she is a rainbow warrior, hence the artwork for the album. rainbow warriors, healing earth, restoring it back to nature. “shower of goodness, coming to end the doubt, pouring over...coming to earth” and to do this all while “what is to do, but dig, dig bones out of earth.” - powerful explaining that it is a “beast with many heads” refers to those in power that are doing the hurting earth. she ultimately is aware.

    Celestial she is.
    Fast. Unstoppable.
    Exploding into speed,
    hard and quick
    shattered to bits by burn
    in a shrill deafening sound.
    A shooting star her flesh,
    the end pieces to litter,
    cords roaring in the air,
cast as dust for the wind.
    Time remaining by Elyon decree
    grounded by roots.
    A good mans daughter.
    Celestial she is.

I'm surprised that I'm not the only one who noticed that the video game "Patapon" was obviously inspired by Bjork's Earth Intruders music video. I use to watch her video a lot back in 2007, & then a year later in 2008 the video game "Patapon" was released. When I watched the trailers & gameplay from Patapon, my first reaction was "Hmm... why does this game look & sounds so similar to Bjork's Earth Intruders video?" =/

    • @IanAnderson777
      @IanAnderson777 6 лет назад +1

She is not a real musician, I too enjoy this song, but when you hear the rest of her work, I'm not a fan -nor do i find any real skill in any of it. This song was good, NOT GREAT but good. Wish she would do more like it. dont think she has it in her. Who ever composed and directed this cut needs to be called a talent, but I can guarantee, its not her !

    • @joshuajackson4742
      @joshuajackson4742 4 года назад +11

Ian Anderson she actually is a real musician, and this is among her weakest songs - although it is among the most accessible. She’s worked in the music industry as a singer and composer since the late 70s- not sure what you constitute as a musician, but she’s pretty much the textbook definition. I understand much of her music is difficult for most people to listen to because it is unconventional. Her singing isn’t great which doesn’t help, but her composition skills are absolutely incredible and she has created a few albums at this point which are masterpieces. Any musician with a good ear will be able to appreciate the odd things she does in her music. I’m not even a huge fanboy, but your comment was ludicrous.

    Chorus 1]
    We are the earth intruders
    We are the earth intruders
    Muddy with twigs and branches
    [Pre-Chorus 1]
    Turmoil!
    Carnage!
    [Chorus 2]
    Here come the earth intruders
    We are the paratroopers
    Stampede of sharp shooters
    Come straight from voodoo
    [Verse 1]
    With our feet thumping
    With our feet marching
    Grinding skeptics
    Into the soil
    [Pre-Chorus 2]
    Shower of goodness coming to
    End the doubt pouring over
Shower of goodness coming to end
    [Chorus 3]
    We are the earth intruders
    We are the sharp shooters
    Flock of parachuters
    Necessary voodoo
    [Bridge]
I have guided my bones through some voltage
    And love them still
    And love them too
    [Pre-Chorus 3]
    Metallic!
    Carnage!
    Furiocity!
    Feel the speed!
    [Chorus 3]
    We are the earth intruders
    We are the sharp shooters
    Flock of parachuters
    Necessary voodoo
    [Verse 2]
    There is turmoil out there
    Carnage, rambling
What is to do but dig
    Dig bones out of earth
    [Pre-Chorus 4]
    Mud graves!
    Timber!
    Morbid trenches!
    [Chorus 4]
    Here come the earth intruders
    There'll be no resistance
    We are the canoneerers
    Necessary voodoo
    [Verse 3]
    And the beast
    With many heads
    And the arms rolling
    Steamroller!
    [Chorus 1]
    We are the earth intruders
    We are the earth intruders
    Muddy with twigs and branches
    [Outro]
    Forgive us, tribe
    We are the earth intruders
    We are the earth intruders
    Muddy with twigs and branches
    We are the earth intruders
    Muddy with twigs and branches
    We are the earth intruders
    We are the earth intruders
    Muddy with twigs and branches
    Marching
    We are the earth intruders
    Muddy with twigs and branches
    Marching
    Marching
    Marching
    Marching
    [Outro]

Bjork really should get together with Goat. What a collaboration that would be...

Thank you, MTV Russia, that didn't forget to have a casting of this song in 2007, when Bjork had already been far from mainstream tv-music.
Since I heard this one in an absolutely occasional minute of my life, from TV, I made a decision to buy Volta album not even knowing what this artist and what this tape were about. Never a time regret till then. :))) One humble but big and cute Bjork's fan.
