Björk and Rosalía are donating all their rights to income generated by this song to the AEGIS non-profit organisation to combat open pen fish farming in Iceland. Their record companies have agreed to do the same. All funds raised will support legal fees for protesters, taking action to stop the development of intensive farms that harm wildlife, deform fish, and pose risks to salmon's DNA and survival. Immediate action is crucial.

This is exactly what I thought after watching it the 1st time! Pop media accounts kept posting the release with titles like "bjork and rosalia fight each other to the end" and I was like ¿thats it?
The beauty of this conceptual video is that not only you can see it as AI/fake rosalia and bjork are created to fight each other like a simulation, but end up fighting the "system" (the camera filming) that created them.
Or it can be seen as two humans who are fighting each other for love or for a shared love, but they realize it isn't worth it, he is there watching, so they decide to fight him off lol.

    Lyrics:
    [Intro: Björk, Björk & ROSALÍA]
Your mouth floats above my bed at night
    My own private moon
    [Verse 1: ROSALÍA & Björk]
Just because the mind can make up whatever it wants
Does it mean that it'll never come true?
Won't ever happen (Just because she can)
    Please, could I change that?
    [Chorus: Björk & ROSALÍA, Björk]
Is that the right thing to do?
    Oh, I just don't know
    I just don't know
Is that the right thing to do?
    Oh, I just don't know
    I just don't know
    [Verse 2: Björk & ROSALÍA]
Let me introduce one to the other
The dream and the real, get them acquainted
    Just because she can
    Introduce
    Just because she can
    A mouth to a mouth
[Chorus: Björk & ROSALÍA, ROSALÍA, Björk]
Is that the right thing to do?
    Oh, I just don't know
    I just don't know
Is that the right thing to do?
    Oh, I j-just don't know
    I just don't know
    [Bridge: Björk, ROSALÍA, Both]
Can I just sneak up from behind
To the back of his head?
Then I lift up his hair
    And nibble ever so lightly
    That's where the hair starts
    Just because she can
Now please, can I kiss him?
    (Just because she can)
    Yo quiero besarle
    (Just because she can)
Come on, please, can I kiss him?
    (Just because she can)
    I just don't know, oh
    [Outro: Björk,Björk & ROSALÍA]
    Just because she can (Can)
    There's a line there, I can't cross it (Ooh)
    Just because she can
    There's a line there, I can't cross it (Come)
    Just because she can
    There's a line there, I can't cross it
Just because she can (Oh, it must come)
    There's a line there, I can't cross it
There's a line there, I can't cross it (Oh, just)
    There's a line there, I can't cross it (Oh)

Such a simple, but great concept for a music video. I love the way that both singers act as emotions / thoughts in conflict with each other, but at the same time rhythmically in tune with one another, eventually unifying at the end. Aesthetically, it also makes for a good visual companion to All is Full of Love with its icy, stark white futurism that still contains intimacy, matching that desire to manifest love and attraction.

I love the blatant uncanny valley feelings expressed in the visuals, it's not real, but it's real, just like hearing björk's voice again from somewhere between homogenic and vespertine-era. The way the song is structured is definitely more pop and easier to follow than most of björk's music. Rosalias voice with the background melodies and chants, and opening solo moment are divine, and bjork's belting at the end while the orchestra and beats are going wild is like being in a hurricane of joy. They really created something beautiful and accessible, but also completely surreal in all forms of presentation. I'm shocked everytime I hear it. Back to the future with this one, and the production is tight.

Usually Björk doesn't repeat herself, she has become challenging what I also like. „Oral“ is a rare gift that won‘t happen any time soon. Her singing. Easier access. More pop as she used to be in post era.

I love everything about this, the song, the video, the profits going to a good cause. Björk is such a treasure. I also love how versatile Rosalía is.
I have so much respect for my experimental queens 👸

@@supersonic8071 I appreciate the theme of female solidarity in it the most. The application of de-aging AI makes sense once you realize their voices were the same age in the song, so I don’t mind

@@supersonic8071 wow someone’s salty lol. I mean yes there’s the deep fake but those stunt doubles were obviously real. Plus Bjork is no stranger to working with mix media to produce videos as experimental as her music. AI art is still in its infant stage but it’s still an art that requires people that knows how to utilize it. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.

The whole video is fake and it’s AI, even when both of them doing the fights. even i don’t like her music anymore, the fact is a fact if u can’t accept it then fuck off
