The last time I had this happen, I just restarted my computer and it worked itself out. This time I tried to avoid it and found your first solution worked, even without having to restart afterwards.

re-indexing helped, but it only indexed like 90.000 elements, despite the fact that I have 650.000 files and 250.000 folders in that disk. So it doesn't index all files. What can you do against this?

Hey, for anyone reading this, this happened to me years ago. I fixed it by opening the file C:\Windows\System32\ctfmon.exe every time I restarted the PC using the Windows + R key.

@@Mrdsmith500 Didnt find a fix that worked for me, but i did speak with microsoft and we reset my pc, kept all the files and downloaded it with cloud option and it works now, my pc’s also running more smoothly. Apparently i had windows files that were corrupted so it fixed them completely Edit: It fixed the search bar
@@assassins13610 I got this after running the scan. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Then continued with a path to the logs. I'll try to figure out how to do a "reset" Thanks.
my problem is when i clicked on search bar it moves downwards automatically just like if i scroll it down using down arrow. i tried to fix it using this methods and it's not working. my mouse and keyboard working properly on everything else just not when i click on search bar. is there anyone else experience the same issue and know how to fix this?

My windows opens when I press the windows button, but once I click the search bar on the top it all cancels itself like I exited. How do I fix this?
