I am incredibly thankful for your videos! I recently discovered Schneider Retina lenses, and your excellent and detailed videos give perfect guidance on how to clean them. The trick with the cotton swab inside the aperture blades is essential! Great work - super helpful.

For any old adhesive i first try naphtha. 98 out of 100 times works great. For the last 2% i try whatever i have.
Also once, i accidentaly found on an almost century old sticky paper/fabric based tape, that vinegar did the job...:)

I’ve waited for this video for so long, I actually went ahead and serviced my two examples starting from the worst looking one, in case I F up something! They now work as intended.
Still I missed the first ‘trick’ to remove those three screws, so always nice to learn from the best.
You always talk about how difficult and time consuming would be to fully service the diaphragm, could you do it just once as a tutorial for all of us? Thanks

Would love to see a break down and clean of a 200mm 4.8. Not sure but I assume they are similar in assembly with exception of the glass.

I have this lens... just picked up an adapter to put it on my EOS. I thought it was a hood too... lol
