Assetto Corsa: ACR Ferrari SF71H | Hypersoft vs Hard Tire Comparison

- Two F1 qualifying laps at Silverstone to compare the laptime delta between Pirelli's softest compound, and their hardest (used) offering. Why? Curiosity and an excuse to thrash this great mod around.
You can get the car here on the AC Racer Facebook page:

....it's still faster on Hards than some previous generations of F1!
Nice stuff!
1:25.5=3/10ths faster than on real life F1 #BritishGP......
How did you get the changing color tires?
ZeldaACFan17 This mod has different liveries in the menu like any other car, but the only difference between paints is the tire color. I like it way more than having to manually change the textures like in other mods.
Even better, the Dynamic Shaders Patch by x4fab (Ilja Jusupov) allows you to have tire textures specific to the setup options!
ZeldaACFan17 Oh that's news to me, nice.
With hypersofts, you get more grip, but worse tire life, while harder tires gives less grip, but you don't have to pit that often
Thanks captain obvious
Ain’t no way
Gained 3 seconds in 1 lap😧
Where'd the extra compounds come from? A mod?
No, in F1 2018 there are the hards and hypersofts. In 2021 it's not in the game
@@overthehorizon4959 Yeah I already knew that part, I was wondering how they got the extra compounds in AC
@@decypheredmatrix ok
@@decypheredmatrix From my research, I don't think there is a way to change just the tire compounds and have the corresponding colors match. I've seen like a 19 second video of someone who was able to get it to work but my guess is that is some sort of coding things they went in and created themselves. It doesn't appear to be a feature available in the game and I can't find a mod to do it for me. It seems the only way at the moment is to either go into each cars liver (RSS_Formula_Hybrid_2021 in my example here) and swap out the tire texture/skins to match whatever color you want. There are some Pirelli tire mods on the Racingdepartment website. You can use those to replace the old skin and go from there, but if you ever want to change it back, you will have to redo what you did. So it's a lot of digging through the files, deleting, pasting, etc. Or, you can do what Chuck was describing in another message above ^ and just copy and paste a bunch of the same liveries and have each saved with seperate tire colors. So for example, you could clone 3 Redbulls and just save each one with a Soft, Medium, and Hard colored tire compound and select what you want each time. But Boxing and having them change colors won't work respectively. But, you won't have to sort through the files each and every time I guess.
I'm not sure why this isn't just a thing to begin with. You can go through and change tire compounds, but for some reason no one ever thought of changing the colors with them as well. It's honestly just stupid really.
Sorry for the book here ^ lmao.
I wonder what super hard will do😅😅
great recreation of the Silverstone track!
