I just bought one these! Same exact model and same color, too! I was thinking one in blue but I think the black shows up better with white. The only other color that the black trim shows up nice with on this model is red. The salesman told me that white is a car color that will always be popular. This car is statistically #1 in safety as compacts go. The interior seats on mine are black but all the rest is the same. Ever since I first test drove a Dart, I wanted one, REALLY BAD! I like this a lot better than the Ford Focus.
The regular 2016 Civic will have a 1.5 liter Turbo that has about 174HP, so close to the HP (184) and torque (174) of the 2.4L Tigershark.. Dodge Dart has competition now! And will likely weigh less, since the Dart weighs about 3,050 pounds. Moving to more expensive though more efficient cars, The 2016 Prius has more HP too (likely about 150HP) and will likely accelerate very quickly off the line thanks to the electric motors starting it off. Not to mention ~55-60MPG! 2016 Chevy Volt is fast too (150HP fully electric acceleration).
+danwat1234 Yeah but civics are generally heavy for small cars as well. EX civics are right a 3000 lbs. And Toyota has sacrificed safety for function over the last decade or so. They used to get good(highest crash rating) all the time, now corollas and scamrys get acceptable and marginal at best.
I hear that the 1.4L engine Dodge Dart's have a lot of problems with the engine, transmission and electrical. I have some videos about it here on youtube. Luckily I just bought the 2013 Dodge Dart SXT 2.0L model on December 22,2015 instead of the 1.4L turbo model. I sure hope I don't run into any problems with my Dodge Dart.
I'm sure it has been mentioned, but they should turbo charge that bad boy. Make a new Srt4. I had an 05 Srt4, and running 14psi, it made 240hp. I think this tiger shark motor is close and its normally aspirated.
@@edgarcastaneda4336 got my 2014 dodge dart gt last year and I haven't had no trouble with it nothing has broken. I would say it's small but hey its fully loaded. Has the power fun to drive in. People think it's a brand nee car still
Flats do occur under certain circumstances (blow outs), what good is an air pump going to do for you. A standard spare tire comes in handier, just talked me out of the DD.
+Leroy Butts Actually, I've learn the GT is calibrated to shift closer to redline during hard acceleration & has a 3.51 final drive ratio vs a 3.29 for the SXT. GT is much firmer riding & quicker steering. I'd get the GT if I had the money.
@@sloth_guy3691 I bought a 2016 SXT w/2.4L engine. I upgraded the tires (1 size wider) and add a rear sway bar. Loving it. Only regret, no touch screen.

Good review, I really love this car a lot. I'm extremely glad they are bring the SRT brand to the 2017 model
This didn't age well lmao

Well don’t I have news to tell you 💀
I like how the dash lights up
I wish someone would take this thing to a track like Willow Springs & show what it can do !!
Hi, responding to this 8 years later, it’s been done
I’m thinking of buying one a pre owned it’s the same but in red it looks awesome
But it’s a 2016
Fun fact: the came with 6spd standard, automatic was optional.
nice lil car
I owned a 1970 Dodge Dart . Slant 6 motor. Could do 125 miles an hour.
Compact cars have compact rear seating. I was hoping this was better received. I really thought the Euro influence was just what our small car needed.
Thinking of buying one of these used. Any idea about the reliability and performance of the car; will it last a long time?
i got a used 2014 sxt rallye with 75000 miles only problem i've had so far was replaced a wheel bearing runs great
@@fredlewis30 how’s it running now??
After you have had...whats your opinion on it now
Just bought a 2014 Dart Rallye. It has navigation but it is becoming impossible to figure out how to update maps.
This car is already mine. By the end of 2023!

No under passenger seat storage or illuminated cup holders?? Glad I have a '13.

Any problems yet??
thats not just an sxt with the rallye package its got the blacktop package.... as of right now they are rare.
Really? Because I just bought one that looks exactly like the one in this video. I gotta say, this is a DAMN GOOD CAR!

Is there any difference between rallye and sxt?
The SE with the Rallye appearance package is different, I have the 17 inch rims, all the black trim that’s pretty much it
I might be getting a 2010 version of this for my first car. Is this a good starter car?
I mean 2013.
SaturnIV4 I think so. My customers have been satisfied with them.
MikesCarInfo ok thanks
SaturnIV4 I'm looking at buying a 2015 DOdge dart SXT Rallye package, test drove it and loved it, so i want it so bad lol
SaturnIV4 i'm thinking of getting the 2013 for my first car too, probably in three months, gota save up for that down payment. best of luck !!!
I had the 2013, I think the turbo version is better. Not a super fast car but, was still fun.
the turbo has a shitty 1.4l engine, built for a car half it's size. It is by no means better. Slap a turbo on the 2.4 then were talking.
Oh! i thought this was the 2015 Dodge Charger^^ which sucks. Nice review keep em coming
Is this a reliable car ?

A spare is optional. Or pick one up at a salvage yard or Ebay for under $20.
can you not afford to find your own spare tire? Just go rip one off at your local junk yard. Super cheap.

Opens the hood... what am I looking at? Plastic!
haha !!
Leroy Butts yea for protection somehow
Does anyone know how the 2.4 engine is calibrated compared to the GT model?
it's the same engine. The GT just has some fancier stuff and a GT badge. Not worth the extra money.
