Visually exquisite, as usual for an alien-god like Bjork. But this time, I have to say.... those lyrics. FUCK. Raw, hurtful, stinging, burning. And above all deeply humane. Only Bjork can make you feel her wounds as our wounds. Thank you for your existence Bjork, you will always be a prime primordial.

A part of me believes Bjork is an alien/other being Fifth Element like and when the aliens/beings/powers come to destroy the earth, she'll save us all somehow.
I think part of the reason Bjork never really broke it mainstream is that you kind of need to be a musician of some sort (any instrument) to truly appreciate the complexity and nuances in her compositions. Bjork doesn't just compose new music, she invents new music, and every bit of it is awesome. I have been a fan for ~30 years and she never disappoints. She is the music equivalent to cutting edge theoretical mathematics of physics, if that makes any sense...
I played flute (band..for fun, haven't had one in years), dad played guitar, always heard music..discovered her about 3 years ago on youtube.."Wonderlust" was the song that drew me in.. and I became obsessed with her and learning about Iceland..it is nothing like anything I've heard..a mix of classical, folk/story song, progressive rock, universal consciousness, Indian, Asian/oriental, alien, code, spirituality... wow.. 😐
@ElloJello Yes, knowing how to play at least one instrument gives you depth in sound appreciation. But knowing how to play an instrument is not enough to be a good composer: you need to have the soul of an artist. :) Yes, in other arts is very similar. Understanding tools is useful, but it will not make you a great artist, just a great music understander. The soul of the artist is something hard to define, but I believe it is also the substance of artwork. So, if made with the soul, the art can be alive itself.
Good comment but I am not a musician and I really appreciate her music, I think you need to have some kind of weirdness, mystery or whatever inside of u to connect with her

Yet again we are educated about the constant flux of musicality. If you want 4.4 timing and rules listen to Coldplay, if you want to expand your consciousness, open your mind and enjoy! Love light and peace to you all.
Björk rarely writes in 4:4 that's what makes her almost unique amongst modern composers and hugely respected in the world of classical music. Read Nicola Dibben's (professor of music at Sheffield university )book 'Björk' This is not in 4:4, sounds to me like it's going from 3:4 to 5:4 which are her favored signatures. Listen who really cares? You love it or you don't. I looove it!
Jelly4972 I love it too, it just seems weird to associate some sort of superiority to odd time signatures or "breaking the rules" (which odd time signatures are not). Lots of experimental or interesting artist work in typical "pop formats" but just dress it up a lot. Lots of artist don't. Music is music man.
Joseph molina. Moon from Biophilia was in a 17:8 time name another artist that's even close to a groundbreaking gamble like that. You thought Notget was in 4:4 which it clearly isn't. Do you actually know anything about time in music? I'll agree there are other artists that break the normal rules with regards to time but none do it in quite the fashion Björk does. Most people when they listen to music don't think about the time the music is set in but it's hugely significant on whether music is liked or not. People without knowing it feel more comfortable with a 4:4 beat anything that breaks the norm is sometimes hard to process.
+Jelly4972 Biffy Clyro's "Different People" is in 15/8 (after the intro), "Spanish Radio" by them is in 5/4, both are pretty pop-ish tracks. On the other hand, "Tomorrow Never Knows", at the time a radically experimental track, is in 4/4. I'm a big fan of Progressive Rock, so odd time signatures are entirely up my alley (Dream Theater's "Dance Of Eternety has 108 time signature changes in under 7 minutes), but they are in no way superior to the usual time signatures.

This entire album is what has saved me from the barren death of heartbreak. This love, even after a relationship has ended, that somehow only grows stronger is what saves me. Especially songs like Lionsong, Black Lake, and Notget, I’ve never felt songs more specific to my experience than those. Thank you Björk. You inspire me to metamorphose my pain into love
I like the absence of the eternal duality imagery used in every pop star musci video, good girl gone bad is a tired topic. Instead with bjork you feel like you experience life as it really is, a mashup of organic toughts and feelings that finds a direction for some reason!
The cinematography in this is just stunning, but what else can you expect from Björk? Her visuals are always so creative and beautiful. I just listened to Vulnicura for the first time and I have to admit I have trouble getting into the second half of the album because it gets much more messy, but I really appreciate what she does and watching this video I can feel it's already growing on me!
I've just stumbled upon her for a few days and all I can say, I respect this woman a lot. The way she creates her pieces are truly out of this world. I would say she's probably the only musician that can really translate human's complexity of emotions and thought process really well.
here's the 2nd 'notget' official 'vulnicura' music video, and it's visually stunning !! 9+masterfully perfect, directed by warren du preez, + nick thornton jones.

this is incredible....she is always a step forward, searchin for new ways to express her talent, connecting herslef to all elements of nature.... love her
The visionary goddess of our generation. This is so visually emotional, yet so stunning. 💗
3:16 - 3:42 visual orgasm
warren du preez and nick thornton always create breathtaking environment for their videoclips. I hope bjork will colaborate with them and andrew huang more in future.
Instead with bjork you feel like you experience life as it really is, a mashup of organic toughts and feelings that finds a direction for some reason!
is she the queen xenomorph?
hahahahhahhah, she is the woman of an engineer
YES YES SHE IS
She’s my queen xenomorph
Cancer Mom Allien of Ocean , Dark Maripose , Vagine Vênus demon Woman (Lilith) Astarate , Hatar , Ísis!
She 's the queen, final point.
Final Fantasy Boss confirm
When she says DEATH
dimierre evans ITS DEATH
Amazing thing about björk, her music grows on you.. Just get better and better for every time you listen..
Vulnicura is such a masterpiece
I'm scared, she's the best singer I've ever seen
Liz Fraser from Cocteau twins is a goddess as well
She's the reason why I still have faith in music.
Eduard Fernando Pinzón really? that's sad man. there's many great musicians beside bjork.
i don't think is sad. it's just Everything sounds the same to me.
Go check: Arca, Deathgrips, Vulfpeck, Burial, Jagwar Ma
maybe you have a very basic knowledge in music
I listen to mainstream music (even if it's generic) and this deep music
Best vid of the Vulnicura era
this whole frucking album is beautifully chaotic
Trey Dog Whistle who said it wrong
What can you say in front of such work of art.... Sometimes hard to understand, always unique.. Björk is a real Gift to the Music World
The cinematography in this is just stunning, but what else can you expect from Björk? Her visuals are always so creative and beautiful.
I just listened to Vulnicura for the first time and I have to admit I have trouble getting into the second half of the album because it gets much more messy, but I really appreciate what she does and watching this video I can feel it's already growing on me!
I WAS WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS AND I LOVE IT
She turned into immortal medusa (Turritopsis dohrnii) at the end showing heart with her arms in red sleeves ! Great! So, so Great! ♥
2019 and still totally astound by this masterpiece....
this is mindblowing and overflowing and its sickeningly lovely
Just wanted to comment how much i love this video and your music Björk ❤
This is amazing. Simply amazing
sublime! what is she going to do next? reborn?
Lia Tonicher Become the first Immortal
@@ZeRoRuLeS561 love made her immortal
GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS‼️
Artistry, passion, talent, imagination, all beautifully weaved and showcased in Björk’s work. Amazing.
I've just stumbled upon her for a few days and all I can say, I respect this woman a lot. The way she creates her pieces are truly out of this world. I would say she's probably the only musician that can really translate human's complexity of emotions and thought process really well.
Islandeusa Diva Masterpiece!
The cinematography in this masterpiece has without a doubt made me...lose my lunch.
here's the 2nd 'notget' official 'vulnicura' music video, and it's visually stunning !! 9+masterfully perfect, directed by warren du preez, + nick thornton jones.
This video is SOOO HYPNOTIZING!!!
I love it
Amazing, thank you for your beautiful work
And people said that Lady Gaga was creative with her costumes. Please.
Again. A commentary that compares and pits two female artists against each other. Unnecessary.
@@lux6058 Worthy of comparison, since Gag-a is said to be so creative with fashion.
Once you fell out of love
Our love couldn't carry you
And I didn't even notice
For our love kept me safe from death
You doubted the light
And the shelter it can give
For in love we are immortal
Eternal and safe from death
If I regret us
I'm denying my soul to grow
Don't remove my pain
It is my chance to heal
We carry the same wound
But have different cures
Similar injuries
But opposite remedies
After our love ended
Your arms don't carry me
Without love I feel the abyss
Understand your fear of death
I will not forget
This notget
Will you not regret
Having love let go?
After our love ended
Your spirit entered me
Now we are the guardians
We'll keep her safe from death
Love will keep us safe from death
Love will keep us safe from death
Love will keep us safe from death
Safe, safe from...
Love will keep us safe from death
Love will keep us safe from death
Love will keep us safe from death
Love will keep us safe from death
para mi Arte es todo aquello que despierta una emoción, esta mujer de todas las maneras interpretativas es ARTE !!!
Uno dei più sontuosi, articolati, emozionanti brani di Bjork. Partitura straordinaria, elettroarchitettura pura!
I can feel the pain in her voice. This song always makes my eyes water.
God: "I will answer one question my son. Ask".
Me: "What is Bjork?"
God: "Er..... you'd have to ask her.... and uh....could you let me know what she says?"
😂😂😂😂👌
Who is Bjork?
Bjork is god.
You are God
I am a God.
Everyone is God.
@@iMikkeysat sounds like something God would say in the absence of a real answer from Bjork herself ;)
@@iMikkeysat Shalom ultraviolence. God cannot sin, there is no darkness in Him..........would you claim the same?
There is no such thing as sin. It came up with Religions to control the minds of people. That people would feel bad because of the hard and stubborn rules of their humorless gods. Instead of sin, there is ignorance which changes with compassion and wisdom along with life experience. Which teaches us to act and treat others as ourselves. Peace with you my friend 🤙
Björk....new album pls
3:30 why is this part so glorious
After years i still love this track so much, thank you björk❤️
Pure Art and Inspiration! What an incredible artist! She has not received the recognition she deserves but again I don't think she cares about that! Sacred woman share your eyes with us!
