@scott7045 as long as you use good form and are mindful of how you are doing your job its no different than an intense workout. The body can handle so much more than you think but you got to watch how you work and how you eat.
I want to see a video that compares pay, benefits, schedules, equipment and perks between some of the best food service companies. It’s hard to choose without knowing what separates each one.
To new food service employees: work life balance with a couple hundred or so less or more is the difference in misery and happiness. PFG I was doing ( not legally ) 20 hour days. 18k in two months. Great pay, terrible management, terrible work life balance. 5-600 miles a day. Now at GFS for one month: already have a tolerable route, maybe $100 less a week, 8-10 hour days and management that portrays that they care. These are real experiences and my best advice is to consider other factors besides money!!
Ive worked for sygma and always heard sygma was the highest paid food delivery company to work for. We got paid by weight stops and miles and I can only speak from my experience but I'll say I was grossing about $3,000 a week and I was only working about 50hrs a week which is equivalent to $60 an hour if you do the math but I will say they don't treat drivers the best and especially new drivers.
Bro I’m a selector there and I hate it 😂😂 any pointers on the stacking while I’m still there ? I get it done but they weird about the stop sortation it’s impossible to not bury stops 😂😂
Worked at Sygma for years. Started as a selector and moved to a yard driver because of previous work experience. Was on route to get a cdl but the company is sl disorganized and the management is full of high-school level drama. I had to call it quits.
@yodambomb4974 part of the solution could be Sygma stop cramming every last stop on one truck but I will say at some point yes a case is gonna have to be buried to stabilize the skid but it sucks when you can tell a selector just didn't care and buried the cases to make his or hers job easier. Also some times skids are built nice but then the loader loads it backwards so all the work that selector did building that skid and trying not to bury cases was for no reason.

What are the routes like and schedule like? Do you enjoy working there? There's a sygma close by and really thinking about joining them but ain't much info on them
@Anonymous 5 days a week schedule and depending on the location you work will depend on how far you will travel. Here in southern California will only go further east is Arizona and furthest north is the Bay. The minimum pay after training is 1500 a week plus other things added so u can make well over that a week. The training is 800 a week takes about 2-4 weeks. I'm currently in my first week of training and I'm liking it so far.
