Bro just that 8.8 setup is like 6k. He’s probably got like 16k in just build mods. It’s not a cheap process not to mention he’s doing just the basics for a solid build, with of course desirable band parts. You can get way crazier just depends on how deep your pockets are. That’s not including labor either!
@@coynor1 $8k, I can see how - based on the remanufacturing, splitting, new parts if needed, machining, welding, not to mention material AND lathe-work for the driveshaft. And that has to be balanced too! I bet the connecting ends aren't bespoke though, just maybe their attachments to the shaft - something like a plug maybe

Yo man great video, I just wanted to recommend blacking out the mirror caps, blacking out the door handles, and maybe blacking out the roof(idk cause I like the blue on the roof too) but yeah I really think those small details would add just the right amount of black on to the build and set off the 5% tint as well! :)
3.27 is a lower number, but a higher ratio, i.e., your gears would be longer and your revs at top gear would be lower. 3.8 is a higher number, but a lower ratio, and the opposite is true. Curious why SLG recommend the higher ratio for more torque 🤔
The original bmw driveshaft was telescopic to allow for movement between the engine and the rear subframe. The new driveshaft you fitted is one piece. So is it going to work or is something going to break ?

Not sure if the 335i gets the same rear as a 335d, but those are rated at 1100ft-lbs stock. It's not the horses that mess up a rear by the torque. Since a 335i doesn't put out close to the same torque you might not need a Ford swap. If the 335i's diff is different, then the 335d's that would be a better fit.
New Jersey rust is considered a Luxury paint job where I’m from, you wanna see underneath my 05 e90 that’s lived in Germany and England all it’s life😂😂 You need a catch can for the rust, and that’s just to remove the plastic underneath😂😂😂

Most likely but you’d need a similar custom driveshaft and axels. Just look for a m-factory lsd. I’ve seen a few other 535xi or 535i on the forums running those lsds.

Rear subframe bushings should really just be upgraded to aluminum ones. They introduce no more nvh to the car

If you look at 3:50 in the video, the rubber accordion boot. There is a section that allows telescoping of the driveshaft.

a 3.27 and a 3.08 is nearly impossible to notice. A 3.55 would have been perfect.
