Every song she writes and sings is a work of art, every music video is an experimental adventure into what is possible when you combine imagination and technology, every outfit and hairdo is cutting edge art fashion - for me my top three artists/ performers have always been PRINCE MADONNA AND BJORK - her voice blew me away in Radio City Music Hall - phenomenal and wild and pure as this Planet Earth we live on - she’s the most talented genius experimental artist singer I have ever encountered - ONE IN EIGHT BILLION AND IN A LEAGUE OF HER OWN!!!

One thing I have always loved about Björk is that she has never held back. She has always been free with her art form. Never afraid to be herself, and never cared what anyone thought. She has also always been way before her time. This is one of my favorite music videos by Björk.

    • @neckroteddy
      @neckroteddy 5 лет назад +5

@@crazymonkey1545 yes and no, for example I vaguely remember reading once that she doesn't "play"/"perform" (can't remember which one) the songs, because she is not acting, she is living the songs. And Biophilia has very artistic songs with "strange" or "unusual" topics, just like Mutual Core is "a metaphor for human relationships, compared to the structure of the Earth and Plate tectonics".
So when she does this live, it feels (at least to me) like she is dancing kind of electronic music mixed with latino music. But you can see a good example of what I mean by searching the song on the Vulnicura Live tour, there are assembled videos of the tour on RUclips.
On the Björk Digital Mexico exhibition she did a DJ Set and used mexican music like "salsa", and she was dancing like she does with Mutual Core. It was amazing.

From the time she walked on stage dressed as a swan until now, I would say she’s the most creative, authentic visual artist I’ve ever seen. She is truly an artist and she weaves the visual with her excellent song writing to get her message across. This video was brilliant and caught my attention and kept it there until the video was over. 🎵🎼🎶❤️

Luv the EBM-ish harsh beats while a surprising eruption obliterates its somewhat antipode: seemly expected stagnation. Then, no Frau Björk, I didn't know, and better than that, show me (us) more of it. Seems Cocoon's tentacles couldn't grasp it firmly enough. High time to rip the world apart now, and perhaps one day he (and the rest of us) will get it.
    Outstanding song by the way.

"Can you hear the effort?" - non-compliance
I shuffle around the tectonic plates in my chest
You know I gave it all try to match our continents
To change seasonal shift to form a mutual core
As fast as your fingernail grows the Atlantic ridge drifts
To counteract distance, you know I gave it all
Can you hear the effort of the magnetic strife?
Shuffling of columns to form a mutual core
    This eruption undoes stagnation
You didn't know I had it in me
Withheld your love, an unspent capsule
I didn't know you had it in you
You hid the key to our continuity
I didn't know you had it in you
    This eruption undoes stagnation
You didn't know, you didn't know
What you resist persists, nuance makes heat
To counteract distance, I know you gave it all
Offered me harmony if things were done your way
My Eurasian plate subsumed forming a mutual core
    This eruption undoes stagnation
You didn't know I had it in me
Withheld your love, an unspent capsule
I didn't know you had it in you
You hid the key to our continuity
I didn't know you had it in you
    This eruption undoes stagnation
    You didn't know
    You didn't know
    And so...
