  • Kirk Cousins has been an NFL quarterback for 12 years. Before that he played at Michigan State (where he and Kevin met). Before that he was a barely-recruited teenager playing at Holland Christian. And before that, he was a kid in Chicago whose dad helped start Willow Creek (yes, that Willow Creek). If you want to know more of this story, and hear a lot of football talk, you won't want to miss this special LBE episode with the new Atlanta Falcons QB.

I learned a lot more about Mr. Cousins from the QB documentary on Netflix and have been following him since. Seems like such a good dude

"6th choice"... I had no idea. Well Kirk Cousins was no doubt the best 6th choice the Spartans ever made!
Kirk, Scottie Scheffler, Clayton Kershaw, Paul Goldschmidt, (and now given recent events, Harrison Butker) are notable Christian athletes I definitely root for on the playing field.👍

I love football as much as anyone. I love Kevin too, but I was hoping there would be some discussion of the Lord's Day, particularly given the all-encompassing commercial aspects of the NFL.

I noticed this as well. I’d be interested to hear DeYoung’s opinion on this matter; as a sabbatarian, would he counsel all professional athletes not to work on Sunday, since they are not performing acts of mercy or necessity?

So what do you guys think of Harrison Butker's recent commencement address which seems to have much of secular culture and left-wing media outlets up at arms?

EVERYTHING they say about Kirk is a lie. In the playoffs he has played the same as Joe Burrow but Burrow defenses allow 18 ppg and get 13 turnovers and Kirk's defenses allow 28 ppg and get 0 turnovers. He also plays the same as Burrow in the regular season. Kirk in Primetime is Top 10 since 2014 ahead of QBs like Luck Rivers even Brady.

    J. J. McCarthy won at Michigan (Go Blue!) and now he’s going to win in beautiful high quality living, Minnesota.
Also a huge fan of Michael Penix Junior.

Kirk was the first MSU starting quarterback to win three-straight games over the Michigan Wolverines.
