My daughters, grand children and one daughter’s mother in law spent Mother”s Day weekend in Amelia Island. We stayed in a hotel in Fernandina but spent the beach day at American Beach. We loved it! Unspoiled, peaceful and built memories collecting sea shells with my 3 year old grandson. I live in Jax and make frequent trips to the area.
Totally enjoyed this video. As I've said before, you have a great voice that makes your presentation even better! And your photographer, well, she is the best! Your Lakeland videos are the reason we are going there next week. You've showed us parts of beautiful Florida that we didn't know existed 🏆🦩
When I was a kid in the 1960s, my family used to erect our tents at the campground at Fort Clinch State Park. Next time I visit I may get to see the Star Trek sets in Kingsland GA.
I love Amelia island, best time of my life. The whole area, yulee, fernandina, all are awesome. Indeed, it is the best of Florida and I want it to stay a secret so no one can mess it up?
Chad your content is incredible. I’ve learned so much from your videos and where to go and I have been in Florida most of my life!! Had no idea about some of these places! Thank you Chad!!
Great Video! I would add a segment on the South end of the island as well. It obviously has a whole different vibe, more great restaurants, shops, art studios, and historic American Beach.
Nice tour. My wife and I visit as much as we can, since we live in Jacksonville. Jacksonville is not so interesting. But you might like Neptune Beach with a nice selection of restaurants, a block from the beach. San Marco and River Side are also worth a visit. Both close to downtown which you should avoid. But Amelia Island is the Gem. Try breakfast at Beach Diner on Amelia.
We love Neptune Beach, San Marco and Riverside. We have videos in our library from the different Jax neighborhoods. Every so often, we make a trip downtown to visit Sweet Pete’s. Great tips Anthony! Thanks.
Thanks for sharing I never been there there and we live fla, im planning camping in talbot state park there bike 🚴 is trail to Fernandina, thanks again for excellent information as always 🙏
Stop in at Amelia’s Fine Jewelry on Center Street if you would like to own a piece of real treasure. There are shipwreck coins and ancient coins available along with antique and estate jewelry.
Peter's point And Scott road have access to drive. There are some other spots as well. I don't recall seeing too many motorcycles though? But I'm also just walking my dog all the time and not paying too much attention to it.
@@tamiwalter170 there’s a guard at peters point I think, I can ask there. Or drive up on the beach from Scott rd and apologize if not allowed! Thanks, tami
@@take5th Scott rd has a guard shack as well. Idt I have seen motorcycles before. Ik the sand is really soft and heavy at the beginning parts, idk if you could even get one past that part very easy? I just came from there an hour ago ☺️
Obviously one thing you must do in Fernandina is cut all the trees down and pave over paradise and create more traffic. Because that's what's happening. I'm 6th generation and all my ancestors are turning in their graves.
That area is one of the most depressing and hideous looking places, not only in Florida…but all up the East coast. Cannot conceive of anyone seeing it any different.
My husband and I go to Amelia Island every year and we love lt.
I work there everyday 😂
There’s one thing that’s missing: Buy some peanuts from Felix and listen to him play you a song on his harmonica.
My husband and I were married on the beach at Peter’s Point.
I Love my little
Island.
I work for the city of Fernandina
I was born & raised in Fernandina I was there for my aunt funeral 2 weeks ago show missed home❤❤❤❤❤

Another great video!
Thx!
Living in Callahan and Loving Amelia and Fernandina. I was raised in Jax. I know the area well!
This video came just in time. Trying to plan my bday weekend for a quick getaway. Thank you for sharing. 😁
Great video, very well-made! And you have a great voice for narration :)
Thanks!
Wonderful Job you did describing the Island! Born, raised in Old Town, and still live in town.
Thank you!
great.....can't wait to visit

Thanks Fran! Have a good time in Lakeland!
Love that flag at the fort.
Yes, so impressive to see it flying in-person
I go to Amelia island in a few weeks for my yearly vacay there😆 my dad and I love fishing there and getting ice cream downtown

Me gusta mucho este lugar es muy especial

What was the point of the question mark?
Only a fool could think that area is nice. It is ugly as sin and full of every cut throat and reject from up and down the coast.
Chad your content is incredible. I’ve learned so much from your videos and where to go and I have been in Florida most of my life!! Had no idea about some of these places! Thank you Chad!!
That’s awesome Michael! Thank you for your support!!
You can also horseback ride on the beach. Great video!
Very interesting and I learned a lot too❤️😄
Thanks Jackie!
Why does the town I work for look better on the video than it does in person 😂
Thank you, that was great!!!
Thx Carolyn!
There is a wonderful public golf course and don't forget Amelia Island Plantation. Also the restaurant SALT.
Great video thanks for sharing. Next time check out the lighthouse there. I think it’s one of the oldest in Florida

You forgot to mention Denucci's for ice cream! Family owned and love it!
We’ve been there a couple of times. We’ll be sure to feature it next time. Thx for the suggestion!
They’re my favorite! My kids always got Banana Dudes but I love the whipped Done pineapple.
I love Fort Clinch, got married on the beach there!💜
Cat houses! Nice wording!

It’s weird seeing one of these for a place I grew up 30 minutes away from XD
I lived here for a while and i didnt know a bunch of history
of the island

Check out the Florida house it is supposed to be very haunted
The Palace is haunted by an old saloonkeeper named Charlie. 😊
💜
If you have a 4x4, gotta drive on the beach.
I do and I heard about that. When I get back there for sure. I just came back from JeepBeach… it was amazing
That won’t last if our County Commissioners have anything to do with it. Selling off Fernandina is their favorite pastimes.
@@lorenarucker1811 that’s a shame to hear
Can only drive on the beach if you're a resident or property owner !
@@Gromble_Sir looks like I’m out
Born and raised. RUclips is fine but stop moving here 8)
Go fishing! The speckled trout, flounder, red and black drum fishing in the river is usually pretty good.
For some reason RUclips will only with it in 480p.
Thank you for this video! I posted it on my Facebook page for AmeliaIslandOceanfront.
Thank you Carleen!

Unfortunately you can't 😔 I'm a guard at Scott's Rd but also a bike enthusiast and believe me, I've tried 😆
When you attempt it please post a video 🤣
I sent you an email this morning. I hope you will reply.
