Thank you for sharing your personal and professional experience with us.
I totally can relate to some of what you’ve experienced up north vs down south (low energy, exercise, gloom and doom mood).
I’m looking to move for a lifestyle change. Each year, the intolerance to the long and gloomy season gets worse.
Up north, we eagerly await the coming of spring, summer season. Early fall 🍁 is also nice so we appreciate the warm seasons since they’re short lived.
I also love cruising so it will cost me less since south Florida has a cruise port 🚢.
Hey Anne, I appreciate the kinds words! I'm here to help in anyway that I can! @@annemorency3317
@@livingsoflo Thank you. Have a safe, healthy and enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday💫
@@annemorency3317 Thank you, you do the same!
@@livingsoflo Thanks🍂
I can relate as I grew up in Chicago and the winters where just too long, cold and dreary. I wake up every day now in Ft. Lauderdale, saying I love it here and I love my new home!
Exactly my point! It's a whole new way of living!
I hate living here 15 minutes outside of Chicago. It sucks. We just spent new years and first two weeks of year in Fort Lauderdale. It was AMAZING
crazy I'm live in chicago now born & raised...I'm a filmmaker/photogrpaher thinking about headed that wayman i hate this cold so much
@@livingsoflo I love it in Fort Lauderdale . Paradise especially in winter!
Fort Lauderdale is great compared to other Florida cities. You get the perks of it being a big city. But it's not excessively big like Miami or Orlando.
I agree with you 100% thats exactly why I moved here instead of Miami! I like to think its a happy medium! Thanks for watching!
I'm in Miami lmao you're what? Like 3 exits from Miami? Haha
Just visited at the beginning of September and also fell in love. We currently live in Montana and while Fort Lauderdale is more expensive for rent and purchasing real estate the other expenses are very comparable to where we live. What is absolutely shocking to me is the low paying jobs. I am not talking low/no skill jobs but jobs you either have to have an education to get or years of experience. I don’t understand how anyone affords to live there. Again not cost of living but low wages. We are definitely staying active in searching and absolutely going with a plan, although I admire your bravery and jumping in! Thank you for the video!
I agree! I speak about the job market alot in my videos and its true. Jobs pay half of what they paid up in NJ but the cost of housing is roughly the same if not more expensive here now. Thanks for watching. If you ever need anything I’m happy to help!
You're inspiring lots of folks who are thinking of moving to Florida, you should be proud of your accomplishments at such a young age! 👍
Thank you 🙏
just subbed admire the courage to make that leap
Happy for you! 😊
Great video!! I live in Oregon and visited Fort Lauderdale in February and fell in love! I felt like I was thriving. I visited again in August and now I’m moving in December to Pompano.
Thats awesome! Lets connect! calendly.com/donvicaro/movingtoflorida
Im moving down there in January from NYC. Just noticed your necklace🙏🏽

COngrats man ! Love to see people take risks!
Thank you! 🙏
Wow you are inspiring me to move down there for good! Mi biggest fear is I’ll miss the seasons and nyc vibe but miami has that nyc vibe
Miami is similar in some ways to NYC but its only a quick trip away. Thanks for your support!
I know im just 13. Ive visited southern florida alot. But trying to move here once I get older. But I dont live too far away im in kentucky. But thanks for the information.
awww I'm glad you moved i want leave new jersey too
Hi I am from India. My son may shift to florida next year. Good luck yo you😊
I've been following your videos for a bit now and 1/2 of this couple is retired. Schools are horrible and salaries are ridiculously low, but we don't care; home ownership is too expensive right now, which is keeping us from pulling the trigger for a couple of years. We also have one parent still alive so as long as she is still with us, we cannot move (my partner is her POA) but Broward County is calling us and we vacation there every year (December).
Florida? Nice! Me ,too.
I am looking to move to the Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, FL area sometime soon. I work at Southwest they offer relocation so I am keeping my fingers crossed that a position opens up there so I can transformer to work at Southwest in Fort Lauderdale. Looking for info on Fort Lauderdale, Broward County area.
Hey Bruce! Thats awesome. Make sure to check out my channel, my videos cover all of Broward County. If you want, you can also book a zoom call with me and I can get you any information you need! calendly.com/donvicaro/movingtoflorida
PS I used to work for Southwest also!
Would you recommend Ft. Lauderdale over Miami? I want to move to South Florida but I am not sure which area would be best
That really all depends on your specific wants/needs in an area. Im happy to have a chat with you. calendly.com/donvicaro/movingtoflorida
I moved to Miami eleven years ago I am from Bergen County New Jersey and I was born and raised in New Jersey but South Florida is great it’s just unique
Nice! What part of Bergen?

Hey my brother long time listener one day i will like to meet you in person am from New York and we have similar path cool
Awesome! Thanks for the support 🙏
Do you think the economy down there will level out in the coming years? Only thing really stopping me from packing up and moving from Texas to Florida is the expensive rent/ mortgages and low paying jobs.
That's really tough to say. I don't see the market crashing anytime soon with the way things are going. That's why I preach so much on having a plan before just making an impulse decision (like I did). If you want to talk more about it, I'm happy to! calendly.com/donvicaro/movingtoflorida
Bro I'm in the middle of moving to utah and florida 😢😢😢😢
Complete opposite ends of the spectrum
Is there a strong Italian community out there??
There is a TON of Italian restaurants out here. Few are great, most are just mediocre. You will find some Italian deli’s in Pompano but I wouldn’t expect the type of community that you would find in the northeast. m.facebook.com/littleitalyflorida/

Omg NJ is the worst place to live! one of the worst states and i live in NYC so i know
Not all of NJ is the armpit of America -- I'm down here in Burlington County and we are a Philly Suburb where there are lots of Garden State left in our part of NJ.
Thats why I'm so happy I live in sunny South Florida now!
