The charged red team added some typings to Pokémon, like the Oddish and Cherubi fusion gaining the fairy typing. Probably because ice/poison is a cooler typing than water/poison.

I think if he does do a shiny only run again on this game he should do it with either water or fire only with the more recent rom since it does change some things including gym leaders I think.
Always think the fusion rom hacks are cool but a lot more thought needs to be put into some of these. for example 2 of the starters give you type pairings that already exist for the fused pokemon. I.E Paras+Bulbasaur is going to give you bug/grass which paras already is and same for the mudkip/slowpoke fusion. you either get water/ground or water/physic which they already respectively are. Just my opinion though.
Last time i downloaded Pokemon infinite and during the process to intall the game, all the Pokemon image with their whole fussion get into my image and got filled with Pokemon image atleast 2 lakh picture was there in my phone full of Pokemon and their fussion
