    I just installed one of these (I haven't test ridden it yet, I'm replacing my exhaust at the same time and am waiting on it). A couple of comments based on my install: 1) The cylinder comes with piston very retracted. Even with pre-bleeding, it takes a LOT more fluid to move the piston to contact the clutch shaft. I actually removed the slave and pre-bled it again because I wasn't getting the pressure on the leaver. Once I realized how far back the piston was compared to the factory piston, I knew it would just take a lot more fluid. A vacuum bleeder won't push out the piston, so you have to pump the leaver. 2) The pickup on the master reservoir is pretty high up so it's easy to run the reservoir dry, which means you have to start all over again. 3) The tube you sent with mine was annoyingly small and it was pretty hard to get it on the bleeder. I couldn't do it by hand (as in the video), I had to use pliers to push it on and the tube tore in my first attempt.

    Does the rekluse clutch slave cylinder help change the lever point to half way on the clutch let out?

    • @RekluseMotorSports

      Hey Anthony, thank you for reaching out! Our slave cylinder will move the clutch modulation point closer to the handlebars, as well as widen the friction zone. This will decrease the "on/off" feel of the clutch feed, giving you more control for smoother takeoffs.

    What would it mean if after installation the pull is reduced significantly but then after some time requires more effort, almost back to the level required to pull in the clutch with the stock slave cylinder?

    Does this reduce the clutch lever pull? Also can you use it with Softbrake's Reduced reach clutch lever?

    • @RekluseMotorSports
      @RekluseMotorSports  4 года назад +3

      Hello and thank you for your question. Yes, this will reduce clutch lever pull. We designed the slave cylinder to reduce the clutch lever pull by the maximum amount without compromising clutch control, modulation and shifting performance. We have installed the product with aftermarket levers. The only problem we run into is the bleeding process during installation. In those instances, we’ve been able to bleed the clutch slave cylinder using the stock lever and then putting the aftermarket lever back on after the bleeding process is complete. You may experience slight clutch drag with the combination of the aftermarket lever and the Rekluse slave cylinder installed, making it difficult to find neutral sometimes.

      I have Softbrake's reduced levers on my 2019 Road King Special and today, I installed this Rekluse product. I did not have any issues bleeding the system and the clutch is awesome now! I can literally shift with my pinkie finger and hold the lever in with no tension. I highly recommend this product!!

    Your written tool list has one hex driver, the photo shows two different size hex drivers. Additionally the hose clamps on the heat shields must be loosened, maybe add a 5/16 socket for a 1/4 inch drive for that. Much easier than a flat blade screw driver... Plan on installing one of these soon so I checked it in detail..

      Yes, it will expand the friction zone, providing improved control at the lever and resulting in better take offs. For full product details, please visit this link:rekluse.com/product/slave-cylinder-assembly-hd/
