librarians with my space marines very often so I decided I would paint mine as a Grey knight to go with my Grey Knights army. The result is pretty cool...

    Nice to see someone else put a helmet on the librarian.

      I saw the arm mounted storm bolter and immediately thought of my Grey Knights. Plus his head looked a bit sad next to his bulky armor. I also don't enjoy exposed heads on giant tanky space soldiers.

    While i might not play or paint grey knights, this is a cool looking scheme for Librarian, rather then just the pure blue armour

      I agree. This scheme could work well on any librarian. It doesn't have to be grey knights specifically.

      Thank you. I really enjoy how this one turned out. It kind of makes me want to go paint the rest of my Grey Knights.

      It is just such an affordable brand and it gets the job done. It might not be the best but it certainly works.

    How did you put the helmet on the mini?

    • @TheMiniatureManager
      @TheMiniatureManager  Год назад

      It was fairly simple. before connecting the front piece of the main body I found an extra grey knight head, I had to cut the left side of the head down a bit for it to fit and I also cleaned out a bit of the detail towards the back of the cavity where the head sits.
      From there I simply glued the head in and put the front piece of the body on.

      Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party, but I gotta ask - the head is from the regular grey knights or the terminators? or some older terminators? I wanna give this a shot, but I dont know which head to use, since the GK terminator heads seem a bit larger@@TheMiniatureManager

      @@Grdy987 This is one of the paladin heads from the Grey Knight terminators kit. Note that I did have to shave some of the head off as well as some of the torso to get it to fit on this body. Nothing you can see but I did have to alter both pieces.

      @@TheMiniatureManager understood, thanks for the info. Would a grey knight terminator head fit? Those seem wider than the paladin ones (and I do like them more, but I dont wanna buy it and then find out it wont fit :D )

    • @TheMiniatureManager
      @TheMiniatureManager  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@Grdy987 It is wider but also shorter front to back. I would have chosen one of those if I had any on hand when I did this project. I think it will probably require the same amount of modification as the paladin head. It isn't so much wider that it will be a problem I think.
      The key is identifying which parts of the head can be chopped down without ruining the look. The nob on the bottom of the head can easily be chopped off and no one will ever notice. As can any parts that won't be visible.
