  • If you ever wanted to be in the room as two minister friends talk about preaching and pastoral ministry, this is the episode for you. Kevin asks Alistair about his “ordinary” preaching style, about whether he ever thought about leaving Parkside, and about whether he’s an American or a Scotsman. Plus lots of other questions about books, the state of the church today, and the shaping influence of Cleveland.

Enjoyed your discussion very much. Thank you for talking with Alistair. God has certainly used Pastor Begg’s preaching to build me up in the faith. I thank God for truth for life and Parkside’s livestream services, which always hold high the scriptures and focus our attention on Christ and His finished work for us. God bless you brothers.

Thanks for this, Kevin. One of my most enjoyable hours in a long time. What a privilege to be a “fly-on-the-wall”, while two of the finest reformed preachers in our time just talk with each other. I’m sharing this with pastor friends!

What a real treat to listen in on 2 of my favorites in conversation here. Alistair's Truth for Life along with John MacArthur's Grace to You radio ministries, then eventually Kevin's Christ Covenant sermon podcasts and blogs have been instrumental in my personal transformation toward a pursuit of holiness. The Holy Spirit used these forums to eventually open my eyes to my blind spots, with a better self-awareness to steer me away from cultural strongholds that were pulling me in the wrong direction.
*Incidentally, I typically listen via Google Podcast, but I wonder why this is filed under the Clearly Reformed channel rather than the LBE channel?

    To melodramatic.
