I know at least some of the main sources of my perfectionism. I have for a long time. I know in my head that I can not be perfect, but In my heart and soul I feel that I must be perfect. I must be and If I am not then that means that I am a horrible person. It was not my mother's or father's intention to hurt me like this. I think that it was the only way they knew to teach. You handle our problem better than I do.

Setting a goal of "perfection" allows one to achieve a better quality product as we eventually stumble along the way. You cannot qualify ones perfectionism, when (as it everything), it changes from person to person. Some are able to reach a balance within it. And as you say, everyone chooses how they journey life. And your way is not the best way. No one's is. Saying something isn't for someone denies them te chance to explore that side of themselves they probably needed. I understand your intentions, but a spoonful of your medicine might be poison to others. Maybe ponder about possibilities a bit more begore sharing. Open your mind to what can be.
