People seem to kinda remember Björk albums as trios, Debut/Post/Homogenic are the most remembered and talked about but in my opinion nothing beats Vespertine/Medúlla/Volta. It truly is Björk's holy trinity

@@gamingwithortix5740 it's easy to say "each their own" when 99% of the artists popularized today are commercialized projections of themselves. I think Grimes may be the only artist on Bjork's level today. It's a weird situation.
Celestial she is. Fast. Unstoppable. Exploding into speed, hard and quick shattered to bits by burn in a shrill deafening sound. A shooting star her flesh, the end pieces to litter, cords roaring in the air, cast as dust for the wind. Time remaining by Elyon decree grounded by roots. A good mans daughter. Celestial she is.
That one will stay in my brain for a long time. She has been pulling off long term memory branding for over 20 years. Her old stuff is still stuck in there from back when I was a kid.
I'm surprised that I'm not the only one who noticed that the video game "Patapon" was obviously inspired by Bjork's Earth Intruders music video. I use to watch her video a lot back in 2007, & then a year later in 2008 the video game "Patapon" was released. When I watched the trailers & gameplay from Patapon, my first reaction was "Hmm... why does this game look & sounds so similar to Bjork's Earth Intruders video?" =/
Nah, Patapon couldn't have been made that quickly. The director of this *did* do a lot of silhouette cartoons, though. Maybe Patapon was inspired by them.
She is not a real musician, I too enjoy this song, but when you hear the rest of her work, I'm not a fan -nor do i find any real skill in any of it. This song was good, NOT GREAT but good. Wish she would do more like it. dont think she has it in her. Who ever composed and directed this cut needs to be called a talent, but I can guarantee, its not her !
Ian Anderson she actually is a real musician, and this is among her weakest songs - although it is among the most accessible. She’s worked in the music industry as a singer and composer since the late 70s- not sure what you constitute as a musician, but she’s pretty much the textbook definition. I understand much of her music is difficult for most people to listen to because it is unconventional. Her singing isn’t great which doesn’t help, but her composition skills are absolutely incredible and she has created a few albums at this point which are masterpieces. Any musician with a good ear will be able to appreciate the odd things she does in her music. I’m not even a huge fanboy, but your comment was ludicrous.
I first heard this song out of fucking nowhere at the casino I work at and the video unnerved me. Ive listened to it at least once everyday for the last few weeks. Its grown on me
Any video that can shock me with it's creativity, is the work of someone who deserves recognition. And that's exactly what I'm doing right now. Bjork, you are AMAZING. This is impeccable. I LOVE IT!!
People are stupid to compare anyone to someone else…we are ALL individuals!!! If you happen to love Björk, then you’re extra fucking cool. She’s an extra special individual😆👊💥💓
When I first heard this, during her SNL appearance, I didn't get it, it went over my head. I heard it later, and got it. Same as with Devo, I saw their debut on SNL and was horrified, later became a huge fan. Sometimes it takes a little while for brilliance to sink in.

One of the most underrated tracks to ever be released, Bjork is from another planet
Literally, she realizes where her and her "people" are from.

Apparently. Otherwise, we wouldn't be earth intruders.
You're right
It's so true. This is our anthem!
Her voice is incredibly beautiful. Her love for ethnicity and culture is what i love about her. Her and timbaland were an incredible team

Back when it came out, the view count was relatively high. Now, this is surprisingly underrated in the age of billions.
*So powerful*
This song is incredible, innovative and so effing catchy. I have loved Bjork for years and I will continue to look forward to her projects!
It sucks that some people don't have ö or ä on the keyboard
It was written and produced by Danja (Britney Blackout), with additional production by Timberland and Bjork
Dynamic
