    A lot of cities in the last 40 years have been refusing to license new parks and are shutting down older parks. Some mobile park owners don't keep up the park and it closes while others are victims of the cities closing in around them. When one park was shut down for health code and building code violations in San Antonio, TX, The mobile home owners were left trying to find new places to go. Several homes were too old to fit in the new park's building code standards. it wasn't their fault, but if I lived in a MH, I would save up for "what if" and be ready. perhaps rent some land in the country.

  • @eckankar7756

    Removing a few dozen mobile homes to build complexes for hundreds of homes weights out to be the better judgment. The anger of these few people will be replaced with the joy of a new home for hundreds of new residents in bright, new homes. Just got to weigh out what's best for the most. one mobile home or 15 floor complex on the same amount of land. I'd be angry, too, but I see the progress needed to house many where currently only housing a few.

You can STILL buy a mobile home of your own for only $100,000. That’s right, only one hundred thousand, AND that includes the land it sits on, approx. 50’x100’. Seriously, you have the Colorado River a mere walking distance away, with nine gambling casinos on the river bank across the river in Laughlin, Nevada. And we’re only 90 miles south of Vegas. Water taxi’s move people from one casino to the other, for those who don’t drive. There’s plenty of water sports (fishing, jet skies, etc.) and the best Springtime in the nation.

    This is horrific! These people PAID for their homes, their security, and they get displaced by greedy developers and city council people. These people are not trash to be discarded. Moving to a new place can be traumatic and why would they trust this developer with their security again? I realise that they had to pay space rent and have been at the mercy of the owners. But they bought their home! And they can't afford to move it! This is evil

    Welcome to America! It’s a capitalist society and when you own a building on private land, you take the risk of losing it anytime the owner decides to sell. It’s not pretty but those are the rules like it or not.

    They need to blame the owners of the parks who are selling them not the people who are buying. It’s the sellers greed.

      if you have the right to sell your home then owners of any other property have the right to sell that property.

      Why is it considered greed? Maybe they don’t want the park anymore, are tired of managing it. Maybe they want to retire, maybe they need money. Why is it always greed when someone exercises their right to do what they are entitled to do and someone else doesn’t like it?

      @@dcg590 it is ok to raise rent prices that true 8 percent a year that’s fine but we are seeing 20 to 40 percent increase in the last two years too much

    • @dcg590
      @dcg590 2 года назад +1

      @@djm1613 I agree, it’s a lot, but I’m guessing if you add up all the money that was stolen from the landlords over the last 2 years, it’s not even close. The eviction moratorium has consequences and the people making the rules do not pay those consequences do they? We do, the tax payer and people who don’t look for handouts. It sucks for sure but being property owner is a business, not charity. Unfortunately for people who rent these trailers they knew the risk, just like the landlords take the risk of renting to people.
