If you've got nothing to hide then you've got nothing to be afraid of, right officer?

Weird. Government doesn't want the people that pay for them and elect them to be able to investigate them?

Because why would you want public accountability in an age where public mistrust of police officers is at an all time high?

WOW, nice way to be able to shuffle bad cops behavior under the rug.....
We ALL know the when cops investigate themselves, there is NEVER anything that they did wrong. It is always the citizen that did not "comply" with their "lawful" orders.....

Desantos is wrong with this law the people have the right to judge the police. Their should be at least 3 members of the country on the board, like delighting a jurey.

Horrible idea. No reason for this other then police getting immunity from misconduct. If I were a Floridian I would take note of this when casting my vote. This is not a small thing, it is hugely impactful on the rights and safety and freedoms of the public and the overreaching power of an elected official and his enforcers. Some of what DeSantos does is smart, this is calculated and pretty evil. I hope it has a serious backlash on him and he is either forced to reverse it or it ultimately loses him a reelection(though I doubt the latter)

I’m not so sure that he is a republican. He’s always seemed a little off to me. I support the police but every once in a while there is a bad apple in the bunch. Ha being them investigate themselves is like having a group of doctors investigating another doctor for malpractice.
